“Brayleigh is absolutely the best and so caring! She is extremely responsible--right from the initial meet and greet and continuing the entire 12 days she cared for my cat. Everyday, Brayleigh provided a little commentary about what Shadow did that day that made me smile! I am calling her again to care for my furry kids and to see when she can also watch/walk/care for my little 4 lb toy poodle. I am so incredibly lucky to have found her on Rover.”
“My dog had such a great time with Bertie while I was on vacation, she probably didn’t even notice I was gone. Seeing the pictures of their day together made me happy and I will rebook in the future!”

About: Animals have been a passion in my life as far back as I can remember. I am a pitbull mama who fell in love with the breed in my early 20s. I learned about their breed by raising a pitbull mama and daddy and their three babies. That pack shaped me into who I am today. I have worked at a pet boarding facility many years ago, and have worked at both the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA and the Fluvanna SPCA. My husband and I currently own 8 pit bulls and 6 cats. Let’s not forget the ducks and chickens! I can promise you that I will take the best care of your best friend, and treat them like my own providing them with lots of love and enrichment. I am available certain Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays. We can look at schedules on a case by case basis and customize based on individual needs. All of our dogs have GPS tracking collars on as well as invisible fence security. Our cats have Apple tags on them for safety. All of our cats and dogs are indoor animals. Safety is the most important thing to me and I assure you I will make sure I am the safest I can be with your pet.
About: I have 2 dogs currently, and have had lots of different pets growing up. I have cat and dog sat for family and neighbors. I have also taken care of and helped out with foster kitties. I am currently working part time in the evenings and doing online school. I am available some full days of the week, every morning, mid day, or overnight. I am currently not able to bring client pets to my home. I am able to go to client houses during the day or overnight as needed.

“Victoria did a wonderful job caring for my two adult male cats and ~8 week old kitten for about 5 days. She was patient and has a keen attention to detail, especially with my helicopter-parent semi-neurotic novel of a instructions write-up. Overall, Victoria did an exceptional job caring for my furry children and I would seek her services again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Victoria!!! 🤗”

“Kyle and Meagan were fantastic! They took Luna to the park and wore her out for a drop by visit! They sent plenty of photos which I loved! It was nice to know Luna was taken care of while I was at work and before my boyfriend got home. Thank you so much!”

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. I am a true and passionate animal lover! My schedule is very flexible at the moment. I am happy to give as much or little time needed for the pets. I can figure out any scheduling and details necessary with clients. I am never loud coming into a home. I always let the pets come to me unless they are hiding on purpose. I take care instructions very seriously and will follow everything exactly and will reach out if I have questions about the best way I can care for your fur friend.

About: I have spent decades caring for dogs—many of them rescues with complex or traumatic histories. I understand that every animal experiences the world differently, and I take the time to learn their individual cues, comfort levels, and needs. I offer in-home pet sitting and structure my schedule around your pet’s established routine. Feeding times, walks, medication, exercise, and downtime are kept consistent to minimize stress while you’re away. I am available for overnight and extended stays. I prioritize clear communication and provide regular updates so you feel confident your home and animals are in good hands.
“Beth was great! She responded to my request quickly, arrived for a meet and greet on time, and communicated with me consistently. After a very long day, I came home to a happy and relaxed pup.”

“Danielle has been so awesome with our dog who is shy and takes a little time to warm up to new people! She is so responsive and has been great to work with! I feel very comforted knowing our dog is in her good hands while we’re away. Thank you, Danielle!!!!”

“Dakota met us and our GS before we left town. We were very pleased and comfortable leaving our pet under his care. He didn't just drop in to feed and walk him, he also played with him. We will never use boarding. We will differently use Dakota again when needed.”

“Mary Alice took wonderful care of my fur baby. She asked good questions and met my pup prior to the first visit to make sure that she was completely prepared. She was generous with her time and attention, and gave frequent updates so I knew that my pet was doing well. I highly recommend Mary Alice!”

“Nathan was so helpful! He was willing to fit me in last minute. He replied quickly to messages and even called from the house to make sure he took care of everything I needed.”
About: I have experience caring for dogs in-home, in a pet hotel, and managing on leash fun. I also ample experience working with exotic pets, zoo animals, and wildlife! There isn’t a species I can’t lovingly and competently care for. Mediation Administration, diet management, and special needs care are my specialties. I provide written updates and pictures of your pet having fun after each visit! When I’m not working as a wildlife care professional, I set aside time to care for your pets! I am available on Tuesdays and Wednesday's, and some other mornings. I request a video meet and greet first to determine if we are a good match. Then, I will get detailed care instructions from the pet owner and will follow them to a T! Always making sure to allow some time for lots of animal cuddles.

About: With years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I offer a loving and fun environment for your pets. I understand cats need a clean space, so I'm dedicated to keeping their litter box fresh. I'm also great at keeping dogs active and happy with lots of walks and play! I have open availability Monday through Friday and can be flexible to fit your pet’s routine. I’m available for dog walks and cat drop-ins throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I do my best to accommodate consistent schedules as well as occasional or short-notice requests. I focus on keeping pets safe and comfortable in their own home and routine. During dog walks, I use secure leashing, stay aware of our surroundings, and tailor each walk to the dog’s energy level and needs. For cat drop-ins, I respect each cat’s personality and boundaries while making sure they’re fed, have fresh water, clean litter, and get attention or playtime if they want it. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pets are safe and cared for

About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid! I recently have been working as a nanny and that has involved light care for pets as well, my current duties are walking the two dogs and feeding them treats and filling water bowls. I am very loving and caring. My previous job involved feeding and letting the pup out in the back yard to play and to help keep track of certain habits due to the dog having food allergies. I am so fond of animals as a whole that my future goal is to buy a house with lots of land and do free lance dog boarding! I would love to help your family with your pet’s needs! Hope to work with you soon!
“Caroline was a great sitter! She took great care of our dog while we were at our wedding. She gave us peace of mind about our pup when we had a million other things going on! We would certainly use her services again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 9 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cobham Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
