About: I have taken care of pets since the third grade, including when my lab had 9 puppies. Currently I take care my two adorable dogs and cat, and am a very attentive sitter. I am home from college for the summer and work a summer job, but will have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I bathe my dogs every other week, take them for walks, brush their fur, provide my 12 year old dog with her medicine, feed, and lots of petting.

“Richard is very professional and friendly. He took great care of my 4 cats while I was away for the week. I will definitely call on him again for my next trip!”

“So reliable and sweet with my kitties! I felt reassured with the great updates and photos- I would 100 percent recommend Jess and will be a repeat customer.”

About: As the child of two veterinarians, I have spent my whole life around many different kinds of animals, learning how to read and care for them. I have cared for two dogs and a cat at home my whole life, and been trusted by my neighbors to pet sit for them since I was 15. I work part-time doing research at Bates College and have a very flexible weekday schedule to take care of your furry friends during the day. I can take dogs for long and short walks; or I can come over and play, or throw a ball with your pets to get their wiggles out.

About: I have done dog walking in the past for a company in Massachusetts that I really enjoyed. I grew up with dogs and have 3 dogs of my own now. One of the being a disabled puppy and all 3 I have raised since puppyhood. I am the sole provider and care taker of my dogs and I am so grateful to have them! I have always cared a lot of animals but dogs have especially always had a special place in my heart. I do have some physical disabilities that would limit me from being able to walk a heavy dog that pulls but otherwise should be okay. I am very compassionate and kind with all dogs and look forward to getting a chance to meet and care for yours. I work part time and on the days I work I hire someone from Rover to take my disabled puppy out for a potty break. I work the opposite schedule of most: Fri, sat and Sundays and am off Monday thru Thursdays so I'm hoping to supplement paying for my Rover care by doing some dog walks and caretaking myself. Unfortunately, I don't have a fenced in yard where I live so I would have to keep any dogs leashed here though, mine are quite trained to be able to be off leash in my yard. Though, since I rent a room I'm not sure I'd be able to do any boarding here but would happily come to you and even better if my dogs can come with as well for a longer stay but if not, I could probably make it work as long as it's local enough for me to still be able to care for my dogs.

“Jennifer was great with my kitties as always, and was so communicative & helpful when my plans were adjusted because of a snowstorm! Knowing she was there for the cats was a big relief & let me focus on the travel-related stress without worrying about them :)”

“Olivia was very professional and easy to work with. Her updates and photos helped us feel at ease while we were away. Our cat can be needy and challenging sometimes so I appreciated her patience and caring nature when working with him! Thank you Olivia!”

“Jaclyn is great! Super reliable, responds to texts right away, and sends fun updates. I'm completely confident that my kitties are in good hands. She's also been great with my last-minute scheduling habits! :-p Will definitely be continuing to hire her.”

About: Hi, I’m Makaylah! I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have experience with a wide range of pets—including dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, hamsters, mice, and chickens. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent years volunteering at shelters and helping friends and family with their pets. I work from home full-time, which means I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of time, attention, and consistency throughout the day. I’m especially passionate with working with shy or nervous dogs and always take things at their pace. Patience & No pressure. I use positive reinforcement to build trust and keep things low-stress. If you're okay with it, I’d love to include a little fun, low-key trick training during my visits. I've helped dogs learn sit, down, shake, speak, spin, and touch (nose to hand), always with treats and praise. It’s a great way to keep them mentally engaged and build confidence, especially for anxious pups. I’m also experienced in administering oral medications and caring for senior or special-needs pets. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own, and I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you always know how they’re doing. Let me know what your pet needs. I’m happy to help however I can! Im wfh and have pets of my own so I'm always home! My schedule is overall very flexible, and I can shift things around to make things work especially for repeats. Go on vacation or give yourself a weekend away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will follow your care instructions closely and keep routines consistent to help your pet feel secure. At my home, I have a fully fenced yard where they can play and explore safely. No matter the place, I will focus on maintaining a calm, secure environment.

“Stephanie is amazing. She has house sat for me twice now and I feel completely comfortable leaving Bruce with her. She always sends photos to put my mind at ease. Definitely highly recommended. Five stars”

About: I've taken care of my family pet for the last several years, and I love being around my partners two doggies. I have been around super cuddly dogs, more relaxed, and big and small. I am currently a student at the law school in the Old Port and looking for check-ins and walks around my schedule, including mornings before school, evenings, and in-between! I can help with feeding dogs and cats, and crate them if need be. Happy to take dogs on walks by leash wherever they feel comfortable!

“She goes above and beyond for our boy! She does so much for him without us having to ask. And he is always super excited to see her.”
