“Fantastic service. Beautiful country home with huge yard. Sent us photo updates 4 different times. Will use again any chance we get. Thanks again. Danny was so comfortable and super happy.”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“James and his wife did a fantastic job caring for our bulldog! They sent us a ton of photos throughout her stay which we loved. Will definitely use them again for future boarding!”

“Carlina was amazing with our Sugar while we went on vacation. She provided lots of pictures and videos which was very heart warming and appreciated. Her communication is the best. Would recommend over and over again.”

“Diane is absolutely wonderful! She took the best care of our big boy Cane. She communicates regularly with updates and puts your worrying mind at ease. She made Cane feel so comfortable as it was his first trip away from “Mom & Dad.” Her dog, June is sweet and played beautifully with Cane in the big fenced-in yard. I will definitely schedule Diane in the future for our pet-sitting needs and highly recommend her for yours.”

“Leslie was fantastic; so you know, I gave her 5 stars. She sent regular updates via text about my dogs. She incorporated them into her life and did a great job. Clearly they were happy to see me when I got home, but just as evidently they had enjoyed their time with Leslie. I plan to use her again and I would recommend her services to anybody who is looking for some great pet-sitting. Thank you Leslie!”

“Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of Ash!! We were so nervous leaving him for the first time and you immediately alleviated all of our fears! Ash felt right at home and you treated as your own family. Your constant updates and pictures were so thoughtful. Thank you so much!”

“Birdie had such a great stay with Soraya and will definitely be back the next time I need doggy care! Her home and back yard are well taken care of and secure! She treated Birdie like her own and provided regular pupdates!”

“Kaitlyn and her family were so wonderful to our dog, Cocoa! They treated her like their own and she was so spoiled staying with them! Kaitlyn sent several photo updates throughout each day! She took Cocoa on multiple daily walks, made sure she ate her food, gave her a new toy, and even sent her home with a new bandana! It was purr-fect!”

“Maggie so enjoyed her visit with Christina! Maggie has been an indoor city girl in Florida her entire life. This was her first time having the run of a yard. Christina’s yard is huge with lots of trees and things to climb on/through. Her Boxer Bandit and Maggie became buddies right away. Christina was the perfect hostess. Maggie’s 3-day stay could not have been better. I highly recommend her and Maggie will definitely visit again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Brittany and her sons took excellent care of our sweet pup Apollo! I appreciated the daily updates and photos! I would definitely recommend this family to other pet owners!”

“Vanessa was absolutely wonderful with my Terk. She kept me posted with updates and pictures while I was away. I came home to a happy pup who had a blast with her pup as well. I will definitely be taking Vanessa as a sitter in the future. Not only was she great with Terk but so pleasant to communicate with.”

“Bailee was a total lifesaver! She was able to keep my Charlie on short notice, and I felt so comfortable with her watching him. She’s very pet knowledgeable, has a wonderful home, and couldn’t have been nicer! Thank you Bailee! You will definitely be on our list next time we are in town!!!!”
“Our two dogs had a wonderful stay! We really appreciated all the updates and pictures, and it was so reassuring to know they were happy and well cared for. We’d definitely recommend and would book again!”

“Roxy had another great stay with Terry and Kristal while we were away on vacation! She loves it over there and the attention and freedom she gets. They sent us lots of pictures while we were away so we’d know she was doing well and being a good girl while she was there. We’ve used them for the past few years for our dog sitting needs and don’t have any plans to use anyone else! Thanks again, Terry and Kristal!”

“Kyle was a great pet sitter! She is super friendly, very responsive in communication, and provides steady updates on how things are going. Her dog, Louie, is a total sweetie and Raz obviously liked hanging out with him. Raz was happy and healthy when I picked him up, which is the whole point! I would definitely recommend Kyle and look forward to contacting her again.”

About: I am a farm girl from way back, and have been around animals of all kinds since I was a child. As my children were growing up we always had cats and a dog in the house. I have a big fenced yard that allows animals to get plenty of outside time. I would be honored to take care of your fur babies while you are away. I have a flexible job so I can fit my walks with dogs or feedings when needed . On weekends I will build my schedule around the care that I am providing . I am home most of the time on weekends, and will be happy to incorporate your pet into our family. I have a big fenced yard at my house which allows for exercise and just being outside when boarding at my house . If I come to your house , I will take care of animals as instructed , and observe to make sure all is well in the home .

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dunns Rock home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dunns Rock.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dunns Rock sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
