I live by the motto "if my dog can't go, neither can I." From coffee runs to brewery hangs, my pup's always by my side. Working from home means plenty of walk breaks for your dog between meetings, plus longer adventures after work. We're an active bunch – hiking, running, and cycling are all on the menu. A worked dog is a happy dog.

Safety, trust & environment
My 60-pound adventure buddy loves making new friends! While we don't have a fence, we're expert city explorers who've mastered the art of leashed living. Your pup will need to be leash-trained for our urban escapades. And I’ll want to know your comfort level for leashed vs. unleashed outdoor adventures.

Information Kerri H. would like to know about your pet
• I need confirmation your dog is potty trained (no reliance on puppy pads allowed); • I need confirmation your dog is fully vaccinated, and gets along with others • I need to know how long your dog can be left alone and in what conditions (crate, free roam, etc.); • Is he/she food motivated and should be fed separately from my own dog? • And lastly — I won’t be able to accept dogs that aren't used to boarding services. Dogs behave differently in and out of their usual environments, and it’s not fair to Rover hosts to be the Guinea pig for how your dog will tolerate being away from you. Please know we open our homes in trust that you’re sharing the best information with us to protect our own pets and homes - thank you!
A typical day
From Sugarhouse and Liberty Parks to Emerson Elementary, Millcreek Canyon, and the entire BST trail network, we know all the best spots! I like to keep pups engaged.

Pet care experience
I didn't grow up babysitting - I grew up dog sitting. And 25 years later, that's still the case! From nurturing my own pets through their twilight years (my latest pup lived to 19!) to caring for Rover dogs from puppyhood to their golden years, this is my calling and what I plan to do full-time after retiring early from Corporate. My home, dubbed "The Zen Den" by regulars, offers the perfect balance of rest and play in a calm environment. I typically host just one guest pup alongside my own, as I believe in giving each dog the attention they deserve, but I can accommodate up to two guests if from the same family. Plus, I live in an apartment so I prefer to keep it comfortable for all!
Reviews

I left my dog Lokum to Kerri's care and everything went great. She is an amazing person, very friendly and excellent communicator. It is also very clear that she is very experienced with dogs. I could not be happier with dog boarding experience, will definitely book her again.

Kerri is great! We have asked her to dog sit our pup multiple times now and she is always very responsive and reliable. Our pup is an older dog and requires a little more attention, but Kerri makes us feel at ease by updating us regularly on how she's doing. We trust that our pup is in good hands when we drop her off at Kerri's!

Kerri was so wonderful with our pup! She took her on fun adventures, kept her safe, and even gave her a shower afterwards. We would trust Kerri with our pup again!

Kerri was fantastic! She provided frequent updates of our pup that put us at ease. We could tell she wanted our pup to feel comfortable and safe with her. We would use Kerri again.
