Safety, trust & environment
For house sittings, I give the the houses with fenced in backyards both your pets and myself to stay outdoors with one another for a longer period of time in a safer environment to get to know one another, especially during first time visits. I love to lounge around the house and get to know your fur babies, especially during my first few times of interacting with them, just to establish care and trust during this time.
Information Rebecca Z. would like to know about your pet
I like to know as much information as the owners are comfortable disclosing so that I can be as safe and prepared to care to their animals as I possibly can be :) There is no such thing as too little or too much info for me- I am ready to know as much as you'd like to share!
A typical day
I will take them on walks based upon their energy level and adjust the distance accordingly. Also, I will simply let them go potty outside if there is a yard out back, easy peasy. I mainly base it off of what your family likes to do with them on the day to day so that they're not too out of their routine, and feel safe and comfortable with me as a new hooman to help care for them. If there are parks close by, all the better! Depending on what work looks like for me, and how the weather is, I like to take trips outside and get those steps in and that energy out :D Depending on whether or not you have a fenced in backyard determines how I will spend my time with them. If I can keep them close to home in the safety of your backyard, I will spend a lot of time giving them their outdoor fix for most of the day close to home, especially to start off. If your home does not have a yard, I will find a way to have them exert energy outside wherever I can find a safe and open environment.

Pet care experience
I rescued my black lab 10 years ago on my own, and have groomed in and assisted in veterinary hospitals in the past. I grew up with a dog and cats and love most all animals. I used to be a veterinary assistant for a few years before covid, and I have good friends who work in veterinary medicine as doctors! I love to learn as much as I can in that field as well. I am fully available to care and love your animals- The sooner you book me for house sittings- all the better!! I will regularly take the animals outside, give them treats, cuddle on the couch together (if they’re allowed on furniture) and feed them as needed

Reviews

We recently went out of the country for 10 days and needed someone trustworthy to care for our dog, Kai. This was our first time using Rover, and trusting Rebecca with Kai was one of the best decisions we made! From the very beginning, Rebecca was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. Kai looked so happy and relaxed in every photo, and it was clear he was in great hands. When we returned, Kai was calm, well-cared for, and his usual playful self—Rebecca went above and beyond to make sure he was loved and comfortable while we were away. If you’re looking for a caring, reliable, and dedicated dog sitter, Rebecca is the one. She made our first Rover experience so easy, and we’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!

Rebecca is the best!!! I have a very stubborn older frenchie and she’s soooo patient with her and ensured she was completely taken care of ☺️

Was very anxious leaving my dog for the first time, but Rebecca put me right at ease. I was extremely appreciative of her coming out of her normal range of travel in order to help me.

Rebecca was a fantastic dog sitter—kind, professional, and attentive. She took exceptional care of both our dogs, including our eight-week-old pup. Her regular updates, complete with pictures and videos, put us at ease, knowing our fur babies were in good hands. It was clear the dogs were as happy with Rebecca as we were. Highly recommend!
