“Stephen was awesome, kept Gracei happy and safe during her visits while I had to work. I felt very comfortable leaving her there for my first Rover experience and first puppy ever. He kept me updated throughout the day and is very flexible with time. Thank you and can’t wait to book with Stephen again!”

“Ricky took my puppy for a semi last minute daycare visit. It was her first time staying somewhere without me, and she had lots of fun and came home happy. Ricky was very responsive and sent a video in addition to pictures. I’ll definitely be booking with him again!”

“Noel and Martha were absolutely wonderful! Their home is perfect for fur babies and our 7mo pup had an amazing time. He was exhausted by the end of the day after all the fun and play. They kept us updated throughout the day and sent plenty of photos showing him playing, eating, and relaxing. It was such a blessing to have peace of mind knowing he was being taken care of and enjoying himself at that. We highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future!”

About: I’ve had multiple pets since I was young and always had a great love for all animals. I have had my dog since I was 6 years old and been taking care of her since then. Neighbors and family members have always trusted me taking care of their cats, dogs, bunnies, and birds and I love meeting and forming a connection with them all! I also have experience with senior and special needs as my dog had some behavioral issues in the last few years of her life and she has taught me a lot about having compassion for everyone. 🩷 My school year is over so I am currently home for the summer and will have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I also am available on breaks as well and would love to walk your dog during those times! I am majoring in animal studies with a minor in environmental studies in college and have a very strong love and passion for all animals. I have a big fenced yard for your dog to run around and play in! My both love all types of pets and are super welcoming.
“Very satisfied with the care of my puppy. Rosmery is a very kind person. My puppy quickly went crazy for her when she picked her up. I loved that she sent me photos while I was away from my Luna. My puppy was very happy when I came back to get her. —————————————————————- Muy satisfecha con el cuido de mi perrita, Rosmery es una persona muy amable, mi puppy rápidamente se volvió loca con ella al cogerla, me encanto que me envío fotos mientras estaba lejos de mi Luna, mi perrita estaba muy feliz al regresar a buscarla. “Lisa was the best dog sitter. She was friendly, kind, and communicative. She helped us out so last minute. She took great care of our little Hunter. This was my first time using rover and I would definitely recommend Lisa to anyone. She responded to my concerned mom texts and sent pics of our pup hanging out outside. Hunter was smiling, happy, and seemed worn out after his stay with Lisa. We cannot thank her enough for all her help. Thank you so much Lisa!!!!! ?”

“This was my German shepherd, Evie's, first daycare with Laura. Evie was a bit anxious at first but Laura got her to a calm state quickly and Evie enjoyed playing with her pug, Winston. Laura kept me updated and sent several pictures. Good experience overall and will be back”

“Wendy gave video and picture updates throughout the day. It was awesome to see my 4 month old pup playing with other dogs. Hazel was snoring in the car before we made it one block! 😂 Very good communication. Definitely recommend.”

“Kristen was great with our 3 month old puppy. She was flexible, sent us plenty of pictures, and responded quickly. It was a serene getaway for him and he looked very comfortable in her home. She took him on walks and he walked really well with her. On the second day drop off Kameron was wagging his tail as we walked inside and went straight for a prized green toy he loved. The pictures she sent were beautiful and she was very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her would absolutely use her again.”

“Dani was amazing! Took my dog to her 3x and she was excited each time. Photos and updates were sent without asking. I would definitely book anytime to take care of my fur baby. I highly recommend.”

“We’re so happy we found Dyan. We contacted her on short notice for a work trip to NYC, and she was incredibly responsive and kind. She took the time to ask about Rocky’s habits and routine, which made us feel confident he would be well cared for. Throughout the day, she sent updates and adorable photos. Rocky looked so happy and relaxed (seriously, he was smiling). It was clear he felt comfortable in her home and was getting lots of love and attention. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful sitter. Thanks again Dyan!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
