Then I came across the Rover app which was right on time. When I reviewed Katelynn profile, I was impressed. We did a meet a greet & I immediately asked if she would be willing to watch my dog. Katelynn was a JOY!! She adjusted her schedule per request. She even offered to water any plants or do any house chores. She even took my trash out for collection due to I was unavailable. I appreciate the photos & the updates on each visit. I wanted my pet to stay in his home so he would be comfortable. Normally I don’t write reviews but this young lady did an awesome JOB!! About: I was a dog walker in NYC for 5 years prior to moving to the Hudson valley. I enjoy spending quality time with the animals and giving them a fun day! I work fully remote at a not for profit and I make my own schedule. The flexibility is amazing, the pay, less so. I supplement my income by hanging out with animals! In my home I meet pets where I find them. If they prefer snuggles I will happily oblige, if they prefer their crate that is fine by me as well. I take a similar approach at their homes. My goal is to make a hard situation easier for them as best I can by keeping routine.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I rescued my first dog from the local humane society when I was 11, and that experience started a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Before becoming a nurse, I worked as a veterinary assistant for two local animal hospitals where I gained valuable hands-on experience with animal care and handling. I developed skills in basic training, puppy socialization, reading animal body language, medication administration, subcutaneous fluids, nail trimming, grooming, and bathing. I also volunteered for several years with a local dog rescue as a foster, helping provide temporary homes, structure, and love for dogs before their adoptions. Many needed socialization, basic training, and a calm environment to help them thrive. I later served as the rescue’s foster and event coordinator until 2020. Today I share my home with three of my own beloved dogs. One of our previous dogs had epilepsy and required frequent monitoring and medication, which gave me additional experience caring for pets with medical needs. In my free time I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking with my dogs, training with our Belgian Malinois, and watching my daughter ride her horse. Caring for animals has always been a true passion of mine, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m a nurse who works three 12-hour shifts each week, which gives me several days off to dedicate to caring for animals. I truly enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. About: I’ve cared for animals most of my life, including regularly volunteering at local shelters and caring for two dogs and three cats of my own. I absolutely love spending time with pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I’m an active person and would be happy to take your dog on long, fun, and enriching walks, but I also love relaxing with pets, playing with them, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I’ve cared for up to three dogs at once and am comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m also happy to accommodate special needs, including medications, special diets, and specific care instructions. I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own and give them the same patience, care, and love I’d want for my own pets! I am currently a part-time employee. My schedule is relatively stable but subject to change. I am unavailable at the following times due to my work schedule: Thursday and Friday 7:30am-3:00pm, and Saturday 6:30am-3:00pm I only do care at client’s homes because of my two cats at home who generally do not like other animals. I have a Standard F1B goldendoodle who is 4 years old, a Mini F1BB goldendoodle who is 3 years old and a Newfoundland who is 8 months old! I am an experienced sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your pup. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs. Some people have told me I’m a dog whisperer at times… I have yet to prove them wrong. I’m currently a nanny for a 2 year old baby. My schedule varies weekly so i do have alot of time on my hands throughout the week. I am available almost every weekend as well! I prefer sitting at clients home, with that being said i will be attentive outside and inside. I will make sure dogs are safe outside whether there’s a fence or just making sure they are safe and away from the road. I also would make sure they will not wonder off, attentive is my #1 priority. Making sure their safe in their home and not being mischievous is also a big priority for me and your furry babies!
