“We wholeheartedly recommend Katelin. She watched our Australian Shepherd when an unexpected trip arose. I can be a little Type A with directions and she was very gracious and amenable. Add to that great communication and pictures. Working with Katelin was both a professional and enjoyable experience!!”

“Tina and family were the perfect match for our Beckham! He is a spunky little guy with lots of personality and energy and they gave him all the love and attention he could possibly want. He had lots of walks and free playing time with them on their huge lawn, including lots of fetch. Downtime included lots of naps and snuggles together on the couch. She sent multiple texts and pictures everyday letting me know he was adapting well and happy. 10/10 for service, communication, and its obvious that they love their animals. He was happy and well adjusted even after being away from home for a week. He will be staying with her again when we go away in the future!”

About: Patient, caring, and experienced with puppies, seniors, large breeds, and multiple pets. Reliable care with lots of playtime, cuddles, and love, plus daily photo updates to give you peace of mind. I work full time during the day but have plenty of availability most evenings, weekends, and for overnight stays during the week for quality pet care. Pets in my care enjoy a fenced-in yard and a peaceful neighborhood perfect for walks. I have two friendly, socialized large dogs, but if your dog prefers their own space, I can easily keep them separated for everyone's comfort and safety.
“Serenity offered to meet our pups prior to their stay with her. She sent regular updates to let me know how they were doing. When we picked them up they seemed at ease. I will definitely reach out to her again when needed.”

About: I love animals! This past January-March, I volunteered at a small family farm in France! I took care of 1 horse, 1 shetland, 2 chickens, 5 goats, 1 sheep, 2 cats and 3 dogs. I have had dogs all of my life of various sizes and personalities (I’ve had a brittany spaniel, doberman, and now have two rescues; a pit bull/boxer and a boston terrier). I grew up working on a farm so I have been with animals all of my life! I am the biggest animal lover, especially dogs! I have walked and house sit other dogs before and am very comfortable with any type of dog! I will be their new best friend :) I work some days out of the week but can adjust my schedule as needed. I am usually very free in the afternoons every day. As I live at home with my two dogs, I will not be able to care for pets in my home. However, I find that pets do best in their own environments so I can do just that!
“Laura was amazing! From the day we went over to meet her and see her home we knew our dog Rooster was in good hands. Throughout our time away Laura kept us updated with pics and videos showing how much fun he was having with the other dogs in her care. This meant so much! He came home happy, healthy, and I’m sure missing the fun he was having all day at Laura’s. We will definitely be using her for all future trips.”

“We were very happy with Sophie’s time with Joe, Kelly, and their sweet young son. We arranged a quick visit ahead of time for Sophie to meet them and to see their home and space. They communicated effectively and sent pics during our vacation. We will definitely use them again, should we need care for Sophie.”

“Jenna was great with our two big dogs. She was flexible with pick up and drop off times and our dogs seemed to enjoy the time they had with her. She communicated with us and sent pictures, We definitely recommend booking with Jenna!”
“Gio had a great one day stay with Nicole! Definitely would book again. She sent a couple of photos and I was shocked to see her holding Gio when I came to pick him up! He doesn't usually like other people holding him haha so that's a good sign. Fenced in area and other dogs make Nicole's a perfect place for my dog.”

“Excellent experience boarding my dog with Kim! She has a lovely home with a big backyard; she gave my dog plenty of outdoor time and sent updates during his stay. I felt that my dog was very well cared for and would definitely use Kim’s services again in future.”
“Absolutely wonderful!!! Rebecca and Justin were super communicative, they checked in daily, sent pics of the pups and let me know how they were doing. It was so wonderful to get updates I looked forward to them! My pups also loved playing with their dogs. It’s safe to say they had a great long weekend with Rebecca and Justin! Thank you so so much. It’s not easy leaving the pups but it’s nice to know they had fun and were well cared for!”

“I am thankful for Jessica taking care of my dog last minute. She was very flexible and reasonable as I had a las minute situation. My dog came back happy and smelling wonderful. I am definitely coming back as she is such a professional and truly loves to take care of dogs just as her own. Jessica and her wonderful family have an amazing property where the dogs can run and play. Feel free to book with her and your furry friend will find a second home. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Stephen is a great pet sitter who looked after our beloved friend! We had a good opinion of him right away when we met him. He is very nice and pleasant, and he was excellent with Snowy! When we arrived to pick him up, he was calm and joyful. During Snowy's visit, Stephen sent us pictures of Snowy having fun, which was wonderful. I look forward to connecting with Stephen again in the future!! Thanks for doing such an excellent job; keep it up!!”

“Margaret and Mojo were great for Remy. He got lots of exercise both inside an approximately acre fenced in front lawn and on long walks in the nearby woods. From the pictures Margaret sent (and how much he slept afterwards), Remy enjoyed his stay. I appreciated Margaret’s canine expertise, thoughtfulness and preparedness. The house is very dog friendly.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Conning Towers-Nautilus Park
We are so happy with our experience with Julia (and Glenn, of course!). She took amazing care of Rosie and kept us updated with regular communication the entire time. Rosie absolutely loved spending time in her fenced backyard, chasing balls and playing with Glenn, who is an excellent sharer. We highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for a wonderful sitter!

Nina was great! Our old girl Sadie is slowing down & has challenges & Nina was very patient and understanding. Sent us pictures regularly and the communication was great. Thank you, Nina, for taking care of our fur baby while we were away. It was the first time we've left her with someone for an extra-long period of time! We will definitely book you again!
My husband & I needed a much needed mini vacation. A friend suggested Rover & we met with Sabina before our trip. We knew right away that she was going to give the nurturing we were looking for. She sent daily pictures and reassured us all was well. She is the perfect care taker for your pet & we highly recommend her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Conning Towers-Nautilus Park home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Conning Towers-Nautilus Park.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Conning Towers-Nautilus Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
