Lefty is a very anxious dog due to his blindness and deafness and had a hard time adjusting to his stay with Nicole and her family. Nicole frequently updated me about his condition and suggested to me that he should reunite with me a little earlier than planned. Although, I wish we could have finished out the stay, I do believe that she tried her best to make Lefty feel comfortable but ultimately it didn't work out. Leaving my dog Minnie with someone new for the first time was honestly very nerve-wracking for me. She’s always been cared for by family, but since I was traveling to Puerto Rico for my wedding, I didn’t have that option this time. Melanie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She took care of Minnie for about a week and a half and truly treated her like her own. She kept me updated every single day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away during such an important time in my life. Minnie can be a little particular, and even though she didn’t fully get along with Melanie’s dog, Melanie handled the situation so well.
