I’m hesitant to provide glowing reviews as I’d like to have Allison all to myself- she gives us such piece of mind and Blaze was so quick to trust her.

Rosie took my dog for a walk for the first time recently. My dog is extremely wary of new people, but Rosie managed to win her favor. She sent me lots of status updates and a video of my dog playing with her VERY happily, which is always a great sign. I'm sure we'll be using Rosie again in the future!

Dustin has been wonderful! He's very gentle with Larry and very kind. I noticed he takes note of Larry's harness and if it's too loose or uncomfy for him. Larry loves him! I definitely recommend hiring Dustin for walks.

This is who you want! Rachel is fantastic. Great at communicating her arrival time, pet behavior and sending pictures, etc. As one of our first experiences with Rover, she put our minds at ease and comfortable with trusting our dog to a stranger for the first time. Thanks, Rachel!

About: I am new to Rover :)) I have taken care of dogs since high school. I graduated college in 2023 with a degree in Health Sciences. I am currently working as an aide at a physical therapy clinic, and looking to make extra money. I love pet sitting and caring for animals is one of my strong suits. I am always willing to accommodate you and your dogs needs and I will always care for them like they are my own! I am currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I am a home body, so I am always at home and also have my mom and grandmom in the home to help if need be. In a clients home, I will leave it completely up to you, how I walk, feed, crate, etc. your dog. But I will always care for your dog as if they were my own! For pet sitting at my home, I do not have a fenced in yard but I usually walk the dogs on leashes around my yard or take them to the park by my house to walk them. I can crate them anywhere in the home if needed. I also have plenty of dog toys/crates/ dog accessories from my own dog.

About: I have 3 dogs of my own who are treated like royalty. I watch my neighbors pets, dogs, cats, bearded dragon, when they are out of town. I volunteer with a dog rescue when I can, Rylie’s Rescue, transporting, and foster care. I absolutely love all animals! I work part time, 3 days a week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 11-6pm. All other days I’m completely available. I could always stop in before and after work. I prefer to watch in your home, I have 3 dogs, our Toy Australian Shepherd, has had to have surgery on 3 legs, so I rather keep him calm and not bring too much excitement to our home.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats all my life before moving to the US, and caring for them has always been a passion. From playful puppies to independent cats, I’ve learned how to provide the best care with patience, love, and attention to their needs. Now, I want to bring that same dedication to caring for others’ pets, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. About: I've had and loved animals of all kinds my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I have about 6 years of pet sitting experience and truly enjoy what I do. I'm comfortable following specific care instructions, administering special treatments when needed, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, runs, trips to the park, lots of cuddles, or prefers their own space and routine, I'm happy to adapt to their unique personality and needs. My goal is to care for your pet as if they were my own. I am a recent graduate of Saint Joseph's University and currently have a very flexible schedule. During college I regularly came home to pet sit, and I have experience balancing pet care with my school commitments. I’m fully available now until I move and start my full time job at the end of August, so I can easily accommodate daytime, evening, and weekend care. I can easily accommodate whatever care your pet needs, whether that’s routine drop ins, staying overnight, or extended care during the day. I also provide walks, park visits, and can follow any specific instructions you have to make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for.

Tim has been absolutely amazing with my German Shorthaired Pointer. As a high-energy breed, she requires a lot of exercise and attention, and Tim consistently goes above and beyond to make sure she gets both. He takes her on long walks, keeps her engaged, and genuinely cares for her like she’s his own. She’s always excited to see him and comes home happy, well-exercised, and well cared for. Tim is reliable, trustworthy, and great at communicating, giving me complete peace of mind whenever she’s with him. I highly recommend Tim to anyone looking for exceptional care for their dog. 10/10 !

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
