Chey was an absolute godsend to my family during a last minute need for dog walking services! I contacted her about 3 days before having to go out of town and she responded promptly and was able to arrange a meet and greet the very next day. She was insanely attentive to my little pup, Gertie, for 2 weeks while I was out of town and her daily updates and pics of Gertie were personable and very much appreciated! Chey is reliable, communicative and overall an awesome resource for all of us dog owners who are over protective of our 4 legged babies. Thank you Chey!!! 💕💕

About: I've owned dogs, cats and small animals throughout my life. I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior animals, rodents and reptiles. I have also cared for many animals with special needs! I don't currently work so I am available throughout the day and to stay overnight! I do not currently work and am one of the main caretakers for my 4 dogs, 3 cats and 2 reptiles. I am used to feeding, checking water, walking and playing on a daily basis. Your house, your rules. I will do my best to stick to the pets schedule and not mess their schedule up. I'm more than willing to stay overnight with the fur babies!

About: I have taken care of animals since i was a child! I personally had 4+ dogs/cats at a time growing up since I was 5 years old and even now! As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home the majority of the day and night, which allows me to give consistent attention and supervision. I only step out briefly for school drop-off/pick-up or short errands, typically no more than a few hours total. Your dog will not be left alone for long stretches and will be treated like part of our daily routine, with regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of interaction throughout the day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live on 2 fully fenced acres, providing plenty of secure space to run and explore while always supervised. When indoors, pets are part of our family environment — relaxing, playing, or cuddling in a calm and clean home. I carefully follow each dog’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe and at ease. My goal is to create a structured but loving environment where your pup feels right at home.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals has been part of my life every day, not just a job. Growing up with pets taught me how to understand their needs, routines, and personalities. I treat every pet like my own, providing loving, attentive care. i’m currently doing school remotely so i am available any time needed. Afternoon time is ideally best, i can do mornings if you let me know in advance. I provide attentive, in-home pet care tailored to each animal’s routine, including feeding, fresh water, litter or waste cleanup, playtime, exercise, medication if needed, and regular updates to ensure comfort, safety, and peace of mind

About: I have lots of experience with taking care of dogs and cats. I am comfortable taking care of dogs of all sizes. I have always had dogs in my house growing up, and I know the responsibilities it takes to care for an animal. I will treat your pet as if they are my own. I have taken care of many kinds of pets from puppies and cats to elderly dogs. I have been pet sitting since high school and know what is required for a happy pet. I am very detail oriented and will make sure your pet has all their needs met. This includes potty breaks, food, water, medications, play time, and quality time. I can take your dog for a walk, do a few drop in visits, or do an overnight depending on your pet’s needs or what you are comfortable with. I am currently a rising junior at CofC studying Biology. I will be home (Summerville, SC) for the summer and can take care of pets all throughout the day. During the school year (Downtown Charleston) I can do drop in’s or walks in the morning before my classes, and after my classes in the afternoon, evenings, or overnight. I have an elderly golden lab and a 3 year old Weimaraner. I help take care of them by spending lots of time with them, taking them on walks, providing medication, feeding them, fetching, and giving them lots of love and support. I am very familiar with energetic dogs, and I know that they need lots of attention.

Jennifer has cared for our little pit Fiona and our African Grey parrot, Wanda, on numerous occasions, overnight and daily walks. Her care is thorough and professional. At her own initiative she set up a beginners agility set I had purchased for Fiona. By the time we had returned from our trip, Jennifer had trained Fiona to go through "the tunnel," and zig zag her way through ""the sticks." Additionally, Jennifer has done leash work with Fiona, minimizing her pulling. When I book walks for Fiona , she also stops by Wanda's cage to say hello and give her fresh water. Thank you for your special care of our girls!

About: Ive loved animals and taken care of them since i was young, watching neighbors animals on vacation and volunteering at various animal shelters once i was old enough. I have two dogs and a cat, all adopted and each with varying degrees of anxiety. I fully understand the stress of finding a sitter for animals with different temperaments and needs, having a fear aggressive dog myself. I work fully remote and have a very flexible schedule to be available whenever is needed. With my own animals I am accustomed to puppy with alot of energy who loves to play, run, have zoomies and needs lots of walks and a senior girl who doesnt love her walks as much but loves pets, loving, treats and attention. Whatever your fur baby needs i am here for it! I work fully remote right here in the Summerville area, which gives me incredibly flexible weekday and weekend availability. Because I set my own hours, I can easily accommodate your pet's specific routine, whether they need mid-day drop-ins, long walks, or extra companionship. With my own reliable transportation, I am always prompt, dependable, and ready to provide your furry family members with attentive care whenever you need me I have a fully fenced-in yard and two friendly dogs of my own, creating a safe, welcoming environment for your pet. Safety is my top priority, so I strictly practice hands-on leash safety and high situational awareness during all outdoor transitions. No guest pet is ever left unattended in the yard or around other animals, ensuring constant supervision and absolute peace of mind

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mother served on the board of a Jack Russell rescue — which meant at least three of them running around at any given time. My first dog as an adult was Molly, a border collie who never met a person she didn't like. Every dog I've cared for since has gotten that same love and attention. When it comes to housesitting, I treat every home like my own. I bring in the mail, water the plants, vary the lights, take out the trash, and send regular photos and updates so you can truly relax. You come home to exactly what you left — sometimes with a very happy pet (or two or three...) at the door. My availability is genuinely flexible — some weeks I'm fully available, others I'm part-time, so I always recommend checking my calendar for current openings. What stays consistent is my commitment: when I'm with your pet, I am fully present and fully focused. I work around your schedule, your pet's routine, and whatever your family needs. I provide care exclusively in your home — because that's where your pet is most comfortable, and comfort matters. I believe the safest pet is an attentive one, so I give every animal in my care my complete attention. Your home is treated with the same respect I'd give my own, and your pet's routine, quirks, and needs are taken seriously from day one. In rare emergency situations, I am able to bring your pet into my home for overnight care, so they are never left without a loving hand. You won't have to wonder if everything is okay — I'll make sure you know.

About: I’ve trained dogs to be crate trained, potty trained and leash trained. Haven't met many dogs who don't like me, especially after interacting with them more than once. Even the little chihuahuas that are ankle biters. Our doormat says "dogs welcome, people tolerated". Let me love your floofer, pupper, doggo or whichever term you use. Flexible career where I can make time to take care of your pups. Whenever I am needed or if they’re used to a specific schedule I can make happen. Treat your space and dogs as it’s my own. I am very tidy and keep my own space well kept. I go above and beyond.

About: I have always been a huge animal lover and have lived with pets longer than I can remember, ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I love cats as well and can handle other pets like reptiles with a bit of instruction. I am very punctual and easily handle complex feeding schedules/routines, walks and play time, and administration of routine medication for senior pets. My communication is very strong, so if I am ever unsure of something I will always contact you to be certain that I am doing the right thing to give your pet the best care. In addition, I like to send photos of your pets and status updates while you’re gone so that you know your pet is in good hands. I am currently in between roles right now so my schedule for pet care is relatively wide open at this time, and I would even like to explore the possibility of providing pet care on Rover full time. When caring for pets in a client's home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow the owner's instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any specific behaviors or preferences their pet has. I give pets plenty of attention and companionship while also respecting their individual personalities and comfort levels. I'm especially mindful of keeping doors and gates secure and maintaining a clean, safe environment. I also believe communication is important, so i provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they're away. I treat every client's home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
