About: I currently have a bloodhound and 4 cats, as well as a foster dog. My had my last dog for 15 years, so I am very experienced in senior dog care. Old doggos have a special place in my heart. I am self employed so I have a fairly flexible schedule so I can usually work around anything that might be needed or come up. I have a fenced in yard as well as a doggie door so dogs have constant access to the back yard. I also walk dogs 1-2 times a day.

About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!

I have worked with all kinds of dog, both in terms of breeds and behaviors. I was also the head trainer and a manager of one of the largest boarding facilities in Vermont, Oh My Dog. The schedule is flexible I try not to work with animals after 10pm I can board pets in my home or yours. Wherever the pet is more comfortable. Pets are more "relaxed" in their own homes, but mine is available.
About: I have had dogs in my family since I was born and I absolutely love all dogs great and small. I have cared for dogs from puppies to seniors and even a cat (shocking I know)! I currently work from home and I am able to give great attention to your pet. If you need any urgent care, just let me know. I like to let pets warm up to me, I don’t like to try and pet them or hold them - I think it’s better to let them learn to like you. Once they’ve accepted me, I’m their best friend!

About: I am the biggest animal lover ever. I love big dogs, small dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, crabby animals, sweet animals, needy animals, and every bit in between. There is nothing that gives me more joy than loving on fur babies! I will make sure your dog gets spoiled rotten and will send pictures upon request. Your baby will get lots of cuddles (if they like them), plenty of exercise, lots of playtime, and unconditional love while you’re away. Your pet(s) will receive multiple potty breaks throughout the day. In addition, pet(s) will get daily play time in large fenced backyard and if requested, daily walks. I have a half an acre fenced backyard, so plenty of space for your pet(s) to run around and play. Clean dog beds, and if preferred for sleeping, crates with beds for all sizes. For the length of the stay, your pet(s) will be able to make himself or herself at home.
