About: As the VP of a dog rescue and senior shelter volunteer for many years, there isn't an animal I don't feel comfortable handling. From young puppies to seniors, to active dogs and dogs that need patience or positive reinforcement training, I am here to help! I am currently a part of the Department of Education reduction in force, so I have a flexible schedule mornings through mid-afternoon, Mondays through Fridays. I will follow whatever instructions you provide for your dog. If you'd like your dog to get some socialization, I am happy to include our personal dog who is incredibly dog social and tolerant. Please message me if you are interested in that at no extra charge. I am experienced with dogs that are not dog social as well, in addition to reactive dogs and dogs that are wary with people. Really, anything you and your pup need, I am here to provide.

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a kid, helping out family, friends, and neighbors whenever they needed. I’ve walked them, fed them, bathed them, and made sure they were good while their owners were busy. I may be new to doing this consistently through Rover, but caring for pets isn’t new to me at all. About: I watch dogs in my home. Your dog will have plenty of play time with my dogs in my fenced in yard, daily walks, and I enjoy training basic commands and leash walking. *Note: I am not the right fit for dogs who need to be the only dog in the sitter’s home. As a mental health therapist with an anxious dog of my own, I am particularly attentive to your dog’s body language, signs of discomfort, and unique personality. As a dog owner myself, I empathize that it truly sucks that you can’t just text your dog to ask how they’re doing when they’re in another person’s care. My aim is for the next time you arrive at my home, your pup’s booty will wiggle and communicate it all! In the meantime, I welcome your check ins and am happy to send you plenty of pictures and detailed updates. I work from home M-F with a flexible schedule that allows for plenty of yard play and neighborhood walks. Because my work hours are different each day, mid day dog walking is not possible for me unless you live in the Hyattsville/Bladensburg/Riverdale area of Maryland. Communication, safety, and advocating for your dog’s needs are of utmost importance to me. For example, my dog loves trail runs, hikes, and trips to the dog park. Should your dog enjoy any of those activities, you can trust that I will be attentive to their needs and advocate for them in different environments. If you’re not sure but want me to try, I’ll be attuned to your dog’s cues and respect their communication. I will not push them past their limits - they need to know I have their back. I have one large and one small crate should your dog be used to crate sleeping or in the process of crate training. Let’s discuss what your dog needs to feel comfortable when we connect.

About: I’ve been an animal lover since a kid, and am excited to care for your pet! I’m a grad student in MD and am a proud pet parent of 2 Yorkie-mix dogs. I have experience with pet feeding, long walks, and fun playtime. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for dogs of all sizes. My husband and I are fairly flexible, and I often work from home. We have a large backyard where your dog(s) can safely play and enjoy the outdoors. I’m a grad student who has a very flexible schedule. I walk the dogs around 7:30am, brush their teeth, and set out their food. I also go on midday walks so they are mentally and physically stimulated. My husband takes the dogs out for long walks in the evenings as well. We are happy to include your pets into this schedule or add any additional care into this routine per your request and/or according to your pet’s needs. I have a large yard and 2 lovable pups that can keep your dog(s) company. We go on frequent walks and bathroom breaks around our quiet neighborhood and have tons of play space around the house. About: I’ve always loved dog sitting, ever since I was a little kid and would dog sit for all my neighbors. I had a dog, but he had left us and I miss him very much. I love the companionship and am always excited to spend time with new friends! I currently only work once a week, and do school from home, so I have all the time needed to play with and take care of your pet! I have a fenced in courtyard with grass and plenty of space, and friends/family who love to come visit and will give your pet plenty of attention. About: I have always had a dog in my family and now that I have retired and I’m home all day I can help others care for their fur babies so that they will not have to be lonely while their parents are a little busy. I like being outside with my dogs in my yard and watching tv with them. I am retired and spend most of my time going to the park to walk for exercise so I have time to care for my fur babies and others I have two old dogs love lying about and a huge yard that I play with the dogs in that I can close the fence so dogs can run free but in others home I’d follow their rules to the letter and respect their home
