“Hi Rebecca, and thanks for the pic collages, I knew the kids were smitten with you immediately:). They are quite a pair for sure and you obviously spoiled them! You certainly made it easy and possible for us to concentrate on our family matters and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again, Rebecca, for doing such a great job!”

“I would highly recommend Michelle. Michelle took care of both of my dogs over the weekend, and she did an excellent job. They were happy and well cared for when I returned.”

About: We have been sitters on Rover for over three years off and on now. We love this platform! It is a wonderful way for us to have the exposure to dogs that we crave. Kimberly- Growing up my family almost always had a dog. I know that dogs are so important to every owner and may times they are like their own kids. I want each dog we watch to feel loved and cared for. It’s so hard to be separated from your beloved pooch but my hope is that when we sit your pup you feel at peace by our pictures and updates and your dog feels at home by our care. Kimmy- I am a stay at home mom with a 4 yr old who is craaaazy about dogs. We also have a one-year-old, who is all about the furry entertainment. Most days we are around and free. It is such a treat for us to have a furry friend around us to fill our days with some fun and love. My husband, Jagger also works from home and enjoys to have dogs around as well! We have a fenced yard. We can only have kid friendly dogs stay with us as our 4 year old and one year old will be playing with them. Our fence is not a 6 foot tall fence so if your dog has a tendency to jump fences shorter than that, we will not be able to host them.
About: I have a gentle and loving spirit. I accept all animals into my world. The more the better! I have a lot of love to give. I work part time so I have plenty of extra time to spend with all the pets. I love being outside and going for walks and spending time with animals as much as I can. Whenever I'm with any pets, they have my full attention and care. I'm happy to sit with pets as long as needed and give them the love and care.
“Caleb did a great job with our 3 dogs we had one that needed meds twice a day and he did great. I would recommend him to sit your fur babies he stayed at our home and left it clean.”

About: Hi, I'm Haley and I have over 10 years of experience as a veterinary technician. I have had the pleasure of working with a range of animals including cats and dogs. I am skilled in medication administration as well as animal behavior and handling. It would be a pleasure to be part of your pets care team. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for walks, drop in visits and overnight stays. I look forward to working with your pet(s)! I will work with you to provide excellent care for your pet within your own home. I am willing to take dogs in my home as long as they get along well with my own dogs and cat. I am unable to watch cats within my home at this time.
About: I love dogs and cats and I've been caring for them since I was a teenager. I currently have three dogs and two cats that I deeply cherish. They're not pets, they're family. I have five years of experience volunteering at pet shelters where I've fed, exercised, bathed, trained, and cuddled hundreds of cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. I'm a retired IT guy and pet-sitting is my full-time gig, now. I've chosen paws and whiskers over 1's and O's. It was a no-brainer because, the older I get, the more i connect with pets and enjoy the finer nuances of their personalities. I'm available for pet-sitting, dog-walking or house-sitting weekdays and most weekends. I will be happy to sit with your pets at your home or watch over your home while you're away. I'll feed them, walk them, brush them, play with them, or just hang-out and keep them company. We'll do a meet and greet before your first booking to introduce me to your pets, facilities, food, etc,...
About: I'm a stay at home mom of 6 kids and have many pets. I have had dogs and other pets all of my life. I have obedience training knowledge, and have trained all of my dogs. I'm a stay at home mom, so I'm able to provide quality attention. Dogs are let outside every hour (shorter times when weather is hot). I live in a friendly neighborhood to go on nice walks. I have a decent sized yard with an 8 foot tall fence. Thank you for your time and hope to meet soon! *other animal care too* I take care of animals all day every day. My schedule is mostly open, other than kids' activities. Summer schedule is different than when school is in session. I have a large yard with secure fencing. Also can crate your furry friend at night if necessary. I want to treat them like you do in your own home.
“Adrian was so amazing with our two pups! Our sweet babies can get very anxious but he kept them so calm and happy while we were away. He sends THE BEST pictures of your babies to update you. We will definitely be booking with him again.”

About: I’ve grown up on a farm & helped raise dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, cows, ducks, & hamsters! I have a love for all animals :) I am a law student, so when I’m not in class, I can drop in to care for your pet! I’m also available anytime on weekends! I have a fenced yard for your fur baby to play in. I also have a male (neutered) dog who just turned two. He’s very friendly and trained! I have a large crate if your pet needs to be crated for any reason, otherwise they are welcome to snuggle on my couch or bed with me!!
“Super smooth house sitting experience! My home was in perfect condition when I returned, and most importantly, my fur babies were happy, healthy, and well cared for. There wasn’t a lot of communication throughout the stay, but I was completely fine with that since I was in a no-network zone myself. I chose Tom because he has a hobby ranch and is experienced with animals. During our meet-and-greet, I felt confident that his calm, collected nature made him the right person to care for my pets—and I was absolutely right. Thank you Tom. Hope you had a wonderful stay”

“Teyler is amazing! So glad we found him. Great communication, my pup loves him. He has knowledge and skill when it comes to training and patience like I’ve never seen. Great find on Rover and will 100% use again”

About: I have dogsat for around 3 years now both small dogs like mine and big australian shepards. I care for children as well. 💗 💗 I attend class 10-2 pm. So that gives me plenty of time for morning restroom breaks & check-ins, and im free afterwards (unless im babysitting) I would make sure to not disturb their peace but also make them feel love and give them all the necessary attention they may need.
“Amy was fantastic with our pups. When we got home we could tell they were well cared for and the house was clean too! She stayed with them the whole time and kept them on their regular routine. This set our mind at ease since our last three sitters we chose were barely with our pups and had them in their crates for 12-14 hours at a time every day we were gone. Amy is a Godsend and we hope she is available anytime we need to leave town moving forward!”

About: Hi, I’m Krista! Dogs have been the center of my life for more than 15 years. My experience goes far beyond pet sitting—I’ve worked extensively with rescue dogs, including those who have experienced neglect, fear, medical challenges, and behavioral issues. Helping dogs decompress, build trust, and feel safe is something I’m truly passionate about. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or just enjoys a quiet place to relax, I tailor my care to their individual personality and routine. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to earn their trust while making sure they feel loved, comfortable, and secure. I treat every dog as if they were my own. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates, clear communication, and the peace of mind that your pet is receiving one-on-one attention—not just being supervised. My goal is simple: I want your dog to be excited to come back. Whether you need overnight boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, or walks, you can count on dependable, compassionate care from someone with years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for animals. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! Caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. My schedule is built around feeding, exercising, cleaning up after, and spending quality time with pets. Because I have years of experience with rescue animals, I’m accustomed to maintaining consistent routines and adapting to each pet’s individual needs. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, evening playtime, or overnight care, I intentionally plan my days to ensure every pet receives the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. I only accept the number of pets I can comfortably give personalized care, so your pet will never feel like just another booking. I offer flexible care based on what works best for you and your pet. In your home, I do my best to maintain your pet’s normal routine by following feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and plenty of companionship while also treating your home with the utmost respect. For pets staying in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable, low-stress environment where they receive personalized attention, regular exercise, and lots of affection. I intentionally keep my bookings limited so every pet gets the individual care they deserve, whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in the comfort of their own home.
“I would recommend Louann to anyone looking for a responsible, kind and caring pet sitter. I knew our pets were in great hands while we were away. Louann did a wonderful job keeping us informed but also letting us enjoy our time away. She tried several things to keep our dog eating while we were away, which was much appreciated. We'll be using Louann again in the future. It's such a relief to find someone we can count on when we need to go out of town. ”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Denison
This is Rebecca’s second time to watch the dogs for a week. She is great at sending daily photos and notifying if something seems off. She left the house just like it was when she came to stay. She had to keep two girls separate this stay due to heat cycles, hormones and fighting. I breed Shih Tzu’s, so I try to work around heat cycles and puppies to be there with them. But, this time it didn’t work out. She is always respectful of my place and seems to care about my babies as they were her own. I would definitely recommend her! And will be booking her again soon.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Denison walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Denison maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denison choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Denison. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
