About: Hello! I would love to care for your fur babies as if they were my own. I’m home full time so I’m able to give them lots of attention. I’ve been around and have owned many pets over the past 20 years. I also spent many years volunteering at our local pet shelters and helping out with baths, walks, pet adoptions, and just spending time with them. My house sits on an acre of land and is very peaceful. I walk my dog serval times a day and always take walks around the lake or along the river in my neighborhood. We have miles of trails right here within a 1/2 mile of my home. I am home full time so your fur baby will get lots of attention and walks. I take my dog for several walks a day and would love to bring your pup along. My home has a double door entry so your pet will be secure. It sits on an acre of land so lots of areas to walk with many trails within a half a mile from my home.

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life. I’ve grown up with a cat and two labs, so caring for both cats and dogs feels very natural to me. I’m used to everything from playtime and walks to quiet companionship, and I pay close attention to each pet’s routine and personality. We had a few rotations of sitters to cover the several weeks we were gone (family and a neighbor), and Valerie was definitely the most experienced of them all. Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. About: If my rates are an obstacle in caring for your pet then I’m happy to provide a sliding scale and have a discussion upon request. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. I love exercising animals as much as it is tolerated by them. I currently work per diem as a staff nurse in Lebanon NH which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets. I am happy to abide by your house rules and expectations for your pet(s). I enjoy walks to dog parks, trails, playing in fenced yards and practicing obedience and tricks!
