About: I am a licensed professional counselor. I have one golden, Charlie. I’ve had many dogs over the years so my experience is varied. I take Charlie on daily runs and am fit and ready to give your dog some exercise!! I currently work in Montrose Monday-Friday during the day with weekends off. I am happy to talk more specific schedule questions individually if need be 🙂 I make sure they are comfy and cozy!! I have a child and a dog, so our home is always child/dog proofed! I take directions and care seriously, so I’ll only agree if I’m able to carry out the mission!
About: I’ve been taking care of my dogs for over 20 years and now in addition to the family cat and snakes. We are ready to host your dog for a fun visit. As a stay-at-home dad I’m around the majority of the day to keep a good eye on your loved ones. They will be well catered for and loved until you come back to get them! I have a big fenced backyard for them run around and play in. We have a friendly dog (& cat) to keep them extra company during their stay.

About: I own a small dog, his name is Kyo he is almost 3 I've had him his whole life. He loves walks and playing. I work well with smaller dogs when it comes to walking them. I am a student during the week (mornings) and have a bunch of free time to love and walk dogs. I am available anytime any day, day or night I have an open schedule. I can't wait to interact with more dogs, I love animals so much. I grew up with animals and my aunt has 6 dogs and playing with the puppies when they were born was amazing. I love all kinds of dogs young or old and small or big. I can't wait to meet your furry friends.
“We had a wonderful experience leaving our super anxious poodle mix with Betty! She was so patient and took great care of our pets and home. We look forward to booking her again :)”

About: I have had my own dogs and cats ever since I was a kid. I have taken care of both family and friends pets. I usually make a good impression on pets:) I don’t have a job right now because I wanted to take some time off before college, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pets! I have two cats of my own, and I have had dogs before so I know how to take care of them:) I have an old dog crate and a piece of my backyard is fenced, it was for my old dog that passed away. I know lots about cats and dogs for the most part. I can provide your pets w/ excellent care.
“It was such a pleasure to work with Karen! She is professional, reliable, kept me updated, and responded quickly to all my texts (I really miss my dog when I’m gone). She left my home in perfect condition. I look forward to having her stay in my home again soon.”

“Hayley was super-attentive and it was always very obvious that she loves taking care of the kitties and chickens. I would definitely recommend her and would ask her for her services again in the future.”

About: My wife and I both pet sit for various different families in our surrounding area. We also have three fur babies of our own and are looking to expand our customer base. We are able to integrate our pet sitting into our everyday schedule. We are available through weekends and holidays with advance notice. Get in touch and we can surely make it work. We care for our pets with daily walks and playtime. We ensure that all their diet and medical needs are met daily. We also make ourselves available overnight if necessary. Anxious pets require more attention and we are open to more involved sittings.

About: I come from a dog loving family with lots of experience in caring for all dogs especially those with high needs/ requirements. I have also fostered many cats and have been described by friends and family as deeply compassionate. I am currently available full time for pet care needs including overnight sitting as needed. I have a very flexible schedule allowing me to be in client’s homes as frequently as needed. I am also available most weekends. As an organized person I am very attentive to closing doors, following routines, and closely monitoring animals when visiting in others’ homes. I have a background in early childcare which helps me be aware of my surroundings and what to look for to ensure the safety of those in my care.
“Andi was amazing! Took such good care of our two pups and our home. Kept in touch with us and sent pics and even called to make sure it was OK to give one a benadryl when she was stung by a bee. We will definitely use Andi in the future!”

About: As a career animal welfare professional, I'm ready to bring my decades of experience in animal care, veterinary care and animal handling to you and your home to ensure you have total peace of mind and your pets are cared for and safe while you're away. My entire professional career has been in the animal welfare field. I've worked as a cruelty investigator in both major metropolitan as well as rural agricultural regions. I've worked on farm animal sanctuaries as well as in city shelters. I'm still very involved in animal rescue through disaster response as well as large scale animal cruelty case deployments. Currently, I work for/co-founded an organization which provides low-cost veterinary care services to underserved areas in the region. As someone who utilizes Rover heavily for pet sitting services while traveling for work, I know just how important it is to have a service like this available as well as what a trusting, reliable sitter can do for peace of mind while out of town and away from you pets. I currently work from home (when not traveling for work) which allows me to devote full days to pet care while sitting nearby in my home office. I have a large, fully fenced yard. Your dogs will be able to spend as much, or as little, time outside as they desire. I have two resident dogs who are very welcoming of all four-legged (and two-legged) visitors and will be more than happy to share all their favorite toys and most comfortable spots on the couch.
About: I currently own a 5 year old Rottweiler, and an 8 month old Cane Corso puppy. Before them, growing up I never wanted kids just wanted a petting zoo of fur babies. Unfortunately due to not having a big enough house, my zoo is on hold. But in the meantime, I get to enjoy other puppies and watch them anytime at my convenience. I’m good with watching any dog big or small! Currently I work full time at a hospital 3 days a week. Any other time I’m free! I work 12 hours a day. I have a schedule in about 3 months in advance, so I’m okay to book to your schedule and work something out. When watching other fur babies, I like to ask owners their day to day schedule. That includes what time they wake up, what time they like to be walked at and what time they normally have the zoomies to play. Their daily schedule shouldn’t change only because their owner is gone on vacation.

“Kaya was an amazing dog sitter and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She took such great care of our dog and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Kaya genuinely cares about animals and made sure our dog felt comfortable, happy, and loved. She was reliable, kind, and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely trust her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitter!”

About: I’m a 6’4” 200lbs+ man so I’m great with all sizes of dogs including huge. I’m a jogger so if your dogs like to run also we’ll be a great match. I love all animals and I’ve had many pets over the years. I’ve had everything from hamsters to fish tanks. Cats, dogs, bunnies, snakes and even goats. I’m experienced with old dogs and puppies and am happy to walk or take care of either. I currently am working part time at my own discretion so I have an open schedule basically. It changes week to week but it’s flexible and I would be available any point in the day on week days and on weekends. I live in a very quit rural neighborhood with amazing beach and woods walks. I don’t have any pets personally at the moment and I don’t a fenced yard. I was originally thinking I would just walk dogs and do drop in visits but if you’re in a bind I can dog sit here. My aunt visits me regularly and she always brings her dog here. They both absolutely love here too. It’s safe and beautiful here but ideally I would rather not board dogs here.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10, I have watched all sorts of dogs, from family to friends to coworkers, and neighbors even:) I’m currently working for a second job but I always make sure that my animal care come first, I try to reason with my clients if change happens. I always try to make sure my dogs and cats stay occupied with toys and treats and walks making sure that they are always fed 2 time a day
“Stacy was exceptional- I’m so very grateful for her wonderful care of my dog! She is an excellent communicator and gives regular updates, and took fantastic care of Buckley!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Delta on Rover is $62.16 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 49 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Delta. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Delta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Delta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Delta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
