About: I've taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets from a very young age and always felt a strong bond with animals of all types. My participation in behavioral training with my dog has made me well equipped to handle a variety of situations in other dogs, as well! I am trained on administration of certain medications. I work part time and am applying to medical school at this time. I stay home most days and like to walk my dog on some nearby trails when the weather is nice. Frequent potty breaks. Lots of areas to walk in a quiet neighborhood and on nearby trails. Experience with behavioral issues in dogs so light training and positive reinforcement mechanisms will be practiced!

About: I've been taking care of pets for over 40 years! I started with a bunny and then a golden retriever puppy who grew fast and was full of energy (I'd occasionally be called to the office in elementary school when he'd break loose to get him from outside and take him home! lol)! As a mom, I helped my children learn to care for various pets - my favorite being chickens. I look forward to using my lifelong love for animals and experience in caring for them to help others when they aren't able to care for their own!! My schedule is not set, so I'm very flexible! After working in the financial industry for years and then working in education, I've been a GIG worker for quite a few years now, so have learned to juggle various things. In NC, I have a fenced yard, and in FL stay in an apartment. I will take great care of any pets I get the pleasure of spending time with!

“I had to leave my dog for a long day this weekend and I’m so grateful this worked out. They were great at knowing how to be mindful of introducing my dog to the new space and to their pups, they were great with communication and my dog was well taken care of and happy, so I’m happy! Thanks! ???”

“Heather was an amazing host for my puppy, Odin! She sent me pictures throughout the day and got him out for a nice, long walk. My initially hesitant boy even took a minute to notice me when I picked him up, because he had obviously become so comfortable under Heather’s care. Can’t recommend enough!”

About: I have taken care of my family's pets for 26 years. I just recently lost my dog and am looking to meet new furry friends and help families in need of pet-setting. I have taken care of many neighbors, friends and families' pets, but would love to spend much more time getting to know your beloved pets. I just retired as a Physical Education teacher and coach after 44 years of service to young people, therefore I am ready to dog walk, pet sit and board your furry family pets. I am home every day and have a lot of free time to spend with your pets! I love to spend time outdoors, so your pet would be extremely happy when the weather is nice. I live in a two story home in a very pet friendly neighborhood. The streets are not busy, making dog-walking very safe and easy. I have almost two acres of land...perfect for running around and playing! I look forward to being with your furry friends full time! I retired as a teacher/coach for 44 years and my husband works from home M-F. We are available to give your pups plenty of attention. I treat every clients pet as if they are my own. I give plenty of belly rubs, let them sit with me on furniture and I have a guest suite with a lower bed that I sleep with pets if they wish. They have run of my home. If a parent wants them to sleep in a bed or crate, I honor that as well. We love having pets since we lost our family pet.

About: With over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for pets, I bring both heartfelt dedication and professional expertise to every furry friend I meet. My journey began with my first puppy, who I lovingly walked daily, bathed with care, and shared my home and heart with. This deep bond inspired me to pursue a degree in Animal Science at UC Davis, where I specialized in companion animals and gained comprehensive knowledge of pet health, behavior, and care. Throughout my undergraduate years, I volunteered and interned at numerous shelters and clinics, where I assisted with surgery prep and recovery, microchipping, post-op care, feeding, and cleaning. These experiences sharpened my ability to recognize early signs of illness and deliver calm, capable care—even in medical situations. At home, I care for two adopted cats who were originally rescued from a shelter. I’ve provided them with a safe, loving environment ever since they first arrived as house-sitting guests. Whether it’s walking dogs, managing senior or special-needs pets, or offering overnight stays, I treat every animal as if they were my own—with patience, attention, and genuine love. My current schedule is very flexible, which allows me to give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. I can easily accommodate daily walks, feedings, drop-ins, overnight stays, and last-minute bookings. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities—whether I’m doing drop-in visits, day care, or boarding in my home. I provide a clean, pet-friendly environment and always follow your pet’s routine to keep them happy and stress-free. With my animal science background and clinical experience, I’m confident in handling medications, special needs, and spotting early signs of illness. I treat every pet like family and always keep you updated with messages and photos.

About: Hi! My name is Merrily, and I am a student at UNC! I have been an animal lover my whole life, growing up with two dogs and a cat! My dogs were a sweet boxer and a lively pug, so I have experience with both big and small dogs! I especially loved to take my boxer on long walks and runs, and cuddled and played with my pug. From taking care of my dogs throughout teenage hood, I gained valuable experience with senior care, administering oral and topical medication daily, dental care, bathes, and basic grooming. I also have dog and cat sat for family friends and neighbors numerous times, with duties ranging from senior care with a lab dog, to taking care (and easing) an anxious corgi. My favorite aspect of pet-setting is of course snuggles! I want to provide affection and comfort just as pets provide me with affection and comfort! I also thoroughly enjoy playtime and walks!🩷🐾 I am a full-time college student at UNC with much free time over summer break! I live in the heart of Chapel Hill and have a car, allowing for flexible and punctual care. I make sure to not only keep up with pets but with the client's home too. When caring for your furry friend and home, fulfilling your needs is my main goal!

“Cricket loved coming to Danielle's house. She made sure he was comfortable, stayed cool during a heat wave, and she sent cute updates. Communication before and during the booking was stellar. Will definitely ask her to look after Cricket again!”

“Nicole is the BEST PET CARER that we have ever had. She is terrifically responsible, competent, reliable, kind and a real joy to know. She also took amazing photos of our beloved furry creature; so much so that she could also be a professional photographer. I can't say enough about this lovely young woman. Your clients will be assured that their pets will be cared for better than they could hope for. Best regards, Mary”

Alice T.
“I’ve known Alice for many years, and I can confidently say she’s one of the most caring and responsible people I’ve ever met—especially when it comes to animals. Her passion for pet care runs deep, and it shows in everything she does. Alice has personally taken care of my pets multiple times, and I’ve always been impressed by her attention to detail, patience, and genuine love for animals. She goes above and beyond to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Her background in animal science and hands-on experience at shelters and clinics make her not just a loving sitter, but a highly knowledgeable and professional one, too. I’ve seen firsthand how well she handles pets of all kinds, including those with medical needs or anxious temperaments. She’s also raised her own pets with incredible care—her two adopted cats are healthy, confident, and clearly thriving under her watch. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and experienced to care for your pet, Alice is the one. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone.”

Merrily T.
“My dog can get frisky at times around strangers, but Merrily was able to handle her quite well! One of the few people who actually knew how to ease her and actually get her full walk in without wanting to turn back home.”
