“Meaghan and her family did such a great job with Kylo! He had the best day playing with the kids and their pets. It was so good to know he was having a blast and being taken care of while we were gone for a long day at the ball field!”

About: Hi! ❤️ My name is Natalie Ikner. I am 25 years old and am a full time college student with all of my work online & a stay at home mother. I am pretty much always at home so your pups would have someone around 24/7 during their visits! Since I am home full time I’ve decided to start offering my services on Rover to help my fiancé with the bills. Plus, I LOVE animals of all kinds!! So why not? Your pup will have ample play & potty time on account to me being here all hours of the day during their stay. I also offer drop ins. I’m excited to meet your pups!!! ❤️ My schedule is very open so I am always home. I do all of my college work online so I’m open schedule most of the time! I do not keep my dog in a crate, but I do hourly potty breaks (or more if needed for that specific animal) and I do allow my dog on my bed occasionally.
“Colleen was able to watch Sully for doggy daycare very last minute! When I picked up Sully he was very happy and acting himself. Colleen was a good communicator and sent me updates throughout the day. I felt great about Sully being cared for her!”

“Hope was great! She sent several updates during the day and made sure my dog was comfortable. She was also very flexible and was able to book us last minute. I’ll definitely be using her again!”

“Shume is the BEST. My girl Lulu took to her almost right away. Also, we had a change to her care plan on the fly, and was able to work with our schedule change! Would definitely send Lulu there again!”
“Auburn and her beautiful daughter took my baby, Mocha, on a last-minute request, and they were wonderful! Kind people, clean home, and I know they took care of my sweet pea🌸. Thank you, Rover, for having wonderful people like Auburn on your team! I will be back♥️ and thank you!!”

I am currently a stay at home mom so I am available any days of the week, and can work around any time you prefer! Pets will all have a clean and calm environment as I have no pets at my house and just one baby. They will take frequent potty breaks and walks. “It was our dogs’ first time to spend the day with Kira, and I do believe they had a great time! One fell asleep within minutes of leaving her house and the other could barely keep her eyes open on the ride home. Kira is so calm, sweet, and attentive with the dogs, and you can tell she truly has a heart for animals. I had no concerns leaving my pups with her. And her home is so clean and organized! How she does it, I don’t know! I am very much looking forward to my dogs spending more time with her in the near future.”

About: What truly sets me apart is my commitment to communication. I provide regular updates, photos, and detailed notes after each visit or walk, so you always feel connected to your pet. My background also includes volunteer work at a local animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience handling dogs with special needs and anxiety. You can count on me to treat your pet and home with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own. Reliability, compassion, and peace of mind—that’s what I bring to every visit. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine. I prioritize creating a consistent and safe environment for every pet in my care, whether that means early morning walks, timely feedings, or engaging play sessions throughout the day. I incorporate time each day to monitor health, behavior, and comfort, ensuring pets feel secure and loved while their owners are away. On a weekly basis, I plan for special outings, grooming (if needed), and ongoing communication with pet owners to provide updates and maintain trust. Caring for animals is more than a job—it’s a responsibility I take seriously, and I structure my schedule to reflect that commitment. I have a fenced in privacy fence back yard! As well as a temperature controlled garage if needed to separate! I have an extra crate if needed as well!
About: With years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, I offer more than just sitting — I provide personalized attention tailored to your pet’s unique needs. Whether it’s gentle care for seniors, extra patience and playtime for high-energy pups, or basic training for young dogs, I’ve got the skills and heart to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I treat every dog like family — because they are. 2 day minimum required. As a stay-at-home mom, I integrate pet care seamlessly into our daily and weekly routines. Each morning begins with feeding and checking on our pets, ensuring they have fresh water and a clean space. Throughout the day, I include walks, playtime, and interaction as part of our family activities—helping pets stay active and engaged. Grooming, cleaning litter boxes or cages, and maintaining their living areas are handled regularly, typically during nap times or quieter parts of the day. I also schedule weekly tasks such as bathing, or vet visits as needed. Caring for our pets is a natural part of our home life. As a stay-at-home mom, creating a safe, trustworthy, and nurturing environment is at the heart of my daily routine. I prioritize cleanliness, consistency, and attentiveness to ensure every member of the household—whether child, adult, or pet—feels secure and cared for. I understand how important it is to build trust through reliability and open communication, and I maintain a calm, structured environment that promotes comfort and peace of mind.
“Ben is one of the best dog sitters Lamby’s met! He was available last minute and even helped us with transport as we only had our RV and finding a pet friendly taxi in town was challenging. Lamb Chop almost wanted to stay with Ben he had such a good day, and he was perfectly tuckered out and content after a fun time.”

About: We have raised and take care of all three of our dogs! We also pet sit my sister’s Golden Retriever sometimes! This includes feeding, walking, playing, exercising, bathing, etc. We have crate and potty trained all three of our personal pets. Our dogs sleep with us at night and are allowed on our furniture. Any dog we keep is treated like our own! My husband and I both work full time jobs, but my husband Brandon is a school teacher so he is home all summer. Your dogs are rarely ever crated… only if we have an errand to run. Our typical weekend is spent at the dog park, in the drive thru at Dunkin’ for pup cups, and lounging on the couch! My husband is home during the summer, and we have a fenced in backyard, so the dogs are let out to play and potty multiple times during the day. We feed our dogs twice a day- once in the morning & once at night, but let us know if you have a different schedule and we will keep your dog on it! We have three dogs of our own that sleep with us at night and are allowed on our furniture. Blu is three and loves to play with new friends! Ellie is four and would prefer to lay on her bed and chew her bone! Any dog we keep is treated like our own!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
