“My baby Makana had a great time at JJ’s house.. Though we didn’t see the host’s interior of the house where the pets are, the pictures she had sent looked clean and safe.. It’s Makana’s first time to socialize with 2 dogs since she turned 2 yrs old due to some health issues when she’s a pup. We thought it’s time for her to explore and find out if she is well adjusted now that she’s an adult.She is as expected to be a little shy but was able to adapt and became comfortable. She is tired and pretty happy bec she had a play date with Zuri ( the host’s furbaby) and another furbaby. I’m glad that JJ has been sending pic and videos of our baby’s socialization activities and so nice of their son to play with the FBabies.. Thank you and will definitely recommend her services.”

About: I have always had dogs growing up and frequently took charge of their needs as their primary caregiver, scheduling vet visits, feeding, bathing, & walking our dogs. I started working as a dog bather in January 2022 and even though (as of a few months ago) I have since transitioned careers I still miss working with dogs (also cats and rabbits) and interacting with them on a daily basis. I am a proven gentle handler with a knack for big and small dogs as well as cats and rabbits. I was formally a dog bather but I frequently assisted the groomers in handling the other animals like cats, rabbits, and Guinea pigs during shave downs and haircuts. I have learned so much about handling and husbandry from experienced groomers who supervised me in the salon and almost became a groomer myself. I love animals and I love working with them. I was known to be the bather that took on the large and difficult dogs due to my ability to handle them tenderly and with immense patience. Some of the favorite animals I miss from work are Charlotte and Maggie, the two Rottweilers who were so bad that the groomer used the be the only one who could do them and only with the muzzle on. I was able to not only fully bathe and dry them with a double motor blow dryer, but I was also able to eventually transition them off the muzzle with kind words and encouragement to the sweet girls. I also greatly miss the darling puppy Karlotta who I bathed every time she had come in since her very first bath. She was very nervous at first but soon started walking in like she owned the place. That is the main reason I want to work with animals again, to be able to say that I helped a dog or animal in some way without having to use aggression, dominance, or force. Currently, I am working a full-time job, from 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday. If the animal is in my home for boarding or day care I can provide walks on my breaks and lunch since I work from home. I have a 5 year old Siberian Husky in my home who is in crate trained and who loves other dogs. The introductions between pets would be slow with safety being the paramount factor. She would be in the crate in the living room when unsupervised and the pet would stay in my room if a client needed me to provide care for them in my home. I have a force-free handling philosophy.

It sounds like it took a day for him to warm up to Susan and the other dogs, since he can sometimes be fearful, but the next day he was running up the driveway, excited to return. He'd come home so tired from playing with the other dogs. Susan seems to have a few dogs there every day, which ended up being great socialization for Thor. She has a big backyard for them to play in, and a patio area inside for them to spend time when it's too hot out. She treated Thor well, and we look forward to having him stay with her again soon.”
