About: I've been taking care of dogs since i was a kid. I had my first pet when I was 8 and been a dog lover ever since. Now I have my own two little troublemakers Tobi and Canela, who I've had for 6 years and 2 years respectively. I've had them both since they were small puppies so I have a lot of experience with puppy care. I live a pretty active lifestyle so I love to go for long walks with my dogs and I would definitely be providing the same for your pets. I love to play with dogs and I've definitely been guilty of buying far too many toys for my pups to play with. I provide house sitting, overnight stays, dog walking services, and puppy care. I love to take pictures of animals so you'd also be receiving lots of playtime pictures! Your pets will be my passion and I'm ready to provide any and all services at a good affordable rate! I work full time M-F 9-5 so I can usually accommodate any care around those hours. I typically have very free weekends allowing me to take care of your pets whenever it's needed. I work by the Buffalo Niagara airport so depending on the location I can even provide a quick check-in during my lunch breaks at work. I have a lot of experience with crate training as my younger dog needed it to curb her destructive tendencies when she was left alone at home. I also have plenty of experience with potty training as I've trained both my dogs to be potty trained to go on their pads when they need to potty while I'm away. For any drop in visits I would make sure your pet has had a good amount of enrichment play and gotten plenty of love and affection before my visit with them ends

Ryan was absolutely AMAZING, and I am so happy we found him! He kept us updated the entire time we were away, and allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation knowing our boy was in good hands. Every video he sent us was our dog crying because he was so happy to be around him. We will absolutely be using him for future get aways and cannot rave about him enough. I am so happy we found out go to person for get aways and I know our dog is obsessed with him and would love for him to stay again. I cannot thank you enough for taking great care of Denver while we were away! We will speak to you soon when we get another trip planned and I am sure Denver will be overjoyed to see you again! 🙂

So responsive, knew how to work with a dog that is needy! Sent tons of pictures, since I was nervous leaving him. He loved her from the start, she has a great vibe that dogs can read. Very impressed, definitely will hire again!

About: My mother had a boarding company so I spent a lot of my childhood helping care for all the doggos. I have also volunteered at numerous shelters & farm sanctuaries & have helped care for even more than just cats & dogs. I also have an 8 year old chocolate lab & 2 five year old kitties myself that I love & care for every day. I am currently working part time, with availability anytime after 4 pm Monday through Thursday! In the next 3 weeks my availability will open up a little bit more! I was raised around both cats & dogs & have a very good understanding of how to read both animals. About: I’ve taken care of many different dogs over the years and have worked at PetSmart as a pets hotel associate. I have two dogs (10 and 3 years old). I’ve also owned four cats and babysat family and friends pets before! I am home all day so I am fully available to provide care to pets. I live in an apartment with two dogs and live in walking distance to a park where my dogs love to walk. I have two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your pet if desired. I am home all day and take my dogs for at least three walks a day and we usually visit a park daily.

Marti is fantastic! We had a meet and greet couple of weeks ago. That sealed the deal for me. She had a calming effect on my 16 month old Maltipoo. Missy snuggled up to Marti and trusted her. Marti offered to drive me and pick me up from my eye doctor appointment . It worked out great. Missy was such a good girl riding in Marti’s car. Very pleasant, stress free experience for us. Marti is a kind, smart lady. Her past experience is evident. She will watch Missy again in December at my house for a weekend. So happy to have found Marti.

She not only takes great care of Ozzy, but she sends lots of updates and makes sure your house is nice & tidy after her stay. Highly recommend Katelyn.

Judith made fast friends with our pups and I felt incredibly comfortable with my pups having her as company. She gave them plenty of attention and stuck to their schedule very well. She also provided consistent updates with pictures and videos which helped our peace of mind. The house was left in excellent condition after she left, and she even cleaned a bit. Judith was a fantastic sitting and I would recommend her. We're very thankful.

I have pet sit in my neighborhood plenty of times for families needing last minute assistance! Let me assist you with your pet needs! I’m currently on my summer break from college! About: Growing up my parents got a dog for every child they had and theirs four of us. Ive been in love with dogs since I could remember my first pup ever!! I did spend a year as a bather at Petsmart best job ever so I have no problem with giving your fur babies a nice wash, I’m not much of a runner but I do take my dog on the bike path and I’ll ride while he runs until he’s tired then we’ll both walk back. I love all animals as if they’re mines I get emotionally attached at first site and love and care for them like they are my forever babies. I do currently work 7am-3:30pm but I am very flexible with my hrs and will always be willing to work around your schedule to be with your fur family. I have only trained 2 dogs in my entire life and only got as far as sit right and left paw stay walk and run. I will always have a huge heart for any animal including yours!! About: Hello, I’m Deanna! I have lived in the Buffalo area all my life & previously have had 2 dogs. I currently have a 3 year old dog at home. I have done 100+ services on another platform with a 4.98/5 rating. I am looking for some doggy’s to socialize with, provide them with activity & get some energy out! *Please note I am available for sitting but unable to sleep at the house due to childcare* I work remotely and am available during day for pets that need often check-ins. If your dog cannot be left alone for 4+ hours, I am your girl! I will follow instructions left by owner and check in with the owner if questions arise; everyone has their own routine and I want pet & parent as comfortable as possible.

This was only our second time leaving our dog with a pet sitter, but when we booked our vacation we were hoping Meagan was available again! Lucy was comfortable with her from the start, and she kept us updated throughout the week with how she was doing. Meagan also went above and beyond while she stayed in our home, bringing in our mail and keeping things clean and tidy. She will always be our go to when we need someone for our dog!

Jonathan went above and beyond. He was there for the dogs and kept them on schedule. He provided lots of photos and messages to keep in the loop of all that was ongoing. He picked up after them in the yard when it wasn’t expected. He even brought a toy for one of the dogs when the dog destroyed one of their toys at playtime. I would highly recommend you give Jonathan a go for your pets.

Our cat seems to love Jenna, and she takes 3 masterful pictures of him every time she comes by. She arrives punctually, all the chores get done, and the house has been in order the last few times we hired her. She has been our go to sitter since we found her. We would highly recommend!

Delen was everything I had hoped for in a pet sitter. She was kind, attentive, loving, and responsible with my animals!! I am always worried when I travel away from my furbabies and this go around I was able to be fully present and not have to worry about them at all. She took my dog on play dates, walks around town, the dog park and hung out with him at the house way more than I had expected anyone to. If you want someone watching your furbabies that you can 100% trust, book Delen. She’s a true professional but someone also very personable. Thank you Delen!!!

The dogs had a great time and really enjoyed being with Jeannine. She did take good care of them, she took them for walks and fed them. She did send too the cutest photos of my dogs Lucy and Bandit. I also really appreciate that she watched them last min for me when my other sitter unexpectly canceled the day before I left. Overall, very happy.

FAQs for House Sitting - East Seneca

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in East Seneca on Rover is $77.7 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 587 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across East Seneca. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Seneca walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Seneca maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Seneca choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Seneca. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 87% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
