“I can't recommend Megan enough! She watched our pup while we were out of state. She sent us so many updates with pictures. We were never left wondering how our dog was doing or what she was up to. Our pup loved sniffing around the fenced in back yard and sunbathing outside. We will definitely use Megan again in the future!”
“Brandi & her family took great care of my pup over the holidays! Brandi was very communicative, sent lots of photos and was accommodating when I had changes in booking dates/times. I’d be happy to reach out for boarding needs in the future !”
“Alora was super great! My little old man had such a blast and is now pleasantly tired! She did well keeping me updated with lots of pictures! 10/10 Will be booking with her again!”
“Took great care of my boxer Dolly! Very communicative and clear with instructions. Sent daily photos and videos which put me at ease, as it was the first time being away from Dolly. She really took to their dogs in the best way. Highly recommend, and will be a return customer if needed in the future!”
“Holly and Joe went the extra mile to make my little buddy comfortable. Bodie‘s anxiety got the best of him, and they sacrificed sleep and inconvenience to make sure he was safe. Your dog is in good hands with Holly and Joe!”
“We were a little worried when we needed to do a long trip away from our dog, but we found this amazing family that took a great care of Samy and gave him extra love throughout the storms when he needed! We were so happy Samy spent the time with them! And we are so lucky to know we can count on them for future occasions! Thank you so much, we are beyond grateful!! ❤️”
“Charish did a fantastic job with our Sheepadoodle, Nooga for an overnight stay. We did a meet and greet the week before her stay. While we were gone we got updates with pictures! Nooga seemed to be content and enjoyed her stay. Really appreciate The Charish took to love on our girl!”
“I recently had the pleasure of using Justin's in-home dog boarding service, and I can confidently say it was the best decision I could have made for my furry friend. Justin not only provided a safe and loving environment for my dog but also went above and beyond to ensure his comfort and happiness. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that Justin has a genuine love for dogs.Throughout my dog's stay, Justin provided regular updates and photos, which allowed me to see just how well my dog was being cared for. I could tell that he was not only well-fed and exercised but also given plenty of love and attention. I would highly recommend Justin's in-home dog boarding service to anyone looking for a comfortable and loving environment for their furry family member. Thank you, for providing such exceptional care for my dog. I will definitely be returning in the future!”

I'm available 24/7 for belly rubs, walks, snuggles, and treats. Whether it's snoozing inside or sunning outside, your little one makes the call. My backyard is small but fenced, and very secure. Yours can be the only dog or cat if necessary, as I don't currently have any of my own. You'll get lots of pictures and daily check-ins.
“Absolutely fantastic!!! Sonja and Yolanda treated Remi like he was their own dog. Daily update pictures and videos, and consistent communication. They also took him in for two more days after a flight cancellation. I cant be more thankful!!!”
“Andrew was great! Flexible, communicative, and totally trustworthy with Benji. We will use him again as our dog sitter very soon! Our new regular, when scheduling allows.”
“I have an American Pit bull named Roxy, She doesn’t like everyone but she seemed comfortable in the home of Megan and Jeff, I haven’t noticed any behavioral issues after Roxy returned home as I have with other dogs and other boarding places. I felt very comfortable leaving Roxy with Megan. My only fear was that Roxy may not have wanted to leave when I returned from my trip… Stephen Anderson”
“Christina is absolutely wonderful. I would definitely leave my Ember with her anytime. Christina has a nice house (and yard) which Ember loved because she played fetch with the tennis ball in the house (video sent to me while on vacation). I really like that Christina lets dogs in her house where they get one-on-one time with a person, instead of outside in a kennel away from frequent human interaction. Communication was excellent.”
“Monica was wonderful!! We were able to enjoy our trip, knowing our baby was well taken care of! Monica sent photos daily & let us know how our puppy was doing. Roxie, our puppy had a great time playing with her cat!! We will definitely use her again!!”
“I boarded Zade with David for 3 days while away on a work trip. I was nervous as it was my very first boarding and got Zade from Mac a few months ago. David is fantastic! I got updates every day, he continued with Zade's training, and let him spend a lot of time outside in his fenced yard. I got to pick up a loving calm happy dog, which is priceless for me. I would use David for boarding again anytime.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dunlap home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dunlap.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dunlap sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
