Hailey was wonderful! We needed a short notice drop off for a few hours while we went to a museum, and she responded quickly, was so sweet with our dog and sent us photos even though it was only a few hours. She is great! Highly recommended!

Is there a way to put in 10 stars?? Amy is the person you want to trust your pets to!! We had never left our furry baby with anyone, but as soon as we met Amy, noticed her loving and professional approach and then the amazing facilities (very clean by the way, with organized purposeful defined areas) we were just hooked with her whole concept in pet sitting!!! Amy maintained continuos communication with us, throughout the 2 days she had our pup via texts and emails. She kept us informed on how Benji was doing, sending us multiple pictures she would take throughout the day. My pup had a camp/resort level experience with her and made new friends with very friendly doggies she so perfectly paired him with!! I loved the detailed Rover card at the end of each day with a summary on how my pet did each day including things like how many times he went potty!! I wish there was an Amy K in each town. Pets would be happy away from home and families would know without a doubt that they are safe and cognitively stimulated ( lots of time to play, be loved by his sitter and even time to 3cplore nature...)!! We said by and Amy gave my a card with some beautiful printed pictures and very kind words written by her own hand saying how much she enjoyed having my pup with her. You are so special Amy!!! Hope we can see you again!! You made our long drive from FL to KY worth every minute!! Thank you Amy and the people from Rover for this great experience!!??

Angel, We we're very pleased, she was very accommodating to our needs, and our time. As a pet parent you get a feel your pet is at ease with the sitter. Our Buddy went straight inside as we dropped him off, not even a see you later! High recommend Angel.

We were on our way to the Ark Encounter and needed a place for our two dogs to stay. Mariah and Anthony were kind enough to take them in for the day. Our dogs felt right at home. They have a nice fenced in back yard and was very safe for them to play in. Their two German Shepherds were very nice and friendly and got a long great with our two dogs. Mariah and Anthony were very friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again if we were in the area.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and currently care for a multi-dog household of my own, so I’m very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. From high-energy breeds that need structure and exercise to older dogs who just want a calm, predictable environment—I adjust my care to fit what your dog actually needs. I have hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, crate training, basic commands, and monitoring group dynamics to keep things safe and stress-free. I’m especially mindful when introducing dogs, supervising play, and making sure everyone gets attention without things becoming chaotic or overwhelming. I’m also used to keeping a close eye on behavior and health—changes in appetite, energy, or mood don’t go unnoticed. If something seems off, I catch it early and communicate right away. Above all, I treat every dog like they’re my own: safe, structured, and well cared for… with a little extra spoiling mixed in. Your dog won’t just be watched—they’ll be known, understood, and genuinely cared about while they’re with me. I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility to build my day around the dogs in my care—not the other way around. I’m able to accommodate a variety of routines, including specific feeding schedules, medication timing, crate needs, or just extra attention for dogs who need it. Structured potty breaks are offered at least every 2 hours, and I’m home throughout the day to provide consistent supervision, interaction, care and additional breaks if needed. Whether your dog thrives on structure or needs a little extra flexibility, I can adjust to what works best for them to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. All care is provided in my home, where I keep things calm, structured, and closely supervised. Because I’m home throughout the day, dogs are not left unattended for long periods, and I’m able to actively monitor behavior, play, and overall well-being. I’m very intentional about safety—introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully, and I pay close attention to each dog’s temperament to make sure everyone is a good fit. I don’t allow chaotic, unsupervised group play. Instead, I keep things controlled so dogs can feel comfortable, not overwhelmed. My home is dog-friendly and set up with both secure indoor space and safe outdoor access for potty breaks and fresh air. I also maintain clean routines for feeding, water, and rest areas to keep everything consistent and stress-free. Above all, I treat every dog like they’re my own—kept safe, well cared for, and genuinely looked after, not just “watched.”

About: I've always have dog in my life, and my passion for dogs will last forever. My friend told me that I don't treat my dogs as dogs but babies. Remember, a genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being are at the heart of any successful pet care experience! I'm currently full time house wife with 2 dogs, no kids. My daily routines are my dogs, so I have a lot of time to watch yours too! We walk 4 times a day, and enjoy homemade dog treat and food. I don't have yard so I walk dogs instead (3-4 times a day), and I always clean them right after walking so they are allowed on furniture. Remember, a walk a day keep vet away. I do have crates if needed.

About: We took a break for a while so reviews and pictures are a couple years old but we’re back and would love to take care of your pets. I have been caring for dogs for as long as I could remember. I have experience with with dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities and medical needs. Your pet would be treated just like our own. We can match any type of schedule you have at home. In out home pets are more than welcome to play, eat and sleep where they please but we can crate them when leaving or at night if that’s what you do Being here they would get lots of attention and love. My daughter loves pets and loves to help with everything. We can take them to parks, car rides, walks, play with them and give them lots of love. If your pet isn’t adventurous and playful we also love couch cuddles and relaxing. We will keep you updated with lots or pictures of how they are enjoying their-self. We love getting to experience and take care of the different breeds, sizes and personalities of the dogs and cats. We are available for long term or short term stays. We have a big yard your dog can run around and play in. There is always someone home so pet care is always in our schedule. Your pet will rarely be alone so they will get all the attention and love they need In my home we always have someone to care for your pet since we work opposite schedules. Feeding and potty breaks and stay on the same schedule you do at home, we can go on walks. We allowed animals to be on couches and beds but if you don’t allow that we can keep it that way too

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dry Ridge commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 305 sitters in Dry Ridge, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
