“This was my dog’s first time in a new home, and Marilu made me feel completely at ease. She took so much time and care to make sure my dog felt welcomed and comfortable. I truly appreciated the daily updates and photos—seeing my dog so happy and relaxed meant the world to me. Marilu has such a kind and loving soul, and her two dogs are some of the friendliest I've ever met. She did an amazing job, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible sitter. She's awesome!”

“We recently had Maria take care of our little one Nala while on vacation. She was so welcoming and caring to Nala. Her home was beautiful and we felt so comfortable having Maria take care of Nala while we were away. We received daily pictures and videos that really were so special! Nala had the best time with Marty too! Maria will be our number one choice in the future.”

“My Near just returned from an amazing 4 day holiday at Jacqueline's house , filled with all the cuddles from her sweet son, tasty treats (with my permission) and amazing care. I didn't worry one second because I received update messages and pictures in the morning and evening to update me on how Bear slept (in the morning) and how her day was (in the evening). Punctual, loving , excellent communication and receptive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Will be rebooking again!!!”

“This was only my second time using Rover for my babe Xena. I am very satisfied with the care and quality service received during this stay with Shireen and her beautiful family. I am definitely booking future stays with Shireen. My mind can rest and remain at ease knowing that Xena is safe and happy. Thank you so much for everything.”

“Brian took such good care of my dog while I was away. He made Leo feel right at home. He provided updates and photos each day and answered any questions I had. I definitely recommend Brian if you ever need someone to take care of your fur baby! Thank you so much, Brian!”

“Prior to boarding, John and I along with our dogs met up. He responded to all my messages in timely manner. He was very flexible and he sent some pics while we were away. He’s customer service was excellent.”

“First time with Frank and Thao. They are very dog welcoming and make their home friendly and very inviting for the pls. They have an extra big back yard for lots of fun and dog running which I especially loved. Frank also walked my dog and his kids welcomed my dog into their bedroom at bedtime. Truely the entire family wants to participate.💕 I will definitely use them again!”

“My dog, Ellie had a wonderful stay with Anthony! He provided updates, pictures and videos! I am so grateful to have found a safe and reliable person to take care of my fur baby!”

About: I am currently a student at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine to become a vet! I have had pets at home since elementary school including dogs, cats, and chickens. At home I play an integral role caring for each of my pets. My love for animals extends outside of the house as I look to work with animals professionally as a veterinarian. I have 8 years of experience volunteering and working at veterinary clinics. Through my work, I have learned to handle all kinds of breeds and temperaments. I am so excited to work with your pets and provide incredible service. Shoot me a message with any questions or requests and I will be sure to respond day-of. I am currently in my second year of vet school and will have openings most days at various times to care for all your dog's and/or cat's needs before, after, and between classes. I have previous experience as a veterinary assistant, which consisted of caring for pets, so this will just be an extension of the same care I provided in the animal hospital and the animals I care for in vet school. I am very comfortable tending to all the needs of your pets including walking, feeding, playing with, cleaning up after, and giving medications. I am confident in handling dogs and cats and will ensure their safety around other animals.
“Shanna is absolutely amazing! Our sweet Bodhi has been going to Shanna for a couple weeks each year. He jumps out of the car and runs right up to her house ❤️ She makes him feel like part of the family! I truly appreciate you ❤️”

“Lupe and her family were wonderful to my dog Bruno. They took such great care of him and he’s not in. He’s not an easy dog. I recommend them highly. They were kind and considerate and I appreciate everything they did for my dog.”

“Kendra was wonderful with my pit/lab mix Apollo! Her yard is huge and great for dogs, Kendra was super sweet and accommodating with Apollo, and she sent nice updates on how he was doing :)”

“Lauren was excellent, accommodating and so caring with my reactive foster dog. I loved getting regular updates and could see how happy and safe Daisy was with her. I’d definitely board with her again!”

“Nadia & Liam took such great care of our pups! My husband and I are very picky about who watch our French Bulldogs, so we were very hesitant at first to try out Rover. But after meeting Nadia and Liam we felt very comfortable leaving our pups with them. They were very responsive and easy to communicate with. They truly put us at ease while we were out of town. They had a great space for the dogs to run around and explore, which the dogs were loving! They sent daily updates, pictures and videos of the dogs which we looked forward to everyday. It was so comforting knowing our dogs were in such great hands. We will definitely be booking with Nadia & Liam again!”

“Diyanna was great. Kylo had an amazing time and we got daily photos and updates. If there was anything or concern, Diyanna was on top of it. Great communication and would highly recommend.”

“This was our first experience having someone to board our dog and I’m so happy with our decision to go with this couple. They and their pets were so nice to my puppy Levi. Their house and yard is clean and spacious. They also gave me suggestions on dog food and treats. PomPom and Polly were also welcoming. I will definitely be rebooking and referring their services to others.”

“Randi was a perfect fit for my dog, Delilah. Her and her family made sure Delilah had plenty attention along with meeting all her needs. Randi is super understanding, friendly and supportive. I appreciate everything she’s done for Delilah. And I will 100% be rebooking with her again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Creed home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Creed.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Creed sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
