About: I have 2 dogs of my own and foster puppies and adult dogs as well. We also have chickens. I love animals of all types and understand how difficult it can be to find someone you trust with their care. I am a Registered Nurse and caring for animals comes as natural to me as caring for people. Caring for your pets gives me the flexibility to spend time with them but also be available as a mom. My daughter loves animals and is very helpful and loving. I have a flexible work schedule and work from home. I am able to interact while working and provide frequent potty breaks and extra attention as needed. I do feed separately to avoid food aggression issues which can sometimes happen in new environments. I have 2 dogs of my own and a large fenced in yard. There is plenty of space to run and play and also lounge and nap! We’d love to know what your dog's typical routine is at home as well as any behaviors (food/toy aggression) or quirks we should be aware of. I will do my best to accommodate any special needs. Please let us know if they are on any medications or have any health issues. I DO NOT accept dogs that are aggressive, excessive barkers, non-house trained, destructive, or have severe separation anxiety. All dogs who stay in our home must be well socialized, healthy (i.e. not sick with any contagious diseases that could be passed onto humans or other dogs) and up to date on their vaccines and flea/tick preventatives. Required vaccinations: Rabies Distemper Bordetella (kennel cough)
About: I've cared for all kinds of dogs from Malteses to Saint Bernards as well as cats. I've worked with up to four dogs at a time and 7 cats at a time. I've been dog-sitting since I was 13 years old. Specific dogs I've worked with are the Maltese, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, Bulldog, Pit-bull, Terrier, Wheaten, mix, Golden Retriever, etc. I'm excited to work farther with a variety of dogs and cats I look forward in speaking with you. I'm currently working part time so I will have plenty of time to play with your fur baby. I am available for boarding on weekends and visits during the morning and afternoon/night. I currently have a 2 year old Australian shepherd who absolutely adores other animals. I have worked with Shih Tzus , poodles , American bull dogs , Great Danes and Rottweilers I am currently a stay at home mom so your pets will never be left unattended! Because of that, caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I’ve spent many years helping take care of pets at home and for family and friends. I currently have a cat named Floyd, who I recently adopted. He is very affectionate, loving, gentle, and gets along very well with other animals. I currently work from home full-time during the weekdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability Monday through Friday. Being home throughout the day allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, companionship, and supervision. Dogs get access to potty breaks instantly, and get the mental enrichment they need. They are extremely welcoming, kind, and informative on how they care for your dog. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.
