“I always feel so comfortable leaving my dog when I go out of town. Jared takes wonderful care of her and always send lots of pictures so I see how happy she is while staying with Jared.”

“We had a wonderful experience boarding our golden with Fabienne! She is such a sweet individual and obviously has a passion and love for animals. She updated us often with pictures and videos to see how he was doing. He had so much fun! We will definitely book with Fabienne again!”

“I highly recommend Kelly. Bella was well taken care of and seemed to have been happy to "bond" with her dogs. Kelly was easy to communicate with and sent photos and updates . I would definitely board my dog with her again .”

“Matthew and Heidi took excellent care of our 2 dogs while we were away for 10 days at Thanksgiving. We really appreciated the photos and updates about how our dogs were doing and how they interacted with their family members and the other dogs at the house.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would. Beautiful home, kindest hosts, lovely fenced yard, videos and pictures every day, safe neighborhood, I could go on. 100% will be trusting them with my baby whenever I need it.”

About: I bring 12 years of hands-on experience with a local dog rescue, including fostering, training, and caring for dogs of many breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. We have fostered everything from young puppies to dogs over 100 pounds, so I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I’m also comfortable administering medications and providing extra care when needed. My experience has taught me to pay close attention to a dog’s behavior, body language, comfort level, and individual personality. Because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work, I’m able to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. Most importantly, I understand that every dog is different. I take the time to learn what makes your dog comfortable, happy, and feel at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work. Your dog will have plenty of companionship, attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away How I Care for Pets Our personal dog passed away a few years ago, and while we aren’t ready to get another dog just yet, we truly miss having one around. He was spoiled and treated like another member of the family, and that is the same warmth and care I provide to every dog I look after. I offer in-home boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. Whether your dog stays with me or I care for them in their own home, I’ll follow their normal routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
“I cannot say enough about Debbie (and her husband Chris)! As a pet mom, I really need to have confidence in my sitters so I can get work done, or just to be able to relax. I have not found anyone better than Debbie to watch over my Tommy. She sends photos and lets me know how he's doing while I'm gone. He even fell in love with Gabby, one of Debbie's own dogs! So you know that he loves to go away to camp now! Leaving Tommy with Debbie has been a true godsend because I know he will be safe and loved while his mom is gone. Many thanks to Rover for having someone like Debbie as part of their team!”

“Jonathan was very easy to communicate with and flexible with drop off and pick up. He sent pictures and videos of Lucy in his home and playing with his dog. I could rest easy knowing Lucy was in good hands. I would book with Jonathan again.”

“Bethany was so accommodating and amazing! She was very flexible with our changing drop off and pickup times. She also sent pictures to let us know our baby was having fun! Thank you Bethany! You are so greatly appreciated!”

“Jennifer and family were great with our pup, he loved all of the walks and playtime and sent us great updates and pics! We will definitely use them again. Thank you!”
About: I love animals and have grown up raising, training, and taking care of their overall well being. I raised and trained a pitbull pup (Nova) until she was 5 years old, with experience from taking care of cats and dogs at the time, and I now live with 2 cats and 2 dogs! I've had the cats since they were 3 months old and are now 1 year old! Both dogs are still young and both are socialized so they know and understand boundaries and are pet friendly. If you have any questions you are free to reach out anytime! I work full time, 7a-3p. I like to give boarding dogs their own room while I'm away, and I have camera's set up in there in case of an emergency. When I'm boarding I like to take them out for a few hours before I leave, bring them inside, play and/or work on any training with them and make sure they have everything they need. When I come home first thing I do is let them outside. I have tie outs so I'll watch to make sure they don't get tangled, play with them, or just keep them company if they just wanna sit. While I'm home I do allow pets on the couch, I'll have the tv on, and hang out with them or play with them, depends on the pet. My availability on Rover may not always be correct, I may be boarding other pets or house sitting. I will always let you know what's going on and see if we can make an arrangement. Feeding, giving water, cleaning litter, giving medicine, playing with them, letting them outside and/or walking them. Some things like giving medicine will need to be specified and especially if you have certain feeding habits I should be aware of just let me know. I will also send you photo updates on how they're doing!
“Kim and Bill agreed to care for Benne Wafer as a last-minute request. I needed to take a 2-night trip related to my employment. The original dates for my trip (when my daughter was scheduled to keep Benne) had to be postponed due to snow and extreme temperatures. Kim and Bill immediately accepted my request. I put worries about my high-maintenance pup aside so I could concentrate on meeting my new project team. Benne and I highly recommend Kim & Bill! 🐾😊”

About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life. My friends all call me to watch their precious pups when they go out of town. I love to spend time with all animals, playing with the dogs, petting the cats, feeding the reptiles, the list goes on. I have cared for animals in all walks of life, from babies, puppies to senior animals. I love taking them for a walk around the neighborhood, chilling and watching a movie together, throwing the ball in the backyard. I do work part time, however I get to make my own schedule. My schedule is very flexible for your animal needs. Pet care is a passion of mine. I can easily take your pet on walks, outside to use the potty, or even play some tug of war with them. I know some pets stick to a special diet for feeding and/or treats and I can stick to their routine or special needs.
About: Love pets more than people 🤣 lol Seriously tho, your pets will get all the love they want! I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life! Cats are by far my fave, but dogs are a close second! Other species will need to be discussed on a case by case basis 🤪 My days are relatively open, so whether you need someone to just check in on your pet, take them out for a potty break, take them on a walk, or even hang out for a few hours, I can probably help 🙂 I’m happy to play games with your pets (or not, if that’s what your pet prefers 😆). I’m also open to boarding - either in my home or yours. I’m open to administering oral meds as needed. I am self employed and therefore able to cater to specific schedules for potty breaks and/or medication as needed. If your pet likes company, I’m happy to hang out with them for awhile. Whether you just need me to stop by your home to check in on your pets or feed and water them, or if you’re away on vacation, I’m happy to help 😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Due West home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Due West.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Due West sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
