About: Experienced with both large and small dogs, as well as senior dogs. My last dog was a husky, so I’m no stranger to dogs with high exercise needs as well! Looking forward to helping your family (both furry and otherwise!) this summer. General Availability: I currently work part time (and completely remotely!) Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I can be very flexible to meet your needs Thursday-Sunday, and am available for early morning and/or late evening walks/drop-ins Monday-Wednesday. I am comfortable spending the night in your home and will work from home for house-sitting requests. I am currently unable to care for pets in my own home, but am happy to feed, walk, play with, or just keep an eye on your pet in your home.

For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). About: Diagnosed with allergies in childhood, I didn’t have pets until in my 20s, when I picked a week-old kitten from a litter & raised him. Thelonious used to walk between my shoulders as I moved around the house, and slept in my bed. Friends told me he behaved more like a dog than a cat—very affectionate. We were very close. His death broke my heart & I still miss him. Seven years ago, I did cat-sitting for a friend whose apartment in NYC I stayed in for a summer while working nearby on Varick Street. He was a very easygoing cat. Years later, my stepson left his dogs at our house & I was their primary minder. I fed, walked & played with them every day. Although I’d been around dogs a lot growing up, it’s one thing to be around them & another to be responsible for them & develop relationships with them. Each of the dogs had a very distinct personality, and I found them fascinating. Through those & other experiences with friends’ pets, I’ve found that I’m able to make connections with animals that go beyond words. I never would have imagined such a thing in childhood. These days I do house sitting & drop-ins for clients in Monmouth, Mercer & Middlesex Counties. I’m tending to pets with a wide range of needs & dispositions, and love I give is more than equaled by the love I receive from them. I’m truly humbled & in awe. Professionally, I managed desktop publishing & automated publishing for a Fortune 500 financial firm for 20 years. So I have a long track record of responsibility & discipline. That combination of sensitivity & responsibility are what I bring to pet sitting. I only accept clients living within a 30-minute drive from my home, and my routines at home are easily adaptable to meet my clients’ needs. That means my highly flexible schedule allows me to provide your cat with the consistent time, routine, and attention they deserve while you are gone. I don’t rush my check-ins; I stay the full duration to ensure your pet gets plenty of physical play and mental stimulation. Because my hours are highly adaptable, I can drop in at the exact times your pet expects breakfast, dinner, or treats. I’m happy to take photos during my stay to enable you as the pet owner to feel secure about your pet’s care in your absence. I like to play with & talk to pets, and try to adhere to their normal routines, so they, too, feel comfortable in your absence.

About: I am reliable and on time, I have taken care of house animals to farm animals and love them all. If you are away for several hours or need a late night check in, I’m your guy. I currently work Sunday to Wednesday 6am to 6pm and available 7pm to Midnight. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I am available most hours. Please feel free to reach out. About: Hi! I’m Quin. I grew up with cats, dogs, a bunny, and was a member of an Alpaca 4-H club since I was in 3rd grade, I don’t know a world without animals. I genuinely love getting to know people’s pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. My current house currently boasts four cats of various ages, from kittens to an old lady, and a young Australian Shepherd mix. Because of this, I'm very comfortable with both cats, dogs, and households that have multiple pets. I've also spent a large part of my life caring for senior animals and pets who need a little extra attention. I've managed medications, special diets, frequent potty breaks, and other individualized care, including caring for a previous dog with a seizure disorder. My approach to pet care is to meet each animal where they are. I love matching their energy, whether that means a long walk and plenty of playtime, some quiet companionship, or simply giving a shy pet the time and space they need to become comfortable with me. I'm detail-oriented and happy to follow specific routines and care instructions because I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is being cared for exactly the way you would care for them.
