“Abby, did a great job taking care of Piper. She took Piper, on walks, and went swimming with her. She stayed in our home for the weekend and I couldn’t even tell she had been there. Our home looked exactly like we left it. Abby, text me and let me know Piper, was doing fine and sent me a picture of Piper. I would definitely recommend Abby to watch your dog and will use her again when we go out of town again.”

“Summer did an amazing job! She kept me updated daily, letting me know when she was at the house and what she and Roxie did, even including pictures. I will definitely be using Summer anytime I have to travel.”

“Madison did a fantastic job watching our 3 dogs while we were on vacation. She provided us with daily updates and went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of. I highly recommend Madison and will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Sophia took wonderful care of our 3 fur-babies. We were kept up to date and provided lots of pictures while we traveled. She followed our care instructions perfectly and went above and beyond our expectations!!”

“500 stars!! Lisa was great while we were Away for an extended period. Dogs and kitty well taken care of, house well taken care of and she went above and beyond and was very thoughtful. We appreciated it so much!”

“Noah was awesome! Kind to my furbabies, no complaints from them- 2 paws up. Noah was quick at responding and ready to go on short notice for us. This was our first time using Rover; I'm glad I found Noah when needed. We'll be using him again when the time comes.”

“Another great cat-sitting job by My-Linh! I said in a previous review that I wouldn’t hesitate to ask My-Linh to watch Ripley again and I didn’t – hesitate, that is. My-Linh watched Ripley for a second time recently, and it’s clear to me that Ripley really likes her. While I was away My-Linh sent me pictures of Ripley playing with her or just resting comfortably (which Ripley definitely does very well!). As before, when I got home Ripley was in great shape and had clearly been comfortable with My-Linh while I was away. And as before, My-Linh left my home with in excellent condition after her stay. So I again wholeheartedly recommend My-Linh as a pet-sitter and as someone you’ll feel comfortable leaving in your home when you’re away.”

“Aiden was an amazing dog and house sitter. We could tell our dogs were very well taken care of, and it was very stress free for us knowing they were home in their comfort zone. I would highly recommend Aiden for your animal and house sitting needs.”

“My sweet Lexi loved al the attention she received. My house was in perfect order when I returned home. And most importantly I got lots of updates while I was away. Kristi did a great job and I would definitely recommend her to my family and friends”
“Haley was great!! She cared for my 3 dogs at our house for 2 weeks. She stayed in consistent contact and provided me updates and pictures without me having to ask. Treated our pups like they were her own 🫶 I highly recommend her! We will hire her again!”

“We had an amazing experience with Dawn watching our dogs and house. She were reliable, caring, and kept us updated while we were away. Our dogs were happy and well cared for, and our home was left spotless. We felt completely at ease knowing everything was in great hands. Highly recommend and would absolutely use her again!”

“We had a different rover booked, but he had to back out, due to his pet becoming ill. She happily stepped up and took care of our two dogs and our place. Our dogs are occasionally difficult, but she asked some questions and adjusted to them. We would definitely have her back. Thank you”

About: I’ve been looking after my grandmas Doberman and Husky/German Shepherd mix for about two years as well as other friends’ dogs from Golden Retrievers to Cavaliers. My household also has a Doberman and my own Cavalier. I’ve raised 3 of my dog’s Cavalier puppies until about 3 months old. I know my way around big and little dogs, I am athletic and willing to walk for extended periods of time, and I have much experience around animals of all kinds. I work a small job from Tuesdays through Thursdays in the afternoon. Tuesdays I’m not available after 3:00, Wednesdays I work only an hour around 5-6, Thursdays are 6-8. I have a fenced area for when animals need to be taken out. I’m very comfortable crating or keeping dogs out, whatever the client prefers. I’m also very comfortable around big dogs, and have no problem handling any dog that seems too strong or uncontrollable.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve personally owned pitbull breeds, so I’m very comfortable handling strong, high-energy dogs, but I also have experience with small breeds and cats as well. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals. I’m reliable, patient, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time with pets whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication routines, or just keeping them company. My military background has also made me very responsible, organized, and dependable, so you can feel confident your pets will be safe, cared for, and treated like family with me. I currently have a very flexible schedule and a lot of availability throughout the week. I recently graduated college and am waiting to begin active duty military service, so right now I’m doing side work and pet sitting for extra income while I prepare for that transition. Since I’m living with my sister and have fewer day-to-day obligations, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care, walks, playtime, check-ins, and keeping pets company. I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays with flexible hours. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize safety, consistency, and comfort. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any specific care requests from owners. I have experience with both large and small dog breeds, including pitbulls, as well as cats, so I’m comfortable handling different temperaments and energy levels.
About: As a lifetime dog and cat owner, I know the feeling of wishing you could do more for your pets. From volunteering at an animal shelter growing up to having a 60 pound hound, I am confident that I can provide your pet with great care. I work full time, from home and am able to make runs to homes for doggy potty breaks or longer visits. Early mornings are great and anytime after 3:00 I will always be available. I will be a companion for your animal, a friend. Being respectful of client’s houses is my top priority. I am working full time from home, making my schedule extremely flexible for pet care. Early mornings or late evenings all will work with my schedule. I will ensure gates are locked/ closed prior to letting pups out, if applicable. It is important to me that your pet has plenty of water in this Florida heat. The details are important to me.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Milton
Ripley is always relaxed and happy when I come home after Taylor has been watching her. In fact, this time when I got home after almost two weeks Ripley greeted me, but also spent some time clearly looking around for Taylor. She kept looking expectantly toward the door as if she was saying, ‘Okay, I get that you’re home, but where’s Taylor?’ That tells me how much she likes Taylor accepts that she’s part of her world. I’m always comfortable leaving Ripley, and my house, in Taylor’s hands. I love that Ripley is comfortable too. As always when Taylor stays at my house to watch Ripley, the house was spotless when I got home. I try to leave it that way; Taylor always keeps it that way. Bottom line: another five-star performance by Taylor. I highly recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Milton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Milton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Milton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
