About: I am home most days of the week, and will gladly be flexible to any schedule you have! I enjoy caring for all types of animals as my family has had a wide range of pets my entire life, such as dogs, cats, squirrels, birds, and many other interesting fur babies. In my pet care experience, I have been an owner of a dachshund that had an arthritic spine and I had to take special note of what could aggravate her condition, so I had to work with her and her needs. I also had a dog with a history of seizures, and had to monitor him closely for his medication needs as well as watch for triggers in his surroundings. My entire family loves animals and we have been pet owners my entire life. I am home with my dogs most days and try to find fun activities to keep them entertained, and I’d be more than happy to do the same for your babies! I have a large fenced backyard and two friendly pups that can keep your fur baby company. I can always separate them if needed, though, should any of them show signs of stress or aggravation.
“Mak was amazing with our cat, Benji. She was very responsive and communicative from the start, which really helped ease our stress during the holidays. Benji is very shy, but by the end he was getting close to her—a great sign. We’re very happy to have found someone as attentive and responsible as Mak and will definitely reach out to her again. Thank you a lot!!”

“Linda was extremely kind, professional, and obviously passionate about cats. She went above and beyond, send great photos & funny updates, and made sure our Cat felt love and safe during our first trip away from her. Highly recommend !”

“I was very apprehensive about having someone, who I didn't know, have access to my home and even more worried about them providing care to my fur babies during my long vacation in France. I met Terri twice in the weeks leading up to my trip. My pets immediately fell in love with her. She was very thorough in getting information on the cat and dog. She wrote everything down in her calendar. We coordinated schedules and she was obviously a very organized person. She was punctual and always sent pictures in the Rover report card. She also sent messages about how they were. I was over the moon happy with her care of my pets and look forward to using her services again.”

“She was great always on time and took care of the puppy when we had to book her last min for an emergency last min trip out of town even asked if she needed to feed the fish while she was there Ty”

About: Hi, I'm Rebecca! I've cared for pets of all kind throughout my life. I live in Ashford, AL and have 2 amazing Golden Retrievers and an 11 year old rabbit. I work throughout the week, but I am almost always available on the weekends to help. My family and I are newer to the Ashford area and I'm new to Rover as well. Since we're home on the weekends, and with my experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, poultry, and other small mammals, I figured that I'd give Rover a try! I'm happy to provide any references. Over the years I've done pet sitting, fostered, and owned pets of my own. I'm here to help you with your pets if you're away for an extended period of time on the weekends. Need to go to a baseball tournament? No worries, I can tend to your pets so that you don't have to rush home. I can either walk your dog, or let them out and play with them (and feed them of course)! I can also help train your puppy using positive reinforcement! Let me know how I can help! I am available on most weekends for drop-ins from 7am - 7pm. Drop-ins will be from 20 - 30 minutes. At least 24 hours are needed for bookings and cancellations. If you do not have a fenced yard, I will require that a leash and harness (or collar) to be available for dogs. If dogs need to be walked, it is assumed that your dog will be familiar with and well-behaved while walking on a leash.

I work 8-5 with availability to check-in and walk your dogs before and after work with possible times during my lunch hours depending on location! I will always prioritize leash safety for both your dog and nearby pets. Long walks, playtime, and plenty of attention will help keep your pup happy, active, and mentally stimulated! I’ll also make sure they have fresh water, are fed according to their normal schedule and instructions, and receive any approved treats along the way.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals ranging from dogs, cats, chickens, and lizards! We’ve had animals in my own family for as long as i can remember we currently have a dog and chickens and maybe cows soon! I have a personal love for animals! If for some reason my dog Oliver doesn’t get along with your pet I live in a separated part of the house so it will be very easy for me to keep them out of contact. I’m currently working full time but i’m off most saturdays and mondays, and then just whenever else they do not schedule me! I’m very communicative and will work with you as best I can! I care for my own pets with love and care making sure they always have what they need and definitely things they want too lol! In others homes I would show them the same love as my own pets and follow whatever instructions left to a T.
“Madison came by for a meet and greet for our cat but we ended up needing her for the dogs instead. She was great about adjusting to our need. She played with them and they seemed to love loved her. Would use again!”

“Cassidy took care of our dog while I was away for an evening. I found Cassidy to be flexible, professional, and communicative. Other than Carolina being perfectly cared for, I couldn't tell Cassidy was in my home- meaning everything was done exactly as I would have done it.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
