“Nancy is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! I am a first time Rover client and I am completely amazed at EVERYTHING!!! I am a paranoid corgi mom, whom looked past Petco and Petsmart, (nothing against them) but like I stated, I am paranoid. Nancy definitely took away my paranoia by sending me pictures of Max throughout the night and giving me updates on how he was doing. I do have in laws as well that we could have left our, pembroke welsh corgi, Maximus with but as sad as this may sound..(I don't really trust them with the care and attention that we personally give our boy) I feel as though even if I had given them directions, of what time his dinner was and how to give him water, and/or what he seeks in attention, they would have completely ignored me and/or thought I was ridiculous. Being able to let Nancy know what Max needed to be comfortable, and how we gave him his dinner and treats and her being open to do as we asked was just amazing in it self!!! Meeting her for the first time when dropping off Maximus (no meet and greet before hand) she made us feel completely comfortable and reassured us that he was in great hands, and I believed her!!! Remember, I am paranoid haha. The fact the Nancy lives less than 5 miles from where we reside is absolutely amazing. The love that she has for her own fur-babies of all different shapes, and sizes proves alone that she is an animal lover. She made us feel so welcomed and safe, by her doing so we knew our boy Max was in great hands!!! I know I repeatedly say how amazing Nancy is and everything about Rover is amazing (because they helped us find Nancy) but it's true!!! About: First things first- I’ve never been a cat owner. But due to moving a lot as a teenager, I’ve spent years in a household where my adult roommate had two cats (with very dichotomous personalities, at that). The boy was amiable, and eager for attention. The girl preferred to approach rather than be approached, and understandably feisty when someone didn’t know that. I loved those cats so much before I had to move again (about two years later), giving them food and water and cuddles alongside my mother and sister when our roommate went on longer trips. It was through living there that I especially learned to care for two pets that were of the same species, and yet so different in terms of how they received affection and respect. I also watch a lot of cat videos and have friends with cats, so I’m well versed in their body language and what it entails :) If you have any other questions, please ask them and I will be open and honest!

About: For most of my childhood, I never was allowed to have a pet, despite being so eager to have one. However, I did know many friends and families who had dogs and cats, whom I would visit frequently. I would help feed them, walk them, play with them, give them gentle petting when they were receptive, etc. As a teenager I moved around a lot with my single mother and my younger sister, so I got to live with a few different pet owners: One of my adult roommates had an old senior Shih Tzu. The sweet girl had poor vision and moved slowly, but I did my best to help my roommate and handled her dog with care everyday. Another woman I lived with had two cats; the male was affectionate and friendly, and the female was the feisty and shy one. I approached both very differently, aware of their boundaries, and formed a sweet bond with both :) Then my mother’s friend, who had a bunny! I learned a lot about how to give them healthy and fulfilling lives. Bunnies are very high maintenance, yet admittedly my favorite animal to care for. It’s why I actually ended up having a pet rabbit to spend every day with when I lived with my grandmother for years. I’m now living in a faraway town and unable to see my sweet bunny as often, but I’m most experienced in rabbit care and grooming!! All in all, I get along with most animals, and I find animals of all types just precious, even during the more lackluster aspects of having them. I understand each pet is their own individual with unique needs and I will always be attuned to that. I feed crows and pigeons (not around other animals though), I photograph insects and reptiles… yes, I just love animals and living creatures. I have plenty of money saved, but currently no income coming in because I don’t have a job. This is a way I am trying to make money to continue to save up for life expenses. As a result, I am literally free whenever, haha! I have no defined schedule whatsoever, but I do have routines and a list of hobbies I’d love to pursue in my journal. I get up early in the morning to walk around my neighborhood usually, and I do the same during sunset. The rest of the day depends; sometimes I read non-fiction, other times I head to Lake Evans, or see a live music performance at a cafè. I also dedicate some entire days to activism and fundraisers, so if I’m unavailable to care for a pet I will simply be upfront about that! I have a two story house, and it’s quite spacious! For rabbits or other animals that need an extra danger-proof house, the floors are almost completely free of things that pose any danger (such as sharp objects or accessible wires), and can be blocked off when there are visitors. The house has a mix of smooth wooden and carpeted flooring. I have three roommates, but only one is consistently staying in the house, and spends most time outside of the house. She has expressed permission to allow an animal every once in a while, she is trustworthy, and I would never leave an animal around any other human being unsupervised. The house also has a spacious backyard with high fencing and grass. The neighborhood itself is fantastic for dog walking! There’s a walkway with trees, flower bushes, small fields of grass, and it’s a hotspot for hummingbirds haha.

About: I have been a life long dog lover. I grew up on a ranch with many animals which is where my love if animals started. I have always been the go-to person for friends and families who need help dog sitting while they are away. I have experience and background clearance through Riverside County Sheriffs Animal Services as a volunteer and dog foster. When your pet is in my care, they will be treated as my own with love and structure. I am a full time teleworker. I am home with my own dog daily. I am able to tend to the dog’s needs anytime and regularly take short lunch walks to manage energy. I have a fenced yard and multiple kennels in the home, if needed. I prefer to have dogs that can be comfortable in the space without being in a kennel, but it is available if the pup prefers a kennel. If I am caring for the pet in another home, regular check-ins in a scheduled basis.
About: I've had dogs throughout my whole childhood, as well as a cat who I've had since I was 4 who is now 14! I take care of my family's pets when everyone else is out of town as well as try to walk my dogs 2-3 times a week I am currently not employed anywhere, but I am a college student at CSUSB who is on summer break. I am planning on taking a summer class at RCC, but I know how to schedule around that once that happens At my house we have a great system which is our cat gets fed at 7am as well as our pig. I have plenty of money saved, but currently no income coming in because I don’t have a job. This is a way I am trying to make money to continue to save up for life expenses. As a result, I am literally free whenever, haha! I have no defined schedule whatsoever, but I do have routines and a list of hobbies I’d love to pursue in my journal. I get up early in the morning to walk around my neighborhood usually, and I do the same during sunset. The rest of the day depends; sometimes I read non-fiction, other times I head to Lake Evans, or see a live music performance at a cafè. I also dedicate some entire days to activism and fundraisers, so if I’m unavailable to care for a pet I will simply be upfront about that! I have a two story house, and it’s quite spacious! For rabbits or other animals that need an extra danger-proof house, the floors are almost completely free of things that pose any danger (such as sharp objects or accessible wires), and can be blocked off when there are visitors. The house has a mix of smooth wooden and carpeted flooring. I have three roommates, but only one is consistently staying in the house, and spends most time outside of the house. She has expressed permission to allow an animal every once in a while, she is trustworthy, and I would never leave an animal around any other human being unsupervised. The house also has a spacious backyard with high fencing and grass. The neighborhood itself is fantastic for dog walking! There’s a walkway with trees, flower bushes, small fields of grass, and it’s a hotspot for hummingbirds haha.
