About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have been sitting since I was a kid. I love animals but I especially love dogs - your fur baby and I will be best friends while you are away. I love going on walks and playing fetch, and generally just doing what I can to make sure your dog is well cared for. I have experience giving dogs medications, baths, etc. I have experience with 8 week old puppies as well as elderly dogs. I’m a graduate student with night class two nights a week, but otherwise I work from home. Making sure your pets get needed attention won’t be an issue for me! I only care for pets in the owners home, that way your fur baby stays where they are familiar and comfortable. I am very clean and tidy and will ensure that I clean up after myself while staying with your pet.

About: Mike's first job was caring for his neighbors' pets. Mike has had pets since he was 10, and travelled around the world with his dogs and cats during his military career and regional sales role. Roscoe, Higgins, and Freyja are living the dream in the Pacific Northwest with frequent road (work) trips and cross-country visits to the family in Indiana and Massachusetts. Let me know if we can help you with your fur babies. Mike works from home and is an early riser. While the coffee is brewing, all the animals are waking up with bathroom breaks and breakfast. Mike walks Roscoe after breakfast and dinner. Since Roscoe is a senior, we frequently split the two meals into snacks and shorter walks. When the cats are interested, they climb into the backpacks and go see the world with us. I pay attention to the animals' behavior and routines. Consistency in feeding and bathroom breaks has made my pets very comfortable with my work and social routines. I have the flexibility to meet your routines and maintain the consistency you expect with your family while away from home. I recognize when it's time to stop playing, reduce the mileage, or go to the vet.

I am someone who struggles to let others care for my animals and I panic if I cannot check in with my dogs when ever I leave home for too long. Brittany was amazing in alleviating all my concerns. His care required constant attention, patience, mobility assistance, and adapting to his changing needs each day. I even modified a wheelchair for him so he could continue enjoying walks and time outside comfortably until he passed. This allows me to give dogs consistent attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long periods. I genuinely enjoy being active and spending time with dogs, so walks and one-on-one attention are something I look forward to. Because I work from home, I’m also able to closely monitor pets, stick to feeding or medication schedules, and provide updates and communication so owners feel comfortable while they’re away. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. Every dog has a different personality and energy level, so I adjust my care based on their needs — whether that’s long walks and playtime, calm companionship, extra patience with anxiety, or slower-paced senior care. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of both the pet’s routine and the home itself. I follow feeding schedules closely, make sure dogs get plenty of exercise and attention, and provide regular updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their pet is doing well. Because of my experience caring for my paralyzed Great Dane, I’m also very attentive to details and comfortable with dogs who may need extra support, patience, or monitoring. About: I have always loved animals in general, but I still haven’t found the words to describe my love for dogs of all kinds. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to care for their pets, from puppies to seniors, since I was a teen. I have experience caring for multiple animals while house sitting for a family friend with 7 dogs, 6 beagles and a chocolate lab! Although I am biased towards dogs, I do enjoy the company of cats and have experience caring for the cats of neighbors and friends. About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid, of all types. My most recent breed was a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees. *He is not with me currently* I’ve had other large breeds, small breeds as well. I have training in ABA, and I know what it’s like to trust a stranger with your family. As an active duty sailor, I am on shore duty and have found myself with more free time than I could’ve ever imagined. Take those weekend trips you’ve been putting off, and know your doggo is in good hands with me Weekends (Friday-Sunday) are likely the best, but with advanced scheduling I can do during the week as well. If local to Virginia Beach or Norfolk, drop ins are not a problem at all. If you want your dog to stay home, house sitting is an option as well I live in a two bedroom apartment that’s pretty spacious and has vinyl flooring. I am only a few hundred feet from a dog park The community is very dog friendly, and your canine family will have no shortage of friends during their visit
