Julie accepted my last-minute booking without hesitation, and I'm so grateful she was available! She was incredibly responsive, kept me updated, followed every instruction perfectly, and took the sweetest pictures of my dog. It was clear my dog felt comfortable and loved being with her. I highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring. I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Brandon is receptive and communicative. He cares about my animals and was especially helpful when my dog began not feeling well and had some accidents. If he had a question to make sure he was giving my animals thr best care possible, he wasn't afraid to ask. He had his hands full with my animals but did very well and I know they were happy while I was away. Definitely will use again.

I will definitely be using Rich again for a puppy sleepover. He was great with communication and asked appropriate questions. Very reliable and trustworthy. Needed a last minute change while booking and he was extremely understanding and flexible. I felt at ease with all the adorable photos he sent of my fur baby. Definitely recommend. Also, went above and beyond what I asked. Thank you Rich!

This is the first time I had someone stay in my home to care for Chica. Alexys was great. She came by the house the day before we were leaving for a meet and greet. She arrived on time, stayed one night overnight, washed the sheets and made the bed. That was above and beyond. And Chica was happy. I would definitely use Alexys again and recommend her to anyone need pet sitting/walking services.

Kim is a rockstar. She's so attentive, thorough, and is an absolute joy to have pet sitting. When I was away, she made sure to stay in constant communication with me. She even gave my pup extra attention because it was his birthday. And somehow she got my cat, who's an anti-social deviant, to come out and play! Do yourself a favor and have Kim watch your little fur family. I can't recommend her enough.

Troy & Shalah were excellent sitters for my puppies! They stayed overnight and made sure the dogs were happy and comfortable the whole time. I really appreciated all the picture updates and the care they put in. The house was spotless when we returned, and the pups were very content. I’ll definitely be booking them again for our next overnight stays!

About: I have owned dogs and cats of all sizes and I am comfortable with both puppies and senior animals. I have a secure, large yard, air conditioning, and full-time availability to spoil your pet. (My dog has passed so no pets live in the home). I'm very attuned to animals needs and make sure they're comfortable and calm. I am happy to host multiple pets at once as long as your pet is friendly (can host cats alone without other animals). I work from home part time. My house is very chill and my schedule is flexible. I rarely need to leave the house, and if your dog has separation anxiety i can plan to be fully available. I drive so I can attend to pets as needed throughout the day and evening at your home. If at my home, we will mostly hang out on the first floor where your pet can access food and water. I provide frequent bathroom breaks and time out in the yard (or a quick walk around the neighborhood). At clients homes, I make sure the pet is comfortable in its natural environment, play, and take them outside as needed.

1,000,000/5 stars for Jesse’s phenomenal job babysitting my energetic 2 year old pug!! I was in a pinch as a loved one unfortunately passed, leaving me on a time crunch to find a sitter for a funeral. My dog is recovering from eye surgery which initially made me nervous about putting him in someone else’s care. From other reviews, I could instantly tell that Jesse would be the perfect fit, and I could not be happier with the outcome! Jesse went above and beyond with excellent communication, punctuality, a positive attitude, and a relaxed demeanor. My dog and Jesse instantly got along, Jesse was ready to jump right in! I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in great hands, an understatement. Jesse was so awesome that I’m thinking of planning some vacations, I won’t have to even think twice about who to go to for watching my little pup. I’m so happy that my dog has a new buddy and someone I can truly trust. I highly recommend his services and will be spreading the word. If you’re looking for a sitter, JESSE IS THE BEST!!!!!!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have always had a love for animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. As a registered nurse, I’m responsible, dependable, and attentive to details, so you can feel confident your pet will be safe and well cared for. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, exercise, playtime, and updates while you’re away. I’ll treat your pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m a registered nurse, so my schedule varies, but I plan my pet care bookings around my work to ensure every pet gets the attention they deserve. On my days off, I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and sticking to your pet’s normal routine. I’ll always communicate my availability clearly and provide updates while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special care requests. I’m experienced caring for both dogs and cats, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. As a registered nurse, I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and attentive to changes in behavior or health. I’ll also send regular photos and updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I am currently a German Shepherd mom, but I have experience owning and training dogs of all sizes! The most important thing I have learned in my experience with dogs is that they are all different regardless of breed. I cannot wait to build a bond with your furry friend and give them the care they deserve! Additionally, I have received professional training for use of an e-collar and prong collar, should your furry friend need to be walked with either of those. On the weekdays, I usually get home around 6:30, and I like to go for a leisurely walk as opposed to the gym, so it would be the perfect time to walk your furry friend! Additionally, I work as a grad student in a research lab, and I make my own work schedule. So, my schedule is relatively flexible, and I can be available in the early morning or late night if need be. I own a German shepherd, so I am very experienced in providing the time and attention necessary to stimulate and occupy your furry friend during our walks. Additionally, the apartment complex I live in has a private dog park that your furry friend can be taken to if you’re interested.

About: Hi! My name is Amanda and I’m a dependable animal lover with experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities. I’ve had dogs and cats all my life, which has given me a strong understanding of animal care and behavior. I have experience with large breeds including German Shepherds and Huskies, chocolate labs and small breeds as well so I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and long walks. I understand how important pets are to a family and will treat your pet like my own while providing safe, loving, and reliable care. I work Monday- Friday from home so your baby will almost never be alone while staying over. My morning normally begins around 6a.m. With my day ending around midnight. I have a large fenced in yard perfect for catching some sun rays and getting the zombies out. I do have two dogs to keep your furry baby comfy. However if you would like them to be separated I can keep them separated on different floors in my home.

We cant thank Matt enough for watching Indy on our wedding day. He was able to stick by Indy’s side through all the chaos going on in the house. I was worried about our pup since it would be a new experience for him. Matt gave me regular updates on how he was doing as well as sent pictures and really put our minds at ease. 5/5 would recommend!

Excellent care and communication! Jimi connected with my cats upon first meeting them and they were right at home with him. Photo updates and periodic check-ins made leaving my cats easier knowing they were well tended to. It was also wonderful to come home to a clean and tidy space and tend to unpacking rather than the linens, vacuuming, and dishes. I would highly recommend Jimi to care for your pets and home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 5,382 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cornwells Heights-Eddington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cornwells Heights-Eddington walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cornwells Heights-Eddington maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cornwells Heights-Eddington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cornwells Heights-Eddington. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
