“Katrina was amazing! She sent so many updates. She treated our dog like family. He had so much fun playing with the other dogs visiting and was very worn out when he got home! Very trustworthy and great communication! Will definitely book again.”

“Communicated really fast with us, asked us important questions she needed to know about our dog Teddy, and Teddy came home really tired (which is a very good thing). Thank you so much for taking care of my dog!”

“I have used Erin and Chris to watch my chocolate lab many many times! I feel so comfortable leaving town because I know they treat my dog like he is their own! If you are searching Rover to find a potential sitter, just stop and book on their page. You won’t regret it!❤️”

“Steve & his family did a wonderful job with Ollie. They accommodated all his senior needs and even took him downstairs when the thunder was making him anxious. I would highly recommend their pet sitting!”

“Kim was very loving of our Ruby! She sent us pictures and let us know how things were going while we were away. Ruby had a great vacation playing on Kim’s farm and being loved on by her family. We very much appreciated that we didn’t need to worry about Ruby while we were gone! Will use Kim again and again, every time.”

“Jessica will be our first call the next time we need to board our dogs. She took care of them like they were her own, was very organized and responsive with communication. This was our first time using Rover, but now I can’t imagine sending our dogs back to the kennel.”

“Mallory was absolutely fantastic. She gave us regular updates which really eased our anxiety with leaving him. She supported him through a thunderstorm severe enough to knock out power in several locations in the area. Usually when we pick him, he is wound up, barking and jumping up on us. When we pick him up from Mallory's, he barked a few times but settled down quickly and has been super mellow since we brought him home a few hours ago. I would highly recommend her!”

“We absolutely loved having our Weimaraner, Hollis stay with Jacquelyn and her family! We felt so comfortable leaving her and Hollis enjoyed her time with them as well! There was never a doubt that she was safe and in excellent hands with them. We will definitely be rebooking with Jacquelyn every time we need to leave our Hollis.”

“Shannah and her husband were awesome with our kittens! We had to last minute travel for a family emergency and they were available to take care of Taco and Cheeto. They sent updates everyday and were really responsive. Would highly recommend!”

“Lana was the first sitter i’ve ever used on Rover, and it was the first time I ever left my dog. She was absolutely amazing! I got photos and daily updates on what my dog was up to. It was very clear that my dog was in good hands- and got so much love I wasn’t sure she’d even want to come home!”

“She is amazing! Got pictures and videos while on vacation. She actually cares about animals. Will definitely use her again and highly highly highly recommend using her!!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 11 for my neighbors during the summer. Later on, during high school, my family adopted a dog as we planned to train her to be a service dog for my sister. I helped care for Lexi and even taught her some tricks like shake in exchange for belly rubs. I could also help with Pet Transportation and Pet Walking. I'm currently enrolled in college but am free every weekend. I am also available Monday and Friday nights. However, I do not currently own a pet, but I have had to care of my sibling's pets since they were younger and often forgot to do it. I have cared for my sister's dog Lexi and my brother's hermit crabs, and will sometimes take care of my aunt's dogs. I am often good with pets after meeting them. I normally list down important information related to the pets. I also often ask for more detail on how I can accommodate the client's pet.
“Namrita is outstanding! I highly recommend Namrita to care for your dog. Archie was very safe and well cared for and taken on walks. Namrita sent many updates and pictures. I will definitely contact Namrita to care for Archie the next time we're in town visiting my ISU student. Thank you for taking such good care of Archie, Namrita!”

“Christy & Erkam were so great. Daily pictures and updates on how our pup was doing really gave us peace of mind and let us know she was having a great time. They took the time to understand her schedule and habits which really shows just how much they care. Wouldn't hesitate to have them watch our girl again!”

“Maria is patient, understands dogs and is able to make them comfortable. It was our dogs first experience with boarding and she did well. Maria shared frequent details and pictures of my dogs experience while in her care. We will definitely use Maria’s services again!”
About: I grew up with many dogs, and currently own two giant Newfoundlands that are basically my full time job outside of my full time job. They love other pups and so do I! I typically like to do most gigs on weekends, but I do work from home and can accept some dog boarding cases during the week occasionally. I have a fenced in backyard with some stairs going down from our deck. We have two very chill newfoundlands that get along with most pups, but a meet and greet is required to determine that.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Clyde is $40

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Clyde can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Clyde home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Clyde.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Clyde sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
