It was refreshing to know that she would come in and spend time with him, take him for walks, make sure he had his medicine, food and water. I didn't even realize that there was a "check-in" and "check-out" along with how many pees/poos he had during the visit. It was nice to see how he was doing. Even though I knew that he had missed us based on some of his behaviors, it was nice to have a kind face there with him. She also was good to send pictures.”

About: I’m the go-to petsitter in my friend group! I grew up on a farm with dozens of pets and I love getting to know new animals. I am open to caring for any critters and can’t wait to give your animal some one-on-one attention. I have a flexible full time job (M-F, 9-5) where I travel around the DSM area which allows me to stop in and check on pets whenever. I’m free on nights and weekends. I’m diligent when it comes to privacy and safety and believe in treating every animal and home with care. I think communication with owners is huge and I like to check in frequently.

About: I have experience with puppies as well as elderly dogs, from the excitable to the scared. These incredible friends and family are very in tune with our energy, so make sure you’re bringing kind and loving people into their lives- and that’s me! It has been a pleasure and joy to meet so many wonderful animal friends and get to care for them! When I used to go parties, you could almost guarantee I’d be in the corner having found the furry or feathered family member, often hearing “they don’t usually like new people!”. I love to hang out with these friends- plenty of pets, toys, and walks- and lots of snuggles if they want them! I was also given the opportunity to help move a dog to the Middle East when the owner was nervous about moving and having to start immediately, so I was able to help with the transition with walks, food, comfort, and discovering a new country to help him feel safe and taken care of- and help his owner be at peace that he was being taken care of properly. I also have experience with dogs with arthritis and seizures. I am always honored to get to spend time with them! I am an artist with flexible schedule and always welcome a break to hang out with some awesome fur babies! I also share custody of my preschooler, so depending on the evening, I may have different options for time and I’m available every other weekend! I take being in peoples homes very seriously- I respect their space and make sure to follow instructions for the safety of the fur babies and myself! As someone in her late 30s, I have found that cleaning up as I go and using common sense and past experiences serve me well when no instructions are given for different situations.

My experience training and administering medication I am comfortable training your dogs as well as administering medication. We had a schnauzer that required insulin shots twice a day a few years ago. I also have experience with allergy shots.
