About: I’m confident handling leashes, following routines, and paying close attention to my surroundings to keep your dog safe. Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog with the same care, affection, and respect that I give my own pets, ensuring every walk is a fun and positive experience. Caring for animals is already part of my everyday life. As a pet owner myself, I’m used to planning my day around feeding, playtime, and making sure pets are happy and comfortable. I enjoy being active, so walks and drop-in visits fit naturally into my routine before or after work and on weekends. I genuinely love spending time with animals, so pet care is something I look forward to—not just another task on my schedule. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping them comfortable by sticking to their normal routine. I’ll follow all care instructions closely, whether that’s feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or potty breaks, medication (if needed and discussed), or simply giving them companionship. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect I would my own and send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, ranging from large German shepherds to 5lb chihuahuas. I genuinely care for the well being of all animals! I have plenty of patience and a huge heart for animals. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible daily schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, with time for walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and lots of love throughout the day. I’m home most of the day, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of companionship while you’re away! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow their normal routines, pay close attention to their behavior, and make sure they have a safe and comfortable environment. I’m careful with doors, feeding, medications, and anything else specific to their care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was kid growing up me and my family had a lot of cats and dogs and reptiles and I loved it so when I got older i started working at a pet store called zoomania until it closed down but I want to continue this passion of working with animals I’m currently working from home so I’m available all the time especially on weekends I also no problem going to the owners house and watching your pet In my home I would give the animal a comfortable spot to sleep it or just to get comfortable I would have the food and water supplies ready and there’s enough room in the house where they can run around or we will go for walks it would all pretty much depend on what the owner wants for the dog

“Madison took great care of our pup. We needed someone to take Hallie for a walk and spend some time with her at the house during the day. She was careful with our directions and meeting Hallie's specific dietary needs and provided regular updates with photos. We highly recommend Madison!”

I have always had animals in my life wether it’s fostering or gaining a family member. I can make sure that the environment is clean and stress free for your fur baby. My experience with many different animals will aide me in getting to know you and your pet better to provide the best care. Book me today to help me gain a fur friend and take care of your animals. I am currently unemployed therefor, my schedule is fairly open. Please feel free to message me on availability as I may be sitting for more than one person. About: Hey! My name is Conan and Im a veterinary medicine student. I love working with animals of all types and sizes and I'd love to meet your friend! I have experience fostering and volunteering at animal shelters, including everything from dogs, cats, bottle-fed babies, elderly kitties, reptiles, ducks, chickens, special-needs dogs/cats, and birds. I have a few years of experience dog walking and I have house sat for people with all different pets & for varying amounts of time. I also have two cats (North age 8 & Marcel age 4) and a leopard gecko (Sandwich age 3) of my own! They are my best friends and whole world. I'm currently going to Vet school full time several days during the week, but I'm available Friday through Monday for bookings. When house sitting I can spend as much time as is needed in the home for walks, playtime, any cleanups, potty breaks, etc. But I do prefer to sleep in my own home because of my two cats who need me at night. However I am flexible and if your pet has a specific need or doesn't do well being alone certain times of day we can work to accomodate that. Your pet's safety is a non negotiable for me, it is so important to me that your pet feels comfortable with me no matter what we're doing. Establishing a bond with an animal can be the most rewarding experience in the world! When talking about safety with any pet, I take a precautious approach with anything that could become an 'oops!' or a 'hey you, get that out of your mouth!' moment. So I will always take precautions with anything being left out unmonitored like toys, food, anything chewable, stringy, or soft toys, etc. I never want to have to think twice about a preventable accident with your pet, so I always take the time to keep everyone safe. This goes especially for walks, your dog or cat's safety is always going to be at the front of my mind when interacting with any other furry friends nearby, as it is always better to be safe than sorry. Every pet needs a different relationship approach, and different play styles! There are some pets who just want to cuddle, ones who need specific play-styles to be interested, and others who need someone up to the task of frizbee-ing the Tasmanian Devil out of them! I know personally one of my cats only wants to lazily swat at one specific toy he keeps losing, and the other wants to run and leap around for 20 minutes straight. I am dedicated to learning what your pet really likes so they have a great time with me, and you can go to work, over a friends, or on vacation without a worry that they living their best life.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Deepwater. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
