About: With over 50 years of hands-on experience in pet care. I've dedicated my life to understanding and supporting the well-being of animals, especially dogs. For 8 years, I have worked as a veterinary technician, where i gained in-depth medical knowledge and practical skills in animal heath, emergency care and preventative treatment. My background also includes extensive experience in both basic and advanced dog training focusing on obedience, behavior modification and building strong bods between pets and their owners. Over the decades I've cared for animals of all ages, breeds and temperaments - from raising litters of puppies and kittens to providing compassionate support for senior pets. My approach combines patience, consistency and a deep respect and love for every animal's unique personality and needs. Things to consider prior to booking: • Are they friendly with other pets? I have one dog and 3 cats in our home. • Are they able to jump a 5ft fence? • Are they protected against Heartworm, Fleas and Ticks? • Potty Trained? I am happy to help train but just need to know ahead of time. • Up to date on all vaccines? • Big chewers? • Let us know if your pet has any special need or accommodation we should account for! I can accommodate a variety of needs! I am happy to provide whatever care your pet needs & make sure they are happy & comfortable in our home. A few things to know about what I offer: 100% Love and Care I take photos of your pet (I am not a professional photographer) – I will try not to overwhelm you! I do not require a meet and greet but am happy to do so. My preference is to introduce your pet(s) to mine slowly and very controlled environment. SAFETY is my #1 Concern for your pets and for mine. What to bring for your stay: Collar with a tag & leash Food (Label with the amount per meal) - Slow feeder if needed Medications, if needed Kennel (for boarding stays) - Anything to make them comfortable in their kennel (blanket, toys, bed) I generally don’t use a kennel if they are good house guests (no destruction or accidents) they can have house privileges. I will provide: Water Bowls (I have many throughout the house and outside) Foods Bowls Toys - Treats - Chew bones & treats Dog beds around the house (I have many) A Typical Day can be: Wake up and take them out to potty (I have a big, fenced back yard). Feed them breakfast Out for potty about 2 hours (or sooner) after breakfast. Relax, play and/or snooze as they want. Potty breaks are directed by their needs, they let me know they need to potty, and we go outside (I am their servant, and I stay with them while they are outside). They potty and play and then we come in. This goes on all day as needed. Cuddles on command and if they just want to lay around, I’m ok with that as well. I have taken all my dogs (past and present) through many different levels of training session – Puppy, Basic and Advanced. Let me know what you need, and I am happy to help. SPECIAL NOTE with Regard to Cats Cats do their own things and totally dictate their day to day and I respect and honor their wishes! I do have a room set up that they can call their own (if needed) and I have a secure Catio they can hang out in and enjoy fresh air. I am retired and love to help people and their pets. I have lots of free time and want to offer my knowledge and experience to people who have busy lives but want the best for their furbabies. I live on 3/4 acre and I have a large fenced in back yard. I do have a dog and 3 cats at home so any pets that need to be watched at my home need to be able to get along with them. I am dependable, trustworthy and honest and can also take care of your pets in your home. If you need to know anything else, please ask.

“This was my first time to use Rover and I had such a great experience with Marinda! She watched my cat while I was away for a few days and she kept me updated with photos and videos on each visit. I recently changed my cats food and he has been iffy with it, but Marinda gave me peace of mind letting me know how he was eating with each drop-in visit. She kept the litter box clean, vacuumed up messy litter, and even washed a few dishes! I could tell my cat Buzz loved playing with her based on the videos she sent. She was always quick to respond and thorough in her updates. I will definitely use her services again and I highly recommend her for your pet!”

About: I've taken care of my own pets (cats and senior dogs) for over a decade as well as lovingly and responsibly provided care for friends and families animals (cats, dogs, chickens...) when need. Experienced cat foster who has cared for sick and very young kittens. I work from home, have a flexible schedule, and my cat is very low maintenance so I have ample time to support others needing some extra hands to support their pet. Pets in my home would be under my supervision at all times and/or leashed for any outdoor excursions. About: I am currently receiving my second Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and I work as an intern at KC Well Co in Kansas City! I've always loved taking care of animals and find so much joy in spending time with my own dog, Milo. I enjoy being active, especially walking in nature and exploring outdoor areas. Going to the dog park, walking on trails, and playing in my apartment's dog run are some of my favorite activities to do with pets I sit! I have experience with a variety of breeds and sizes, and am excited to learn more about puppies and senior dogs. It is important to me to treat every pet with the most respect and attention. I want the transition from owner to sitter for a pet to be stress free. I give every animal my all like they are my own! My schedule is currently open to repeat and one time clients with a great amount of flexibility on days and times, especially for overnight sitting in my home. I live in Kansas City, MO around the Plaza neighborhood. I am home most days at the moment but as I gain more clients at work, this will change. I would love to take care of your home as well as you're away. I am also comfortable with doing meetings before the booking to ensure your pet is comfortable with me in their environment or in mine. I am currently working part-time so your pup will receive lots of love and attention! I have my own dog who I never leave home for more than 5 hours at a time. I have grown accustomed to scheduling my day with my pup in mind and I’ll do the same for yours. I don’t have a yard but I do have a small dog run at my apartment and live in an area where walking is a breeze. I have my own dog that will be able to keep yours company if I’m ever out and about. Dogs are like family to me which means they can have all the cuddles on the couch and my bed!

About: I am a third year veterinary student in KC for the summer at an internship! I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant for 6 years now and have gained experience in handling and working with all breeds and sizes of dogs, as well as cats. I have also been petsitting for family friends for 5 years and have plenty of experience making pets feels comfortable while their owner is away. I am comfortable handling any dog or cat, with anything from giving medications to your senior pup to walks and exercise for the more energetic ones! I’m currently working full-time during the week with some evening hours available. I am also typically available all day during the weekend and on most holidays. As I am currently renting, I am not able to care for pets in my own home. However, I am more than willing to travel and take care of your fur-baby in the comfort of their own home!
