About: While I've had pets my entire life, I've professionally cared for the animals of others for nearly 10 years. While I was in the Army, I fostered for a local rescue and did the basic training and socialization for young, abandoned puppies to get them ready for forever homes. While pursuing my BS of Animal Science at ISU (Class of '19) I worked at Lloyd Veterinary Medical Hospital with equines of all ages, and spent several years as professional Animal caretaker working at the USDA with small animals. I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, as well as rodents and other small animal pets, geckos, and freshwater aquarium fish. I am semi-retired, and work my own hours part time so schedule is flexible and it's easy for me to fit your pet(s) into my daily life Your pets will be most comfortable in their own environment, and I am committed to caring for them in a way most similar to what they are accustomed to.

About: Alongside our experience owning dogs and one cat, we have fostered over 15 dogs many of whom have had complex medical needs and have all found their happy home. We also have extensive experience with senior dogs and those who need to take medications regularly. Kat works from home and Dan works part-time, leaving us both with flexible schedules for pet care and to give dogs boarded with us all the time and affective that deserve! Our yard is fenced-in in the front and back. We can accommodate for having your dog in a separate area to eat if that is needed. If you dog is use to being crated we have a few spare dog crates of medium to large sizes that they can use. We have two senior dogs, one of whom is indifferent to other dogs and one of whom loves them. Our cat is our house ambassador, who, out of everyone, has most enjoyed playing with fostered pitbulls. Our pets are very accustom to sharing space with other dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and energy levels.

About: I have been a camper (dog-sitter) for service pups in training aged 2-17 months for the Guide Dog Foundation for about 1 year. I live in East Athens about 2 mi from campus but am willing to travel mostly anywhere around Athens if needed. I am pretty flexible on weekends (all-day) and Monday/ Friday afternoons. I am also available some Tuesday-Thursday late afternoons/ evenings but would appreciate more advanced notice. I live in an only partially enclosed apartment complex, so I would keep pets on a leash during any time spent outside unless my client had an enclosed yard.

About: I currently have a cat and a dog of my own, but I have always had at least one pet ever since I was a kid. I love working with dogs to train them, as well as spending lots of time cuddling and playing. I am comfortable grooming dogs. I love pets of all ages, but I have a soft spot for senior pets. I currently work as a caregiver all day Mondays and Tuesdays. I also draw and work on art a lot in my free time. I participate in various art markets and exhibitions throughout the year, but have a lot of free time aside from those days. I don't have a fenced in yard and I have a dog and a cat so I typically don't offer to host other pets at my home, but I am happy to spend some time with your pets in their own home where they should feel the most comfortable. I can take dogs on long or short walks, take them to a dog park, or just spend time with them at your house. I can bathe, brush, play, and cuddle your dogs. I am not a certified trainer, but I can work on simple commands and behavior modification. It's up to you how you prefer I help take care of your pet!

About: I'm Darcy, Athens resident and lifelong pet lover (seriously, my first word was "dog"). I have experience with pet-sitting, house-sitting, and sitting petting pets! I also have two special-needs dogs of my own (deaf, cerebellar hypoplasia, and anxiety), so I am confident and competent when handling pets of differing abilities. I would love to meet your fur babies and ensure they are well-fed, well-walked, and well-loved in your absence! I am an elementary school teacher, so I am available starting at 4PM on weekdays, all day on Saturday, and 7AM-10AM and 2PM-8PM on Sundays. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. My family has always had dogs and cats, so caring for pets has come naturally to me. For the past five years, I’ve been the primary caregiver for my own senior dog, a 13 year old Labrador Retriever, while balancing school, which has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and giving pets the extra love and care they deserve. In addition, I worked as a veterinary technician assistant for a year, where I gained hands-on experience supporting veterinarians and learning the proper way to care for animals of all ages and needs. Whether it’s going for walks, keeping up with routines, or giving pets the comfort and attention they need, I treat every animal like my own. I’d love the chance to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well-cared for while you’re away! This semester I’m balancing a class and an internship, so my schedule is open in the evenings during the week and on weekends. I’m happy to work with your routine to make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need when you can’t be there! I don’t have a large yard, but my neighborhood has plenty of safe walking areas nearby. I also have a friendly senior dog who can keep your pet company if they’d like, or I can provide space for them to relax on their own.
