About: While I am new to the app, I have a vested interest in pet care. In addition to my three dogs, I have a cat and two additional dogs that live on my property. I have been breeding puppies and providing training for the last four years. Training is not exclusive to the puppies but for new owners as well. I provide information of fresh food diets in relation to overall health. I am available for leash training upon request. I currently only work two days a week, averaging less that 20 hours. I have two teenagers who are also home and available to help as needed. We have a dog door that allows the dogs free run of almost a half an acre of property. I have a fully fenced yard that keeps in two large and three small dogs with no issues. There are five dogs on the property to keep yours company. They are all up to date on their shots and and all very friendly. All five have been raised with each other, kids and 2 cats.

About: Hi there! I'm Story, and I'm looking forward to being able to provide loving care to your furry friends while you're away. As an experienced pet sitter, I understand how important your pets are to you, and I’m dedicated to ensuring they feel safe, happy, and comfortable in your absence. I have ten years of experience caring for dogs, cats, sheep, chickens, pigs, goats, bunnies and other small animals, and I’m equipped to handle everything from daily walks to feeding and playtime. Whether it’s a quick check-in or an extended stay, I’ll treat your pets like my own, offering plenty of attention and affection. I’m reliable, trustworthy, and available to meet your pets’ unique needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions or special requests – I’m here to help give you peace of mind while you're away! I currently work from home, as I am a small-scale livestock farmer. This allows me to create my own schedule, matching both my and my clients' individual pet care needs, from check-ins, to walks, to overnight sitting! After nearly ten years of experience, I have yet to have a "one-time customer". When in my care, you can rest easy knowing that I will treat your beloved pet as my own, and I love to offer check-ins and updates to clients to ease their minds!

“Kim was a lifesaver on our trip to Colorado Springs, many of the activities we planned didn't allow dogs and we felt so comfortable leaving our doggo with her. She was super flexible on times and we even added an extra day! She sent videos and our pup was so happy when we picked him up and excited when we took him back the next day!”

“Very pleased with the care and attention our dog received. Would highly recommend Meghann snd Rachel. As an added bonus, their location was ideal for our visit to Pike Peak.”

“70-lb Elsie enjoyed her stay with Janae and her friendly dog. She was offered a big bed indoors (but laid next to it, as usual) and enjoyed exploring the large backyard during her stay. Pickup and Drop off were easy, and Janae responded quickly through the app - highly recommend!”
“Anthony and Samantha were wonderful. Very responsive via text messages and lots of pics. You could tell they really love dogs and I felt my babies were well cared for. Very happy pups!”

“Ashley was so kind and and friendly! Lots of space for the pups to roam and she was so great about answering any questions I had and she kept me updated all day about my pups and what they were up to. I’d definitely recommend!”

About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. For medical emergencies, we are established at Westside Animal Hospital, The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park, and the Emergency Pet Center.
“Melinda was very easy to communicate with. She took excellent care of my little dog, who can be anxious around new people and other dogs. I would definitely ask her to watch my dog again in future!”

“Sara is great! She is a good communicator, keeping you updated along the way during the visit and provides plenty of pictures! It’s such a pleasure to know your pet is in good hands and you can rest comfortably about their care!”

“I can't say enough nice things about Hanui. Not only did she take excellent care of my dog, but she offered additional help when I was in a bind. She and her husband are outstanding people. I am grateful to them.”

About: With 5 years of dog boarding experience, I welcome dogs of any size and any needs into my home — from small breeds to large, energetic pups to gentle seniors, and dogs with special routines or extra care requirements. I'm attentive to each dog's individual needs, whether that means specific feeding schedules, medications, mobility considerations, or just knowing how much play versus rest they like. Your dog will get consistent, personalized care, a safe environment, and plenty of attention while you're away — I treat every dog boarding with me like a member of the family. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I'm home all day for belly scratches, potty breaks and walks. This means your dog will get LOTS of attention. I have a fenced yard and a very happy loving 4 year old Golden Retriever who is always happy to meet new friends and show them around. We do have three children so its important your dog be kid friendly (this also means 3x the belly scratches).

“Sara was so accommodating and flexible taking our pup last minute. She was super attentive and patient with our 10 month old. Can't recommend her enough!”

About: All of my experience has been from personal pets and pets of family/friends. My current dog, a 4 year old Samoyed named Nimbus, trained at Under the Sun and is very accepting of other dogs. I also have a three year old toddler who is great with animals. I am a stay at home parent and so I would always be here with your pet. I like to play in the backyard with the dogs and if you are comfortable with it, I could take your dog on leashed hikes. My dog has free reign of the house and yours would as well. If I did need to run a quick errand, then your dog would be welcome to join or nap with Nimbus! I am a stay at home parent for our toddler and so I would always be around. We’re have a 4 year old Samoyed who loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playmate. if your dog enjoys activities, then they would be welcome to come with us on quick errands and or leashed hikes. I would, of course choose activities based on your preferences. I just want to stress that your dog would be treated like part of our family! I know that I want our dog to be comfortable and happy when I’m not with him and I would make sure that yours is as well. My main focus for care is just spending time with them and making sure they are happy! I have a four year old Samoyed who loves playing in our fenced and secure backyard and going for hikes. If your dog enjoys those activities, we would love for them to join! If your dog is older and needs a more relaxed environment then we are happy to just spend time at home with them! I do have a toddler that is not yet in daycare and so visiting dogs that are comfortable around kids would bee important from our end. We spend many days at dog parks and so our daughter is comfortable and good with other dogs and cats.
“Devon gave us a GREAT first experience on Rover. Fantastic communication before and during the visit, warm and welcoming to our sweet pup, and also gave us some local restaurant tips! We're just traveling through, but we'd definitely book with Devon again if we return to this beautiful area.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
