“Christen was great! She checked in on my cat Christopher several times while I was out of town. Each time, she made sure his litter, food, and water were in good order, took several pictures, and provided a nice write up. Chris is normally fairly shy, but he seemed to warm up to her pretty quickly. Christen was also great at communicating—she always gave me a heads when needed. I'd definitely recommend her!”

“Dakota is phenomenal, he cared for our babies like they were his own, especially our kitten who's 12 weeks. We couldn't be more thankful for him, we will definitely be booking with him again!”

About: I have had 2 dogs during my life, but they are my world. No matter the age, size, or breed of dog, I have had 6+ years of experience in caring, bathing, and long-term sitting. Our furry friends deserve the best care they can get. Most days I’m completely open, but if you need a sitter on days I work, no biggy! I only work a few hours a day, so I am still available to watch, walk, drop in, and bathe your pups, as long as we’re both flexible! For long-term sitting, I am wide open, including weekends. Times to check in and care for your animals during those times can be discussed to figure out what would work best for both you and myself, along with whether or not you want me to stay overnight with them. If you are wanting to include a dog bath with any of my services, just let me know and we will discuss things like products, timing, and other details that I will need to know before providing one. After all is said and done, I will make the note on your booking and all will be good! I live on base so I am not able to bring your pets to my house, but I am more than happy to tend to your animals at yours. I have been actively caring for other people's pets in their homes for 5+ years now. Every concern, idea, and notice of yours will be taken into account and followed when I am in your home.
“Tara did a great job watching my Belgian Malinois (Hayduke) while I was out of town. Tara provided pictures from every visit and was very good at communicating and providing updates. I could tell by her questions and the way she interacted with Hayduke that she really cares about animals and treated him as one of her own. Malinois can be a tricky breed to handle, but Tara had no problems at all. I highly recommend Tara to anyone that needs a pet sitter; your pet will be in good hands!”

My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that gives you complete peace of mind while you're away. I believe every pet deserves care that's tailored to their unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, extra cuddles, or simply having someone nearby for companionship, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout every visit or stay. One of the things I value most is communication. You'll never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I provide thoughtful updates and plenty of photos throughout every booking so you can relax knowing they're happy, safe, and in good hands. **House Sitting Expectations** My house sitting service is designed to provide your pets with loving, attentive care while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. To continue caring for my regular Rover clients, there may be times during the day when I'm away from the home for a few hours to complete scheduled drop-in visits, walks, attend class, or take care of other commitments. Outside of those times, your pets will receive plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, companionship, and personalized care. If your pet requires constant, around the clock supervision or cannot comfortably be left alone for several hours, please let me know before booking so we can discuss whether I'm the right fit. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, puppies, senior pets, and multi-pet households, and I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family! I'm a student with a flexible schedule and keep my Rover calendar updated to reflect my availability. I'm available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits throughout the week. I plan my schedule carefully so I can provide dependable, consistent care for every client. If I ever anticipate a scheduling conflict or change, I'll always communicate it with you as soon as possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. Before every booking, I take the time to learn your pet's routine, personality, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide care that's tailored to their individual needs. Whether it's sticking to a feeding schedule, administering routine medications, following favorite walking routes, or keeping up with bedtime routines, I believe the little details matter. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and secure as possible while you're away.

About: Growing up on land in Oklahoma, I've had experience with at least 30 dogs.... raising and caring for canines of all ages, breeds, and sizes; from a Chunky Chow-Chow, to a chattery Chihuahua... I understand dogs (and cats) very well. Whether it's 10 days, 10 months, or 10 years... Let's keep our pets happy while the'yre here! Over the summer my availability is generally pretty open. You can reach out the same day, but of course earlier is better. If you are in a situation where you need your pet walked, or cared for while you are away and it came about at the last minute, I can probably help you out. I learn the dog or cat I'm working with. Each pet is different even within the same breed. For dogs the day looks like a walk, some play, rubs, and their food and water if needed. For cats the day looks like butt scratches (when allowed), something stimulating, food, water, and peace 😽

About: I have personally trained all of my Dalmatians over the years, and one of them is a fully trained service dog. I am highly comfortable working with dogs at all training levels, from high-energy puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience and specialized care. Specialized Experience Rescue Volunteer & Foster: Experienced working with dogs from abusive backgrounds. I understand how to manage, support, and build trust with fearful or reactive dogs. On-Site Storm Shelter: For peace of mind during severe weather, I have an on-site storm shelter. If there is a tornado warning, your dog will be brought directly into the shelter with me. Bookings & Multi-Dog Families My profile shows a 2-dog limit to keep the environment calm, but I am very flexible with mid-week handovers. For example, I am happy to have your dogs drop off on a Tuesday even if a different guest isn't checking out until Wednesday or Thursday. If you have a multi-dog household or the calendar looks full for the specific days you need, please message me directly so we can coordinate the timing. I primarily work part time from home and will be able to give your pet all the attention they may need. I can do just daycare or over night if you need. Christen was amazing with our two dogs and was incredibly professional. She constantly communicated well with each drop-in visit and gave us total peace of mind while being away. We appreciated the report card for each pup, showing all activities for the day. Highly recommend Christen!

Once again, our pup had an amazing time with Samantha and we felt totally at ease! She is observant, kind, trustworthy, great with animals, and excellent at communication. We wouldn’t want to use anyone else! It’s hard to be away from your pet, but having them in Samantha’s care makes it 100x easier!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
