About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have been sitting since I was a kid. I love animals but I especially love dogs - your fur baby and I will be best friends while you are away. I love going on walks and playing fetch, and generally just doing what I can to make sure your dog is well cared for. I have experience giving dogs medications, baths, etc. I have experience with 8 week old puppies as well as elderly dogs. I’m a graduate student with night class two nights a week, but otherwise I work from home. Making sure your pets get needed attention won’t be an issue for me! I only care for pets in the owners home, that way your fur baby stays where they are familiar and comfortable. I am very clean and tidy and will ensure that I clean up after myself while staying with your pet.

About: Mike's first job was caring for his neighbors' pets. Mike has had pets since he was 10, and travelled around the world with his dogs and cats during his military career and regional sales role. Roscoe, Higgins, and Freyja are living the dream in the Pacific Northwest with frequent road (work) trips and cross-country visits to the family in Indiana and Massachusetts. Let me know if we can help you with your fur babies. Mike works from home and is an early riser. While the coffee is brewing, all the animals are waking up with bathroom breaks and breakfast. Mike walks Roscoe after breakfast and dinner. Since Roscoe is a senior, we frequently split the two meals into snacks and shorter walks. When the cats are interested, they climb into the backpacks and go see the world with us. I pay attention to the animals' behavior and routines. Consistency in feeding and bathroom breaks has made my pets very comfortable with my work and social routines. I have the flexibility to meet your routines and maintain the consistency you expect with your family while away from home. I recognize when it's time to stop playing, reduce the mileage, or go to the vet.

“I can't say enough good things about Steven. I was a little worried about finding someone who could watch my dog. He's a bigger dog with lots of energy but when Steven first came over, Mowgli loved him. We played in the backyard and we got to talk about what Mowgli needed while I was away. He asked a lot of great questions and really made me feel at ease. He also took great care around my house. He will be the first person I reach out to when I need someone to watch Mowgli. About: I have always loved animals in general, but I still haven’t found the words to describe my love for dogs of all kinds. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to care for their pets, from puppies to seniors, since I was a teen. I have experience caring for multiple animals while house sitting for a family friend with 7 dogs, 6 beagles and a chocolate lab! Although I am biased towards dogs, I do enjoy the company of cats and have experience caring for the cats of neighbors and friends. I currently work 2nd shift, so my mornings and early afternoons are free for midday walks and check ins! Most days I start at 3pm and get off between 9pm and 11pm. About: I have taken care of both my own animals and other people's animals on and off for around 10 years. This includes walking, feeding, and playing with animals. Neighbors, friends, and families have relied on me to take care of their fur babies and have repeatedly asked me to take care of them due to how reliable and friendly I am. I work remotely and have the capacity to be available whenever needed, including those that need multiple walks, medications or play time throughout the day. In a client’s home, I prioritize keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible — same feeding times, walk schedule, and familiar environment. I always double-check doors, gates, leashes, and harnesses before and after walks, and I’m attentive to surroundings while outside. I treat your home with respect and leave everything as I found it. For drop-ins and walks, I focus on safety, patience, and clear communication. I’ll send updates and photos so you know your pet is comfortable and cared for. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid, of all types. My most recent breed was a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees. *He is not with me currently* I’ve had other large breeds, small breeds as well. I have training in ABA, and I know what it’s like to trust a stranger with your family. As an active duty sailor, I am on shore duty and have found myself with more free time than I could’ve ever imagined. Take those weekend trips you’ve been putting off, and know your doggo is in good hands with me Weekends (Friday-Sunday) are likely the best, but with advanced scheduling I can do during the week as well. If local to Virginia Beach or Norfolk, drop ins are not a problem at all. If you want your dog to stay home, house sitting is an option as well I live in a two bedroom apartment that’s pretty spacious and has vinyl flooring. I am only a few hundred feet from a dog park The community is very dog friendly, and your canine family will have no shortage of friends during their visit
