“Alexis was very patient with Morrison as he is an anxious boy and needs some time to adjust to the new environment. She kept me updated with pictures and texts throughout the day so I was not worried. Will definitely be using her again!”

“We were in a bit of a pickle with our 9-week-old puppy, Grizz, and couldn’t leave him alone all day. Holly was kind enough to take him on very short notice and took wonderful care of him. She’s excellent with dogs and puppies, and Grizz was happy and well-looked-after. We’re so grateful for her help and will definitely be bringing Grizz back to Holly in the future!”

“Hannah was so kind and interactive with Joni. We came to SLC for a week from Montana and needed care for our new puppy. She was flexible, available, and trustworthy. I highly recommend her services, and if we ever return to SLC would see if she is available to watch our animals again.”

“Alyssa is awesome. She’s super friendly, communicative and trustworthy. She was sending us pictures throughout the day. It was our first time separated from our dog for so long and it went very smoothly! Sugi is going back in two days :-)”

“Tumaye was a great sitter for my shy boy! He seemed to get adjusted & comfortable super quick & I appreciate the updates on him throughout the day.”

“Roscoe loves playing with his friends over at Maggie’s! Been doing weekly visits and the pup is always whining to get out of the car as soon as we pull up. Maggie sends pics and videos and is the best with staying ahead of coordinating schedules :).”

“We had a fantastic experience with Cari as Moo's babysitter! She was incredibly responsive—we were able to book her less than six hours before pick-up time, which was a lifesaver. Cari is so sweet and made sure to keep us updated throughout the stay. Her care and attention gave us complete peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Amy is truly a gem! She took incredible care of my dog while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was attentive, responsible, and it was clear that she treated my dog like her own, giving her so much love, attention, and care.”

About: I have had pets in my home for my entire life. I have volunteered in animal shelters since 2019 and currently do regular shifts at a local shelter, where I walk dogs (I am trained to the most advanced level, meaning I can interact with and walk dogs who are still working on their social skills and interactions), take dogs and cats on local news shows to encourage adoption, foster dogs in my own home, and take part in educational opportunities to continually advance my animal care and advocacy abilities. My full-time job is remote and has a flexible schedule, so I can hang out with pets for much of the day and take breaks for outside time, playtime, appointments, and so on. I also teach a handful of yoga classes every week, usually in the late mornings, but the times vary from week to week. I am happy to give your pet what they need, whether that's scritichies, playtime, walks, gentle time sitting around, medicine, and so on. Whatever it is, I will be patient with them and their needs.
About: I grew up with dogs in my home and have helped take care of them from the time I was very young until adulthood. I now have a pup of my own in my care! I'm adept to the ins and outs of giving dog medications, knowing when to see a vet, and providing behavioral training. I have helped care for dogs in my neighborhood as well as dogs from other friends and family. I'm a grad student and part-time nurse, but currently I'm a stay-at-home mom to my baby boy, so I have quite a bit of spare time to spend with pooches. In my free time, I'll hangout around the house and engage in playtime with the pups. We go outside for walks about every 4 hours. If the weather permits, I like to also go to the fenced in dog park nearby and throw a ball around. If I'm keeping a dog overnight, they are welcome to sleep in their crate or in the bedroom on the floor.
“Juliet was amazing with Frankie!! She sent so many pictures and videos and I felt soooo comfortable with Frankie being there. Frankie came home happy and tired and we will for sure be using Juliet again!”

About: Hi. I live in Salt Lake City with my sweet cat Salty. I have experience caring for dogs and puppies as well as cats. Since I’ve retired early, I have time for new experiences and to meet awesome pets in new environments. I use a mobility scooter for long distances so walks on sidewalks and flat trails are fine. I’m unfortunately not able to go for walks over rough terrain but I love spending time in the mountains. I have an extensive collection of Airbnb reviews you’re welcome to check out. I’d love to care for your pet and house while you enjoy traveling. I am generally home during the day and night to care for your pet. Overnights at your house are welcome for litter trained or potty trained pets. I have a big but unfenced yard that gets visited by deer and other urban wildlife frequently. I have a leash on a pole outside. I have 2 litter boxes and a door that separates 2 separate spaces in my house. I’m comfortable sitting in the Salt Lake City area for dogs or cats. Unfortunately I can’t take long walks but short walks with my mobility scooter are doable.
About: Please only huskies, shepherds or big furry friends. I’m active, which fits these guys’ lifestyle. They get into trouble if they do not get enough physical and mental exercise. I do not yank their necks, I let them sniff and yonder, I will take them for walks, bike rides, or into the mountains. My best friend passed away almost 3 years ago. He will never be replaced, but I’m willing to watch other fur animals.ig ........ I’m running my own business, so when I work is up to me. Gym and walking/getting out are a form of my therapy and help me think. I do not crate dogs. I give them enough attention and exercise so they aren’t menaces and do bad things. Tall fenced in backyard.

About: Can't wait to meet you and your special animal! I would love to take care of your fur baby while you're away. I've watched my friends animals and rover sittings for years. I live in a pet friendly apartment complex in Sugarhouse where we have lots of areas for walks and outdoor fun. Trusting someone with your pet or in your home is never easy, but I would absolutely treat them as my own pets and keep them happy and safe. My work schedule is 4 days on, 3 days off so my availability will only be my days off when I can take care of your pet full time. Animals in my house or care are treated with utmost love. I have the time and availability now for round the clock care so happy to host them at my house or spend time at yours.
Downtown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Nicole is our new favorite dog sitter! Her care and attention to detail blew us away. She took our Scout on adventures, maintained our preferred puppy training, helped reinforce the habits we wish to keep at home, and truly treated her like family while in her care. She communicated throughly, sent us updates, and made the whole process a breeze. We couldn’t recommend Nicole enough! 10/10 experience! We will be using her again!

Madelaine was wonderful with our 6-month-old miniature dachshund. Even though it was just a day stay, it was immediately clear when I picked her up that she’d had a great day. Our puppy was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Madelaine was kind, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease leaving our pup in her care. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter.

I left my 10-week-old pup with Marisa with a very late notice and she was AMAZING! She communicated frequently and sent me many pictures. She took amazing care of my baby and will book again. I know my little man was well cared for and loved while I was away!

Hannah was so kind and interactive with Joni. We came to SLC for a week from Montana and needed care for our new puppy. She was flexible, available, and trustworthy. I highly recommend her services, and if we ever return to SLC would see if she is available to watch our animals again.

We did daycare with Thomas and he was very communicative, met us and our pup ahead of time (we have an anxious girl but she felt safe with Thomas) and he kept us updated throughout the day. Our girl was sleepy at the end of the night so we’re very happy and we know she had a great time. Thanks, Thomas!

Tumaye was amazing!!! Our dog Yoshi had the best time hanging out with him and playing in his yard! Yoshi has some anxiety but Tumaye was good at making sure he was calm and playing with him! We would 100% have Tumaye dog sit for us again! He was such a life saver!!

Very responsive! Accommodating to our change of schedule within reason obviously. We did a day Sit. Such a relief since we were from out of town. Would definitely use again! The boys seemed very happy and content while there, per pics. And happy when they got back!😁
