If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Christi was absolutely amazing, giving the best updates and perfectly managing every detail. She created ease for us in ways that went above and beyond pet care, but we also felt confident that our fur baby was treated like a princess. We are so grateful for her level of care and highly recommend!

Elizabeth is very communicative and will send you frequent updates and photos to keep you updated on your pets. During her time with my dogs, she had to deal with one doggo who wasn’t feeling well and as a result, he made a big mess and then with our fire alarm going off non-stop due to a lack of batteries… ooof. She handled both situations well, cleaning up after the dog, even replacing our fire alarm batteries, and keeping me updated on everything. She is very responsible and takes good care of the doggos!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs basically my whole life. I have trained my own dog and of course taken care of her since she was a puppy. Family and friends trust me to pet sit their dogs. I specialize in tummy rubs and playtime! I am currently a highschool graduate, and I’m going to college in the fall. To all my clients: I am still able to petsit your fur babies when I come back down for breaks! I work part time at a restaurant, so my availability is flexible. I am free most afternoons but all nights! I have a fenced-in yard and one friendly dog to keep company. I also have a crate if needed for anything if needed. (I also have probably about 10,000 dog toys to keep your fur babies entertained 🤣)

Christina was able to help me on very short notice and stayed at my home for an entire week. From the moment she arrived, I felt completely at ease knowing my animals and home were in such capable hands. She was excellent about sending photos and updates throughout my trip, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I returned home, the house was spotless, and all of my animals were happy, healthy, and well cared for. One of the biggest challenges for me is finding someone who is experienced with a variety of animals—not just cats and dogs, but also goats, chickens, guinea fowl, and geese. Christina handled all of them with confidence and care. She is incredibly trustworthy, dependable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. I am beyond happy with her services and cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets and home as if they were her own, Christina is the one! ❤️🐾🐐🐓🪿

About: I have had animals all my life, dogs, cats, rodents, and birds. I'm experienced with younger and older animals as well as giving medicines and other. I'm currently a college student and don't work so I have plenty of time to play with pups / kitties and come by for feedings and other. When pet sitting I typically will go by 2 to 3 times a day for feeding and play. I'm always careful around animals especially when they don't know me, I know some can take some time to warm up! I can do walks, play in house, or a backyard if allowed, and other general care.

About: Update: I will not be available May 18-25, and Jun 2-14 I love dogs!! I've fostered many dogs and volunteered at many shelters. I've had seniors and even fostered one with spina bifida. My first two loves were English Bulldogs. I have lots of experience with them and know that smooshy face breeds are much more delicate than other breeds. I absolutly love them! I'm not good with extremely energtic dogs, but can handle anything else. I am semi-retired. I currently work part time on Friday and Sundays with an occasional third day, so I am home a lot. I have plenty of time to devote to your pooch. In my home, I care for your pet just as I care for mine. Of course, with your direction implemented also. I do have a pool, so I will need to know how your dog is around pools, or if they have zero experience with pools, I will need to know that as well.

About: 🌱Since a little girl all the way up to now I have been surrounded by animals. I have experience in caring for both cats and dogs alike as I have fur babies myself; 3 cats and a Pharaoh Hound. 🌱 🌿I will gladly follow special care instructions and supervision advisories as needed to ensure your pet is comfortable in their own home.🌿 ✨Have an Exotic/ “Unconventional” pet? I’ll care for them too! 🐠🦜🐁🐍🦎( this excludes Insect pets.)✨ All I ask is that if I am to pet sit to please allow me to bring my dog if it is overnight stay. I am typically available full-time on the weekends only as I have all day off on those days. Weekdays I am available after 5pm. After I get off of work I typically care for my own pets before relaxing myself. I like to follow instructions provided by the owner. I typically prefer to give pets their respective space unless they show to be needy with affection or hyperactive and need an outlet for their energy via playtime!

About: I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is just second nature to me. I currently care for 8 cats, 1 dog, 8 chickens, and 3 ducks, and I’ve personally rescued and rehabilitated multiple feral cats over the years. I have experience with large breeds (I own a German Shepherd) as well as tiny pups, and I’ve handled everything from energetic walks to shy, gentle introductions. Whether it’s cats, dogs, or even farm animals, I’m confident, patient, and experienced with all kinds of personalities and needs. Your pets will be treated like family with me. My schedule as a kennel technician varies weekly, with shifts either from 6:00 AM–1:30 PM or 1:30 PM–8:30 PM. This flexibility allows me to offer visits before or after work, and I’m also available for overnight stays. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to make sure they get consistent, reliable care. When I care for your pet, my goal is to make them feel completely safe, understood, and loved. just like they would with you. I follow your routines carefully and give each animal the attention they need to feel comfortable while you’re away.

About: I've never met an animal I didn't like. I know how important it is to find a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter. I am a sucker for animals and have rescued all of mine. Your pet is the best judge of character you need! As a stay at home mom, I have a good amount of availability and flexibility to provide all the care that your pets need! I am very easy going and happy to accommodate. Besides the necessities like food, water and time outside, I believe it is equally important to provide all pets with plenty of attention, playtime, socialization, exercise, walks & love!

About: Hi, I’m Jessica-Sue, and I’d love to treat your pets like royalty! 👑 I come from a family of lifelong dog lovers—my mom rescued dogs, and my great aunt was a breeder and international dog judge. I also had a beloved cat, Lilly Anne, who passed in 2018, and I still hold a special place in my heart for her. I have over a decade of experience caring for cats, dogs, birds, puppies, kittens, and senior animals. I’m comfortable giving medication to both dogs and cats. I’ve fostered cats in the past and truly enjoy caring for animals of all kinds. I’ll care for your home respectfully and give your pets the love and attention they deserve. For all first-time bookings, I require a short meet-and-greet or video chat so your pets can get familiar with me and so we can review their routine and needs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or booking requests—I’d love to connect! I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been housesitting and petsitting for over a decade through word of mouth, TrustedHousesitters, and House Sitters America. You’re welcome to check out my TrustedHousesitters profile to see my five-star reviews. I’ve also included some reviews below. I’m also happy to provide reference contacts upon request. “Jessica-Sue was incredibly flexible and easy to coordinate with. She is amazing with animals and she and Rupert LOVED each other immediately. She left my house looking spotless!” (Hound dog Rupert and two cats) Sarah THS, Brooklyn NYC Dec 2024 “Jessica-Sue was so great we asked her back a second time. Great with our pets and home.” (Border Collie Puppy, cat and lizard) Matthew THS, Savannah, GA Oct 2025 "I highly recommend Jessica-Sue for your house/pet sitting needs! With her calm and confident energy, I knew my pets were in good hands. She is thoughtful, organized and asked detailed questions to ensure that everything went perfectly. Jessica-Sue and I had great communication throughout the sit and she sent lots of photos with my team looking happy and well cared for. I especially appreciated her commitment to keeping my same routine, especially with my dog Bo. She took him for his evening walks/runs at Stone Mountain Park, which I know he loves. You will come back to a clean home with happy pets. (She even watered the lawn!!) Jessica-Sue is absolutely wonderful and you will be lucky to have her care for your home with as much love and attention as you do." —(Pit bull and 4 cats) Eve, House Sitters America, Georgia June 2023 “We had the absolute pleasure of having Jessica-Sue take care of our home, our beloved cats, and our plants while we were away—and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, her communication was kind, thoughtful, and clear. She arrived the night before the stay, which gave us the opportunity to walk her through everything and show her around the community pool and gym. That extra time meant a lot to us and set the tone for how caring and detail-oriented she is.Throughout her stay, Jessica-Sue kept us updated with regular messages and sent the most beautiful, thoughtful photos of each of our cats—each one felt like a little love letter from home. She clearly took time to connect with them, and it showed. Our cats were not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and very comfortable in her presence (and yes, they definitely miss her now!). Our house was spotless when we returned, and our plants looked healthier than ever. It’s rare to find someone who takes such care and pride in what they do. We wholeheartedly recommend Jessica-Sue to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and detail-oriented house and pet sitter. We’d welcome her back anytime!” — (5 cats) Corinna THS, Hendersonville NC Sept. 2025 “Jessica-Sue responded to a short notice request for someone to watch our just-adopted kittens. I was so grateful for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She takes great care of the house and the kittens and communicated regularly (which was key because we were nervous new cat parents!) she had lists of questions to make sure she knew everything she needed to and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend her!” — (Two sister kittens) Selena, Washington DC Feb 2024 "Jessica-Sue did some volunteering for our cat rescue group in Brooklyn and she proved to be both reliable and compassionate. She really cared about the well-being of the cat she fostered —he required daily pill medications and a particular food—and she asked questions and took her responsibilities seriously! It is great that J-S is available to help with fostering for a rescue group or shelter while she has no pets of her own at this time. Good fosters are not easy to find and are an integral part of rescue." —Maria Rozos, Board Secretary of Infinite Hope, Brooklyn, NY “I have known Jessica-Sue for over 5 years. We were in a performance workshop together and maintained contact primarily because of our love of animals. Jessica-Sue has taken care of my cat, Olive, at her apartment for week long time-periods while I was out of town. I know her to be a kind and responsible caretaker. My cat is always bright and content when I return home, and I am grateful knowing I can entrust my cat to Jessica-Sue’s care without worry.” —Jil, Newark, NJ I am a creative who works remotely as a writer, allowing me plenty of flexibility in my schedule. With a background in filmmaking and photography, I enjoy capturing beautiful photos of your pets during my stays. When I sit for you, you can feel confident knowing your home is secure and your pets are loved and well cared for. I send regular updates and high-quality photos during your trip—photography is a passion of mine, so you’ll get great pictures of your pets. I respect every home I stay in. I appreciate clean, well-cared-for spaces and treat your home with the same attention I give my own. No one will enter your home without your permission, and I will leave everything as clean and tidy as I found it. I live a completely sober lifestyle—I don’t smoke, drink, or use recreational drugs. I’m also happy to care for indoor and outdoor plants with clear instructions.

FAQs for House Sitting - Cornwell

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 369 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cornwell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cornwell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cornwell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cornwell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cornwell. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 91% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
