“Kelly is amazing! So many thank yous for taking care of my doggo! You’ve been a huge help in keeping him happy and healthy. About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life. My mom is a biologist so she taught me from a very young age how every living thing has a soul and a place in this world. She would pick up mice and spiders that got into our home with her hands and take them outside (instead of killing them). Needless to say, I am very comfortable around animals. I’ve had dogs and cats as pets my whole life and I consider myself pretty good with them, even when meeting stray cats or other people’s dogs in the street; I am very patient with them and always let them feel confident with me before I pet them. I have never house-sat for dogs before but I have taken care of roommate’s and friend’s dogs while they are at work or out of town, feeding them, and taking them for walks, etc. I have house-sat for my mom’s cat before (at the end of 2021, actually, for her birthday) which you can read about in my testimonials. Full-disclosure – I’m currently looking for a part-time job so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I have a car so I can drive over to you, just let me know what your daily and weekly needs are so we can figure out a schedule :) I’m currently not allowed to have any fur babies at my apartment so I will give your pups all the attention and play-time they want. Like I said above, I’ll let them get comfortable with me at their own pace but, of course, take care of their basic needs like food, water, and walks. Just let me know how they do with other dogs on the street and with other humans – if they’re shy, really energetic, etc.

“This was our first time using Rover, and Hannah went above and beyond. Our foster dog, Jet, gets very nervous when strangers enter our home, but Hannah was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. She even took the initiative to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand, meeting us outside our building to get to know Jet, understand his behavior, and familiarize herself with our neighborhood and building access. We felt completely at ease leaving Jet in her care, and she’ll be our first choice moving forward.”

About: Howdy! I’ve been caring for various neighbors’ pets since I was a pre-teen. Absolutely adore dogs and their unique ability to connect with humans. I used to sit for various dogs in Los Angeles but now live in New Orleans as a librarian. Looking to walk dogs in spare time or pet sit as applicable! Let’s connect! :) I work full time Monday-Thursday and alternate between having Fridays and Saturdays off. Usually off by 5pm when working. Always have Sundays off. Schedule is flexible. Pet-free apartment nearby parks and good dog-walking residential neighborhoods. Love walking and ensuring the dog has enough outdoor time and opportunities to use the bathroom.

“Migle is awesome!! Huck immediately loved her from their first meeting. Sent photos of huck before, during, and after the walk which was very much appreciated. Will be booking again!”

About: I’ve always been an advocate for all animals in receiving love and care when needed. I feel like there’s a synergic effect with pets. Not only are we helping them but they’re helping us have a better day. My favorite thing to do with pets is staying active such as walks or to just play with them. I am able to fit per care in the afternoons or early in the morning. I work remotely so I am able to be free between consults to have some time to hang out with some pets. I have my roommates cat with me napping all day during my consults :) I would be making sure the per is receiving enough nutritional intake the owner suggests and helping them feel comfortable with paying attention to them and offering the best pets and rubs they deserve. I love to just be there for them when needed.

“We love and trust her as does our golden. She is reliable and punctual. We ask for her help at least once a week- twice a day, and she feeds our pup, takes her on a walk, plays with her, and loves on her. Lindsay is the equivalent of having either my spouse or myself home- what more could you ask for….”

“Natalie is the best! She is so reliable and always comes through for us, often at the last minute! She is comfortable walking our nervous 180 lb. Great Dane which is not easy!! :) Thank you, Natalie!”

About: I have been around cats and dogs my whole life. Ive self trained all of my dogs but have always received praise on how well behaved they are. My method is to meet a bit of repetitive discipline with a lot of love. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10 years old when my mom would drop me off at family members houses to walk, feed, and "tire the dogs" out. (and also probably me) For now, I’d like to get my feet wet with pet walking and drop ins. I think this gives me a good chance to let your pet get to know me as an ally and eventually a best friend. I’m in the process of moving but in the Long term, I’d like to pet sit at my home. My schedule is currently flexible with the amount of dog walks vs. drop ins I can do per day. I love giving kisses!! Belly rubs come in close second to my mission of finding the favorite scratch spot! I’ll gladly spend a little extra time letting your fur baby know that they are loved after a walk and give treats if allowed. I have a pretty big car with dog covers on my seats so if your pup doesn’t mind rides, I’m game for it! It's really whatever your pet is most comfortable with. I am very familiar with dog parks and there is one on my property. For those pups not familiar or comfortable with a social setting, I like to take park and neighborhood walks as well.

About: I grew up in a house, and with a mother, who always had a furry friend running around. I enjoyed this so much that I started a pet sitting company when I was 10. I cared for all types of animals (dogs, cats, and rabbits). Although my 10 year old company did not continue until today, my love for animals does. I’ve fostered and watched animals and am hoping to continue to work with whatever pets and furry friends you have in your home. As a middle school teacher, the summer break strongly contrasts the school year. During the summer I am free at almost all hours of the day and am more than willing to work with you at a convenient time for both you and your pet. I am comfortable walking and crating your pet. I’m also happy to take your pet out whether it’s in the yard or along the streets and sidewalks nearby. I also have a car and am happy to take any dogs to the dog park (as long as they don’t mind a car ride).

Dixon dog parents share their Rover experiences
Margarida was great with Freddie. She replied very quickly my last minute request, it was easy to communicate with, and her report card was very sweet and had 12 photos of their walk which is always so nice to see while I’m away form my dog. Thank you Margarida!

Leora was so wonderful with Jess, who can be high energy and is generally extra excited to explore the world outside. Leora took her time to say hello for as long as Jess needed and it seemed like they had the most wonderful time together. Will definitely book again! Thank you!

First time having Cody as my pet sitter/walker and I'm so pleased with the level of attentive care and service! Cody was recommended to me by a friend with multiple pets as well for my 4 day trip out of town, and came to my house twice a day to care for my dogs during a very busy jazz festive time. Despite my dogs being very nervous and chaotic in the beginning, Cody was patient and gentle, not to mention very communicative the entire time, and my babies finally calmed down and loved their daily visits and walks. 10/10, 5 stars and will be booking with Cody in the future! Thank you!
