“Marti was great with our 3 dogs! Meet and greet went well, and during house sitting we received lots of pictures and videos. We arrived home to a clean home and happy pups.”

“David was very caring with my dogs. He sent pictures of them each time he stop to walk them. I was very comfortable with him. I would recommend him to my friends.”

“She was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, she went above and beyond in caring for Sandy as if she were her own. She made sure Sandy got plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, and it was so clear that she genuinely cared about her happiness and well-being. Her daily updates were thoughtful and detailed, always including the sweetest pictures that instantly put my mind at ease. I could tell Sandy felt completely comfortable and loved, which meant the world to me. What truly stood out was her attention to detail and kindness; she didn’t just care for Sandy, she also took the time to leave the house exactly as I left it, which was such a thoughtful touch and really showed her professionalism and respect. It’s rare to find someone who combines reliability, warmth, and genuine compassion so effortlessly. I’m beyond grateful for the care and love she showed us. It gave me such peace of mind knowing she was in the best hands possible. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat and will absolutely be booking with her again — she’s truly one of a kind!”

“Grace was absolutely FLAWLESS! We couldn’t be happier with her! Our dogs were so happy and so loved and my husband and I were so relaxed and relieved knowing our sweet pups were in such great hands! Look no further for an absolutely amazing pet sitter!!! Thank you Grace! If we are back in Key West anytime soon, we will definitely call you. Thanks again.”

Able to be available anytime after 5pm monday through friday and anytime on the weekend. I am able come to your home and walk and feed. My dog is up to date on his shots and is crate trained. About: I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely treat every pet like my own! I’m great with puppies; routine, training basics, and gentle structure. I’m equally comfortable caring for seniors who need extra calm and comfort. I pay close attention to body language and behavior, so you can trust your pet is safe, understood, and truly cared for!! This isn’t just a job to me; I love creating a happy, peaceful experience for every animal I meet! I am working part time, so I am flexible to fit the timing and needs of you and your pets! Weekdays are the best bet for me, weekends can be a little tricky! Whether your pet is in my home or I’m in yours, I focus on creating a calm, clean, and comfortable environment! I follow your routines closely; feeding times, walks, potty breaks, cues, and any training you’re working on! Your pet will feel safe with me! In your home, I keep things tidy, respect your space, and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and snuggles of course! When it comes to sitting in my own home, I have a golden puppy, under a year; also a cat, so sitting in my clients home would be my best option!
About: I have owned dogs for over 40 years, multiple breeds. I have personally trained and shown dogs in conformation, obedience and hunt tests and field trials for the last 20 years. I also worked as a vet tech at one time and have experience with puppies and seniors with medical needs. I work full time from home, so I am available most all of the day. I have two dogs of my own that I care for daily. I have a fully fenced in yard, dogs must have a meet and greet with mine to make sure they are compatible. Prefer in home sitting.

About: I’m currently a pet mom of 2 awesome pups and also have multiple grand pups and cats! I grew up on a farm raising every kind of animal imaginable and have continued my love for all animals throughout my adult life. One of my current pups is deaf so I have experience with special needs and my daughter works at the local vet which offers me extra perks as well. I absolutely love all animals (probably more than humans😜) and will take care of your babies like they are my own! I am self-employed and work from home so my schedule is super flexible. I can stay at your home for overnights or simply come visit your babies every couple of hours for walks, feeding and playtime. Depending on your pet (dog only), I can also bring them to my home for playtime with my pups. I am super attentive (maybe too attentive!) and very cautious when dealing with any animal. I understand they are your babies and safety is number one! If we visit my home, my dogs are super friendly sandbar dogs and I have a fenced yard for everyone to play.
About: I have several family members who have trusted me in the past to take care of their pets. Pets are family, and to some people they are children. In my care they will be treated as such. I am currently stationed on Naval Air Station North Island, and cannot have a pet of my own but would love to take care of yours. I am fully available in the afternoons. I work full time in the Navy but usually get off around 11-12. I can be pretty flexible for your needs as long as I am off of work! Communication is key. Communicate what your pet needs and I will provide just that. I prefer clients home, because your fur baby will feel more comfortable in the comfort of their home. Anxiety is real, especially for animals.

About: I’m an experienced and dependable pet sitter with over 10 years of caring for both dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m a hardworking, attentive caregiver who deeply loves animals and treats every pet as if they were my own. As a marine biologist, I’ve developed a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and enrichment, which helps me provide thoughtful, attentive care tailored to each pet’s unique needs. I love providing animals with energetic walks, playtime, or just companionship, and I’m committed to making your pet feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! I am currently working full time, 9am-4pm M-F! For my doggos, I typically take them on a short walk in the morning before work, and then I will take them on a longer evening walk and have some play time with them as well to ensure they are receiving enough exercise! Depending on your location, I can stop by during my lunch breaks (12pm-1) to check on them! I have a part time job as well 2-3 days a week that is typically 4pm-10pm, but I am always able to stop by and take them on a walk prior to heading to my second job and can leave briefly as well if needed! My first priority is ALWAYS your animal and their wellbeing, so whatever you and your fur baby are comfortable with I will make happen. While in my client’s home, I always, always make sure that your animal’s health, safety, and comfort are prioritized above everything else. I will stick to schedules that they are used to and comfortable with, and will ensure that I am giving them enough love, attention, and exercise while you are away! I like to have a meeting with you and your animals prior to watching them to get an idea of their behavior and their environment. I know some animals can take a little while to bond or may be extra anxious, so I take it slow while I am in their home and make sure that they do not feel threatened or concerned by my activity or presence. I will always treat your pets as my own, and will love them just as you do!

About: I have many years of house and pet sitting experience, along with a genuine love for animals and a calm, dependable nature. I have over thirty 5-star reviews outside of Rover, so please inquire and I am happy to email them to you. I only provide overnight pet care in your home because it keeps your pet(s) happy in their environment. I take pride in caring for every home with respect and every pet with patience, affection, and attention to their individual routines. Senior pets hold a special place in my heart. I cared for my own beloved cat through his senior years, as well as my family's elderly dog. Over the past four years, I've also completed several house sits with senior pets, and I understand the extra patience, gentle care, and consistency they often need. My calm, quiet demeanor helps older pets feel comfortable and secure. As an empty nester, I enjoy a simple, flexible lifestyle that allows me to combine my love of travel with caring for pets around the world. Whether I'm staying in a quiet village or a busy city, I love exploring on foot, using local public transportation, and spending time near the water whenever I can. I bring a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, so you can feel confident that both your home and your pets are in capable hands while you're away. I work remotely, so reliable high-speed internet is important during my stays. My work is quiet and flexible, allowing me to spend plenty of quality time with your pets throughout the day. I look forward to meeting wonderful people, caring for their beloved pets, and creating another successful house-sitting experience for everyone involved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work remotely with a flexible schedule. I'm home for most of the day, which allows me to provide plenty of companionship, walks, playtime, feedings, and cuddles while keeping pets on their normal routine. Whether it's a local visit or an extended house sit, I enjoy giving pets the attention and consistency they need so they feel comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I offer drop-in visits, dog walks, and overnight or extended house sitting while pet parents are away. I believe pets are happiest and least stressed when they can stay in their own home surrounded by familiar sights, smells, and routines. I care for each home with the same respect I would my own—keeping it clean, organized, and secure—while giving every pet plenty of affection, exercise, playtime, and companionship based on their individual needs.
About: I’m a huge animal lover and the type of person who will absolutely stop to say hi to every dog I pass. I truly love caring for animals and making them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home while their owners are away. I’ve been watching dogs and cats for years for friends, family, referrals, and people I’ve met along the way, and I genuinely enjoy every minute of it. Growing up, my family helped with dog rescues — and still do today — so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I love getting to know every pet’s unique personality. I also have experience with longer-term care and have watched pets for entire summers (up to 3 months at a time), so I understand how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. My goal is always to make your pet feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away and make sure they are happy, loved, comfortable, and cared for. I know leaving your pet with someone is a big deal, and I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and someone you can genuinely feel comfortable trusting with your pet. I would be so excited and grateful for the opportunity to meet you and your pet 🐶🐱. I work from home remotely a lot and am able to take full care of your pets on the weekends and most weekdays. It is a hobby/job for me because I love animals so much! I treat everyone’s pets like my own. Growing up, I had cats, dogs, horses, and every animal you could think of. I would love to have an animal now of my own, but I travel often!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cudjoe Key
I highly recommend Halle as a dog sitter. I have a lot of anxiety about leaving my dog, Cookie, but Halle put me completely at ease from the start. Her communication was excellent, and she kept me updated with photos and messages throughout, which gave me so much peace of mind. Halle is a sweet, caring, and well-mannered person who clearly loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. She was reliable, professional, and took wonderful care of Cookie. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Cookie with Halle again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter. 🐾❤️

We were here for a wedding and I had a last minute need for a dog sitter and was blessed to find Grace on Rover. She was on time and sent pictures of Charlie and stayed in touch with me throughout her stay. You could tell that she was a kind soul and loved dogs. If we were from Marathon, I would always request her.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cudjoe Key on Rover is $51.06 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 78 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cudjoe Key. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cudjoe Key walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cudjoe Key maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cudjoe Key choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
