“Fiorella and her family were great! She responded when I needed someone to take extra care of my puppy at the last minute. I can tell by all the photos she sent throughout the day that Smoke was so happy to be there with her family and other pups. She was responsive and made sure to give me updates regarding his current stomach issue. She was so attentive and noticed a small detail about my puppy that I forgot to mention about him. I felt comfortable all day with him there with her. I will be a returning customer! Highly recommend!”

“Karley did a great job for us! She was great with Sadie right away. She gave us updates during the day and sent us pictures of Sadie so we could see how she was doing. We were very satisfied and we will be using her again!”

“My pups had a fantastic time with Andressa and Alex!!! My 2 Shit Tzus have never been around big dog and I was so worried but my fears were put to rest because they slowly introduced Dobby to my pups. Andressa and Alex sent me pic and video’s throughout the day! My pups are learning how to play with other dogs!! I can see a big difference in such a short period of time. Highly highly recommend your fur baby with them!!!”

About: I currently run a non-profit animal sanctuary (The Isle of Misfits) from my farm, and have worked with animals for the last 15 years. I have years of experience with animals with complex medical needs such as hind-end paralysis, congestive heart failure, and sight impairment. I also LOVE senior fur babies, and have several of my own. I currently work from home and am only out of the house two mornings a week. My entire life revolves around the care of my own animals, and I would be honored to care for yours as well! I’m available to do drop-in visits in a client’s home, but I am also more than happy to board animals here at my five acre farm. My own animals reside in a tiny house village on the property, and are kept separate from visiting animals. I have three fully fenced pastures to allow for plenty of room to run, and a swimming pool to cool off during the summer months!

“I have only left my fur baby with 3 people in the last 5 years and Abigail is the 4th...I trust Abigail with Madyson... Madyson had love and attention not only from Abigail and Abigails daughter, but also from Abigails fur babies... I loved not only the updates about how Madyson was doing but also the pictures that Abigail sent to me... This was the first day, of I hope many days, that Madyson will stay with Abigail and play with her new friends... Thank you Abigail for giving me the peace of mind knowing that Madyson is loved and cared for when I am away and she is with you!”

About: Hi! We are an experienced dog owners with three wonderful dogs of our own (ages 1, 3, and 5). All of my dogs are neutered, social, and great with other dogs. We regularly work with rescue fosters, helping them learn routines, build confidence, and eventually find their forever homes. My husband and I work from home, so your pup gets plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. One of our dogs are crate trained, and we’re happy to follow any schedule or routine your dog is used to. I also have hands-on experience with puppies and senior dogs, from potty training and basic manners to slower-paced care, medication reminders, and gentle handling for older pups. My home includes two young children (ages 1 and 4) and my husband who are used to being around dogs and know how to behave gently. My husband and I are both providing care. I have a spacious backyard (not fenced), and our neighborhood features a fully fenced dog park where dogs can safely run and play. Dogs truly are part of our family. Whether your pup needs playtime, company, structure, or a calm spot to relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I can’t wait to meet your dog! Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. My husband and I both work from home, which means our dogs are rarely alone. I’m almost always around to give them attention and care. I make sure they get potty breaks every 2–4 hours, take nightly walks to stretch their legs, and enjoy regular trips to the dog park for socialization and playtime. My schedule allows me to spend a lot of quality time with my own dogs, and we love keeping them active, happy, and well-cared-for throughout the day. My husband cares for our dogs to allow more specialized attention for any day care or boarding dogs in the home. I have a yard (currently unfenced, but will be soon) where dogs can enjoy some outdoor time. My own dogs are with us all day and night, while our foster dog sleeps in his crate at night. I work closely with the foster to dog help get trained and socialized, and your pup will have the company of our three friendly dogs: a husky, a poodle, and a cavachon. I also take nightly walks and visit the dog park when the weather isn’t too hot. Meals are served in separate spaces, and we don’t leave dog toys out to prevent any reactivity, but my dogs have plenty of toys to play with when appropriate. We have been pet owners for 16 years and grew up with multiple dogs and cats, so animals have always been a big part of our lives. My goal is to make every visitor to my home feel comfortable while also providing alone time as needed during the day.
About: I’ve had a dog since I was 15. She’s now 11 years old and a healthy pup. I was a certified vet assistant a few years back but could not handle the emotional pain of watching dogs pass in the medical field. I still love dogs and cats and enjoy caring for them. I work full time overnight so I am able to spend daytime with your pet! Tuesday and Wednesday are my usual days off. I can typically spend 6-8 hours with your pet before I leave for work at 9:30pm. My pets are kept indoors and on our screened patio. They keep a strict routine and enjoy sunbathing on the patio. It’s a relatively new home so the screening is strong and has never been broken. We have two litter robots and my home is always in clean condition.
“Kaity and Sebastian did a wonderful job watching our pup! They were able to keep up our dog’s routine and sent updates and pictures throughout the day so we never had to worry about our girl. They took such great care of our dog and we can tell she had a such a fun time hanging out with Kaity and Sebastian!”

About: Hi! We’re Jeff and Steph. I work from home full-time, and Steph is a teacher with summers and holidays off, so your dog will get plenty of attention and care. We provide a calm, structured home environment and tend to do best with hypoallergenic or low-shedding dogs. We’ve had dogs for years and are very comfortable managing multiple dogs in a home setting. We currently have two doodles, Rudy and Carolina, and are used to reading dog behavior, introducing dogs slowly, and keeping a calm, structured environment. We focus on routines, supervision, and making sure all dogs feel safe and comfortable during their stay. We’ve also hosted dogs for friends and family and understand how important it is for owners to feel confident leaving their dog in a safe, reliable home. Pet care fits very naturally into our weekly routine. I work from home full-time, so I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and a calm, structured environment throughout the day. Steph is a teacher and has summers and holidays off, which gives us even more flexibility and coverage during busy travel times. Between the two of us, dogs are rarely left alone and are part of a steady, predictable routine that helps them feel comfortable and at ease. We provide a calm, safe, and structured home environment. I work from home, so dogs receive consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and attention throughout the day. We have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and all dogs are introduced slowly to ensure everyone is comfortable. We only take a small number of dogs at a time to keep things low-stress and manageable. We follow each owner’s routine as closely as possible to help their dog feel at home.

“I was very happy with Connie's flexibility. I need to drop my dog off pretty early, around 7am and that was no issue. My dog mixed with her 2 dogs easily. I will definitely book again. Security, safety and love. Can't beat that combination.”

“My dog loved all the attention he received from Robert and his brother. I could see how happy he was from the wonderful picture that were send during his stay. I could also tell when I went to pick him up and he wasn't rushing to leave. They provided a very home like stay with plenty of toys and attention. I will definitely call on Robert next time my dog needs daycare or boarding.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
