About: I own an Italian greyhound, and sighthounds have taught me a lot: reading their sensitive body language and using gentle handling and leash technique. I've also given medication to pets in my care, so I'm comfortable and confident handling pills, liquids, or other routine treatments your dog might need. I work remotely full time, which means I'm home and available every single day. Visits happen on a real schedule, not squeezed in around a commute. You can count on me to show up on time, follow your instructions closely, and treat your dog's routine as seriously as you do. I work remotely full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day rather than being squeezed in around a commute. I'm home all day, every day, which means I have flexibility to schedule visits throughout the morning, afternoon, or evening depending on what works best for your dog's routine. I treat drop-in visits as a genuine break in my day, not something rushed between meetings, so your dog gets my full attention for the time I'm there. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard, which gives dogs safe space to play and get some energy out, plus a crate available if a dog is more comfortable with a den-like space or needs a calm, secure area to settle. When I'm caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding routines, medication, or specific rules about doors, gates, or off-limits areas. I make sure everything is secured before and after each visit, including locking up behind myself, and I treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own.
“We loved Ash and wished we lived near her so she could watch our dog more often! She was very dependable and we loved all of the photos and updates she sent us throughout our dog’s stay. I would definitely recommend her!!”

“Waylon loves to stay with Bethany and her family! I get updates on him everyday, which eases my mind to not worry about him. Definitely recommend her to anyone in the area.”
About: Avid pet lover looking for fur babies to care for! All pets considered, senior, puppy, kitten, and everything in between. We have raised lots of animals in our home and would love to help with yours. We are a foster home for a few different rescues as well as Greenville county so have experience with many different personalities, temperaments, and quirks as well as administering medications, eye drops, etc. We have fostered bottle fed kittens, nursing mommas, and pregnant pups. I am a stay at home mom looking to pet sit, drop in, or walk whenever you need me. I have very open availability all week long. If you’d like your pets to stay with us we have a separate office space in the home they can use to decompress in until they are comfortable. They are free to use the whole home and if they’re cuddlers they are also welcome to sleep in the bed at night. As a mother to both human children and furry children safety is my number one priority. I will take any additional precautions that you request. Separate room in home can be offered if they need alone time or to be fed separate from our pets. They are free to use the whole house as well.
“Couldn’t have found a better dog sitter around! Most caring and compassionate and was able to be meet the needs of my family and our dog Apollo during a difficult time on such short notice!! About: I love animals and have grown up raising, training, and taking care of their overall well being. I raised and trained a pitbull pup (Nova) until she was 5 years old, with experience from taking care of cats and dogs at the time, and I now live with 2 cats! I had them since they were 3 months old and they will be turning 1 in October! I work full time, 7a-3p. I like to give boarding dogs their own room while I'm away, and I have camera's set up in there in case of an emergency. When I'm boarding dogs I like to take them out for a few hours before I leave, bring them inside, interact with them and make sure they have everything they need. When I come home first thing I do is let them outside. I let them play in the yard with supervision, I'll play with them, do short exercises, etc. While I'm home I do allow pets on the couch, I'll have the tv on, and hang out with them or play with them, depends on the pet. I also provide pictures during the stay which my main goal is to take every few hours. My availability on Rover may not always be correct, I may be boarding other pets or I may be taking extra shifts for work. Please ask. Feeding, giving water, cleaning litter, giving medicine, playing with them, letting them outside and/or walking them. Some things like giving medicine will need to be specified and especially if you have certain feeding habits I should be aware of just let me know. I will also send you photo updates on how they're doing!
“April kept my pup for 9 days while I was away on vacation. I returned to a very happy Sergeant. With only watching one dog at a time, lots of one on one time. Will most certainly use April in the future!”

“Kim and her husband were so sweet to our pup Ryder! They took care of him like he was their own. They sent cute videos and I knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ware Shoals home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ware Shoals.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ware Shoals sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
