“If you're new to the area and kmhappen to see that Karla is available, you'll probably have the instinct to hire her. Just snag her help while you can! I have two kitties-my babies, of course, and leaving for an entire week wasn't easy. (Another app that is based around cat sitting didn't have a fraction of the sitters, so I was glad to find someone just as happy to cat sit.) I know she's great with them- especially since I was able to see lots of amazing pics of them after every visit. The shy one sat and let her scratch his neck within a couple days, so... yeah if you're a cat person, you know that's legit lol. I know your dogs would be in great hands, too! The litter areas were immaculate and everything was topped off. She even cleaned up the one "stomach incident," which I said not to worry about before leaving! I noticed that every time I used a kennel service for our fur baby, our dog would get so scared, sick, stress shed, nervous/anxiety, she would not eat, different times she caught kennel cough (which meant more vet bills), and our dog was definitely unhappy with the small kennel space surrounded by other upset loud barking pups/dogs/animals! I believe I can help your dog/pet feel loved, safe, comfortable, fed, clean, exercised, washed (optional), fun/waggy tails, like our family when you are away. My name is Michelle. I love animals! We have a small dog, bunny and fish! I used to volunteer at SPCA and Paw-sitive (Non profit, walk, groom, and feed stray dogs until they got adopted). I have housesit/housesat and dogsit/catsit/ bird and turtles-sat for friends and was suggested to extend my love on ROVER! (Side note: My husband goes to work during the day.I recently changed our schedule to homeschooling my 3 yr old. My 2 kids are used to me caring, playing, and walking other dogs. I keep my distance from crowds, we sanitize, and wash our hands frequently. I clean the house and wipe everything all the time. We got a new Hoover carpet wash, and our dog is up to date with shots! Your pet is safe and will be treated like royalty, pampered, loved like our pup/family! I will text or email you pictures and FaceTime your dog/pet too, if you like. Your dog/cat/pet is unique and special to you so I will do my best to help. I have owned dogs most my life (had my first pup with the responsibilities at 6 years old, and owned/fostered animals on and off for about 34 years) …cared for puppies, adults and senior dogs such as pit bulls, Pekingese, Shih Tzu , mini pincher Dobermans ,then fostered a German Shepard, a black pup Labradors, also taken cared of a Golden Retrievers, a Pitbull, poodles, bulldogs, Soft- wheat Terriers, birds, hamsters, turtles, a class pet guinea pig, and cared for friends cats too (see photos). (Yes, I have a small dog but our house is big enough to have another dog/cat/pet around . I can gate, and keep my dog separate if need) Your pet will be taken out for a run or walk at least 4x a day (usually 4-9 times with pictures)! Schedule: I take your/our dog out first thing in the morning, break, lunch, then around 3-4pm, around/after dinner time, and right before bedtime too ( update you with photos)! I will spend time with your dog/cat/pet. I will sit with, read to, massage, clean, comb, feed and pet (constantly check on, if they don’t want to be disturbed)! Even while I read to my kids, homeschool or while we watch tv at night. And my dog will be gated, separated, away from your dog/pet when we are out and when requested. I left my 911 emergency call taking position to be a stay at home mother. I would love to care for, walk, play, cuddle with your dog and take your dog to the park with us too ! *** ONLY DOGS UNDER 35lbs at this time. Thank you*** I have a lot of room, space, toys, pillows, blankets for your pup/dog/cat/pet (separated away from our dog), open concept spacious house, and animal-friendly neighborhood. I will keep your dog/pet on a leash every time we go outside, so they don't go missing or let other dogs bother them ***Off leash free to run roam inside the house ***! Our dog is up to date with all shots, vet visits, and takes medication for tick/flee, heart worms. We give our dog a shower once every other week and when she gets muddy. About: I've owned and cared for pets since I was in middle school. I own a lovable and silly orange tabby cat who lives with me and my wife in our apartment. I currently help my parents take care of their 2 labradors; one chocolate and one yellow, while they are at work during the week. I'd like to offer the same service and love to your furry friends. I am generally available every day of the week, except on a Sunday. If needed badly, I can do Sundays, but only 1pm or after. I make it a point to follow instructions very carefully in order that your pet gets everything they need and deserve. (medications, walks, vet visits[if necessary], etc.)
About: I have been a dog lover since I was a kid. I've dog sat (and cat sat) for friend's dogs of all breeds and sizes. Dogs really have always taken a liking to me. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
