I provide calm, reliable care for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and the occasional household plant that has been left in my emotional custody. Most pets do best when their routine stays familiar, so I keep things simple: food, water, walks, litter, meds as instructed, photos, updates, and a steady human who shows up when she says she will. Many of my clients are away for a weekend, a work trip, a vacation, or a longer stay in Maine. Whether you live here year-round, are visiting for the season, or are here temporarily, I help keep pets settled while their people are away. I’m especially comfortable with cats, senior pets, shy pets, multi-pet homes, and animals who need patience before they decide I’m acceptable. HOUSE SITTING / OVERNIGHT CARE Overnight care is limited and best suited for planned trips, established clients, and pets who need a steady routine. I keep care selective so pets stay comfortable and the house stays sane. Before booking, please share your pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, quirks, and anything they believe is legally theirs. DROP-IN VISITS Best for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and pets who prefer their own home and their own couch rules. Visits may include feeding, fresh water, litter, outdoor breaks, medications as instructed, basic tidy-up, and photo updates. Extended visits may be recommended for multiple pets, senior pets, or more involved routines. DOGGY DAY CARE Small-group day care is offered on a limited basis for dogs I already know. Care is calm, structured, supervised, and not a chaotic free-for-all. This is not a high-volume facility-style service. I plan my schedule intentionally to support well-defined care needs and clear timelines. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care whether you’re traveling nearby or farther from home. Safety and consistency are always a priority. I follow established routines, respect household instructions, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience while you’re away.

“Tilly had an amazing time with Polly and her dogs! She is normally timid so I wasn’t sure how she would feel about living with 4 other dogs, but she had a blast. She was able to run with them for hours every day with Polly in the fenced in yard, and cuddled with them for naps in between. They are a really friendly group of pups! She normally has separation anxiety but being with Polly’s pack made her very secure and she had no issues. Polly is also a wonderful communicator and reader of dogs. She sent lots of pictures and took every step make sure tilly was as comfortable as possible. We are SOO happy to have found Polly and feel so much relief knowing we can travel now and not worry about Tilly’s wellbeing. Thank you, Polly!”

About: As a pet lover for my entire life, I am very open to who I will take in. I have taken care of my family’s dogs and cats. As well as friends’ pets as well. Not just our small pets. I worked on my family farm in the middle of Maine near Dover-Foxcroft. That included Horses, chickens, occasionally some cows and donkeys. As this is for the pet, not the money. ❤️🐾 I currently work part time and I’m a mom of a little boy. I have pets of my own that I take care of on a daily basis. I have integrated my son into my pets lives and they’re all best friends. Being with animals has always been a major part of my life! Currently not offering in home services, or house sitting services. However, when checking in or walking pups I do make sure water bowl is filled if I notice it’s low and I make sure to bring a pop up water bowl on long walks in the summer.

About: Hello! I'm Ashley. I am 35 years old. I am from Stuart, FL. I am working in Bar Harbor for the summer and have recently decided to stay through winter until April 2026. I have always been an animal lover and if I could afford a farm and have every type of animal in it... I would. I have owned, dogs, fish, and birds. I have had dogs most of my life. I had a Jack Russell who lived to be 11 years old named Romeo...He was a ball of energy, he had eye problems and needed drops daily. I also had a Rat Terrier named Oliver, we bought him at a year old. He lived to be 14 years old. Most recently my sister currently has a mini golden doodle, who is 4 years old. I loved taking my dogs on the trails in the parks. If I didn’t travel so much, I would love a dog of my own. I work seasonal contract jobs outside the National parks, mainly in the summer season. I go walking everyday & I would love to bring your pup with me. I am renting an apartment but I also work downstairs from it so I can check on them and take them out throughout the day

About: I have had experience with pets since I was I child, my family and I love all kind of pets , I am from Costa Rica so I always had a pet in my house and around from friends and family. I am available most of the time, I am super open to work holidays, weekends and nights, just contact me before booking to check availability. I have my own farm house in Swanville Maine, a very quiet and very peaceful place without many neighbors around, perfect for pets and very near from Belfast.

About: I've always had dogs or cats as pets. I currently have 2 dogs now. Dashy is 16 year old Dashhound who was severely neglected and abandoned at 13 and Beau now 8 is a Rat Terrier mix adopted as a puppy. Both boys are very friendly, happy, healthy and quite spoiled. I also have my Pet CPR & First Aid cert from Red Cross as well as some behavioral training. I work best senior, handicapped and terminally ill pets though the fee may change depending of medical need. I'm retired and I have full daily availability from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and some night time availability as well as overnights. I have a fenced/blocked back yard, another fur baby and plenty of room for them to play. Grass, gazebo and lawn Charis for them! The inside is spacious and safe for dogs and dog friendly cats.
