“Linda is exceptional! We certainly hope we can work with her again. She takes excellent care of both dogs and was very attentive with giving medication on a schedule throughout the day. The house is in perfect condition. She is personal and interactive. we would give her our highest recommendation!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs basically my whole life. I have trained my own dog and of course taken care of her since she was a puppy. Family and friends trust me to pet sit their dogs. I specialize in tummy rubs and playtime! I am currently a highschool graduate, and I’m going to college in the fall. To all my clients: I am still able to petsit your fur babies when I come back down for breaks! I work part time at a restaurant, so my availability is flexible. I am free most afternoons but all nights! I have a fenced-in yard and one friendly dog to keep company. I also have a crate if needed for anything if needed. (I also have probably about 10,000 dog toys to keep your fur babies entertained 🤣)
“Emily was a LIFE SAVER to us and our animals! She over delivered and communicated exceptionally well. We had an emergency situation and Emily came through for us in a way that ensured us our animals were in safe hands which allowed us to relax while we were out of town. Top notch all the way!”

“Elizabeth is very communicative and will send you frequent updates and photos to keep you updated on your pets. During her time with my dogs, she had to deal with one doggo who wasn’t feeling well and as a result, he made a big mess and then with our fire alarm going off non-stop due to a lack of batteries… ooof. She handled both situations well, cleaning up after the dog, even replacing our fire alarm batteries, and keeping me updated on everything. She is very responsible and takes good care of the doggos!”

About: My experience comes from owning my own pets (goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters) and petsitting (yes, even even horses, pigs, snakes and bugs). In previous years, I fostered for countless animal rescue groups and shelters, whether it was just volunteering or fostering puppies or senior dogs in need. I currently own a pitbull/lab rescue, Cali, who I trust with few people. I completely understand the anxiety when it comes to trusting someone new to watch over your pup. This is why I prioritize communication, forming relationships with both pets and parents, sending frequent updates and paying close attention to details/routines provided to me. After each visit, you can always expect to find water bowls to be clean and full, leashes hung up and everything just as you left it except this time with a happy and tired pup! Please reach out with as many questions as you'd like, I look forward to hearing from you! I have a dog of my own, so pet care is already built into my routine and something I look forward to everyday. I'm also available for last minute needs and do my best to be as flexible as possible as I understand plans can change :) How I care for your pet depends entirely on the instructions you give me, I strive to follow your directions as closely as possible to ensure you, your pet and myself all have a great experience that is as similar as can be to your routine with them. With that being said, each pet I care for is treated as my own and will have my full attention when I am with them.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for multiple dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I currently have an almost 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, a German Shepherd, and a rescue pit bull, so I’m very comfortable handling active, strong, and high-energy dogs. In addition to my own dogs, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and cats many times, including feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to keep our pets on their routine and give them attention, patience, and a safe environment. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I am available in the mornings before work, during my lunch break, and after work in the evenings, which allows me to provide consistent drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and playtime. I also have more flexibility on weekends, which gives me the ability to take on longer visits or additional care if needed. I’m able to stay organized and reliable with my schedule, making sure each pet gets dependable attention and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and any specific care preferences the owner provides. I make sure each pet gets attention, playtime, and comfort so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also keep the home clean and respected, making sure everything is left as I found it. I give regular updates so clients know how their pets are doing and can feel confident they are being well cared for.
“Tammy is a gem - we are so glad she was able to watch Nacho and Juno for our week-long vacation. We could tell she genuinely cares about dogs and was kind and attentive the minute we met her. She sent sweet updates and photos every day, and it was obvious the dogs had a great time with her. As a bonus, she took wonderful care of our home while we were away. 100% recommend her services. Will absolutely have her back in the near future. Thank you Tammy!!!”

“SHavonna is one of a kind! Her demeanor and reaction to my Lulu's growling at her the first time she met her was perfect. She and her 7-year-old son were the perfect house guests. My home was clean and ordered and Lulu greeted me happily and in fact did not want to leave shavonna! That right there is the best recommendation anyone can give!”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog received! Finding someone you truly trust with your pet can be stressful, but she made the entire experience completely worry-free. She treated our dog with so much love, patience, and genuine care from the moment she met him. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup and appreciated the thoughtful updates while we were away. She watered our plants and left our home neat and tidy the way we left it. I would give more than five stars if I could! We would recommend her in a heartbeat and can't wait to book with her again!”

About: Update: I will not be available May 18-25, and Jun 2-14 I love dogs!! I've fostered many dogs and volunteered at many shelters. I've had seniors and even fostered one with spina bifida. My first two loves were English Bulldogs. I have lots of experience with them and know that smooshy face breeds are much more delicate than other breeds. I absolutly love them! I'm not good with extremely energtic dogs, but can handle anything else. I am semi-retired. I currently work part time on Friday and Sundays with an occasional third day, so I am home a lot. I have plenty of time to devote to your pooch. In my home, I care for your pet just as I care for mine. Of course, with your direction implemented also. I do have a pool, so I will need to know how your dog is around pools, or if they have zero experience with pools, I will need to know that as well.
“Lauren was fantastic. She went above and beyond in caring for our pup. He has separation anxiety and she did her best with him. She is caring about animals and she gave pup great love and attention. We definitely will be using her in the future. Thank you Lauren.”

About: 🌱Since a little girl all the way up to now I have been surrounded by animals. I have experience in caring for both cats and dogs alike as I have fur babies myself; 3 cats and a Pharaoh Hound. 🌱 🌿I will gladly follow special care instructions and supervision advisories as needed to ensure your pet is comfortable in their own home.🌿 ✨Have an Exotic/ “Unconventional” pet? I’ll care for them too! 🐠🦜🐁🐍🦎( this excludes Insect pets.)✨ All I ask is that if I am to pet sit to please allow me to bring my dog if it is overnight stay. I am typically available full-time on the weekends only as I have all day off on those days. Weekdays I am available after 5pm. After I get off of work I typically care for my own pets before relaxing myself. I like to follow instructions provided by the owner. I typically prefer to give pets their respective space unless they show to be needy with affection or hyperactive and need an outlet for their energy via playtime!
“We were so lucky to have Logan house sit for us! From the moment we left, we felt totally at ease knowing our home - and more importantly, our pets - were in such great hands. Logan went above and beyond loving on our cats and dogs, and she sent us the best pictures that made us feel connected and reassured while we were away. When we got home, the house was spotless - like we’d walked into a cozy, well-loved retreat. You could tell Logan treated our home and pets with true care and respect. Highly recommend Logan to anyone looking for a responsible, kind-hearted sitter who treats your pets like their own. Can’t wait to have her back next time!”

He eats and goes out on time, and then he just relaxes ! I will make sure everything is put back in the right place, clean up after myself and the dogs. I treat it like it’s mine.
“Catherine took great care me of our dog and communicated well and sent pictures during her five night stay. The house was in good shape and everything in order. I would definitely use her again.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience! They treated our fur babies as if they were their own and were incredibly respectful of our home. We received regular updates with messages and photos, which went a long way in putting us at ease, knowing our pets were in great hands. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 393 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Blackstock. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blackstock walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blackstock maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blackstock choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blackstock. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
