“Veronica and her husband were great with our fur baby Opie. From the first hug and handshake I knew Opie was in great hands. Throughout my trip they were sure to send pictures everyday of Opie and were very prompt at responding to messages. I will definitely reach out again in the future and highly recommend them if anyone needs a pet sitter!”

“We are very happy with Nikki and Dave. They provided frequent updates for our peace of mind. Our dog gets anxious when left alone and they made sure that she was accompanied at all times plus they have a fenced backyard where she sunbathed and played.”

About: I bring 12 years of hands-on experience with a local dog rescue, including fostering, training, and caring for dogs of many breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. We have fostered everything from young puppies to dogs over 100 pounds, so I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I’m also comfortable administering medications and providing extra care when needed. My experience has taught me to pay close attention to a dog’s behavior, body language, comfort level, and individual personality. Because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work, I’m able to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. Most importantly, I understand that every dog is different. I take the time to learn what makes your dog comfortable, happy, and feel at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work. Your dog will have plenty of companionship, attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away How I Care for Pets Our personal dog passed away a few years ago, and while we aren’t ready to get another dog just yet, we truly miss having one around. He was spoiled and treated like another member of the family, and that is the same warmth and care I provide to every dog I look after. I offer in-home boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. Whether your dog stays with me or I care for them in their own home, I’ll follow their normal routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

“We had a wonderful experience with Chelsea and Fernando! They were incredibly caring, reliable, and conscientious about keeping our dog on her normal routine. They paid close attention to her feeding schedule, walks, and daily habits, helping her feel comfortable and at home while we were away. Communication was also excellent. We received regular updates and photos, and they were always quick to respond to any questions or messages. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our dog and wanted to make sure she was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend them and will definitely use them again!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I currently have two at the moment. A Long haired chihuahua and a Boston Terrier. I have been dog sitting my best friends dogs when she goes out of town. My mom owns a Golden Retriever who is over all the time at my house. I work a 9 to 5 with a very flexible schedule. Most weekends I am home as well I am working a full time job from 830 to 5pm but it is a very flexible schedule for me. I do not usually do anything on weekends. I love going for walks with my dogs and playing outside in the back yard a lot I treat and care for my own pets like they are my children. I will do the same for your dogs. They a routine potty breaks. I have a huge backyard they can all run and play around in.

“Sydney and Mitch made me feel so comfortable leaving my 10-week old puppy with them. They sent photos and were so communicative. They have so many fun dog toys and a great setup for pet sitting. About: I have been a dog owner my entire life, and caring for dogs has always been a big part of my family. I currently have a dog of my own and understand firsthand how important it is to know that your pup is safe, comfortable, and loved when you can’t be with them. I have experience boarding my own dogs, so I understand what helps dogs feel happy and at ease while they’re away from their families. I know that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs. My experience includes providing daily care and attention, administering medications, bathing and basic grooming, and making sure dogs are comfortable, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay. When your dog stays with me, my goal is for them to feel like they’re staying with family, not just being boarded. I'll give them plenty of love, attention, and care while keeping them safe and comfortable in my home. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home, which means there is almost always someone here to give your dog attention and care throughout the day. Our days naturally include regular potty breaks, meals, playtime, walks, cuddles, and plenty of companionship. I am able to keep a close eye on the dogs staying with me and give them the individual attention they need, rather than leaving them alone for long stretches of time. I understand that dogs thrive on routine, so I do my best to maintain their normal feeding, medication, exercise, and rest schedules while they are with me. I also make time for plenty of love and one-on-one attention throughout the day. Because pet care is part of my everyday life, I am excited to welcome dogs into my home and make caring for them a natural part of my routine. My goal is for every pup to feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while they are staying with me. I want every dog who stays with me to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I have a fully fenced-in yard where pups can enjoy outdoor time, play, and potty breaks in a secure environment. Inside my home, I believe dogs should be able to relax in whatever way makes them most comfortable. My couches are welcome to dogs who enjoy lounging and being close to people, and I provide crates for dogs who are crate trained and feel most secure having their own familiar space. I also have a separate room available for dogs who need some quiet time or prefer to have a break from the activity of the household. I understand that some dogs love being in the middle of everything, while others need a little space to decompress, and I am happy to accommodate both. Most importantly, I take the time to get to know each dog's personality, routine, and individual needs. Whether your pup wants to play in the yard, curl up on the couch, relax in their crate, or have some peaceful alone time, I will do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable throughout their stay.
“Amanda was awesome with our Goldendoodle Ramsey! Ramsey is a LOT of dog, but they handled him beautifully and even took a photo of him in a 4th of July hat, since they kept him over the holiday. We plan to rebook with them again for our next vacation!”

“This was Chip’s first stay with April. April and her family were so welcoming to Chippy and integrated him into their routines! They sent pictures and updates regularly letting us know how he was doing. He came home happy and tired. 😀”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Keowee home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Keowee.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Keowee sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
