“Martika handled my needy huskies well, particularly my younger rescue with more challenging counter-swiping habits! It was nice to know they were in good hands while I was out of the country for almost two weeks!”

About: I’ve always loved animals. Dogs, cats, lizards, turtles, horses, everything! Whenever a family or friend needs someone to care for their pets I love to. Gives me the chance to have more time with animals. 🥰 I’m a work from home mom so my schedule is pretty much fully available! I’m super flexible and can take last minute pets if needed. 😊 Our home has a fenced in backyard and 4 sweet fur babies to keep yours company. (2 dogs and 2 cats) We have crates and enough space in the house and backyard to keep all of the animals separated if need be though.

I strive to provide exceptional care to keep your pet safe, happy, and comfortable. I am happy to work with your pet’s individual needs to ensure an excellent experience.

I'm skilled in giving medications, handling shy or anxious pets, and keeping their space clean and comfortable. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and true love for every animal I care for. Pet care is a big part of my life—I do this full-time alongside college. I also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for
About: I have taken care of dogs since a child and been around them my whole life. My mom worked in dog rescue for 10 years so I know all of the ins and outs of pet care! I am a teacher so I get off early in the afternoons and have the weekends off! I will have plenty of time in the afternoon and weekends to take care of your pups! I have a 9-year old Italian Greyhound that I have had since he was a few months old. I am used to feeding, walking, crating, and playing with dogs. My mom is an experienced dog-rescuer and helps me with any pet-care needs.
“I just moved to South Carolina a month ago and had to be away a couple of days this past weekend. I was quite anxious having to find someone to stay in my home and take care of my sweet, Nala. She is older, is a rescue, is a large dog, and the move was alot for her. I arranged a meet with Jerry and I was at ease right away; more importantly, Nala was at ease right away. I think dogs sense immediately if a person is a good fit or not. The day I had to leave, Jerry showed up on time (a bit early, actually, which I truly appreciated) and Nala was very excited to see him. Jerry sent many pictures and texts about how things were going over the two days, let me know when he had to leave for awhile and communicated when he was back. Nala needs alot of love and Jerry was attentive and very willing to give affection to her. The stay could not have gone better. Jerry was also very respective of my home and took good care of everything while I was gone. I highly recommend Jerry and am grateful I found him on Rover.”

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. I was raised around them from the time I was 5 years old and started learning how to care for the animals around me. I have a Husky of my own that is my bestest friend and a big baby that is super spoiled. I would love to make your pet feel just as loved with me as they are with you! I work from home so I would be able to provide optimal care for your fur baby. I also have completed vet assistant school and have worked as a volunteer at the humane society multiple times throughout my life. I am currently working remotely so I am able to take care of your pets really whenever. I am pretty open to any schedule that you may have!! I can easily crate your dog if needed, I also have a 4 month old husky puppy to keep them company that is extremely friendly and loves to play.
“This is the 2nd time Mya has house/pet sat for us and I feel very comfortable with her in my home! And our skittish dog seems to be warming up to her, which is always a good sign!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats of every kind since I was young. Family and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and take care of their pets. I’m currently a stay at home mom, so I will have time to play and take care of your pets! I would maybe have to have my daughter with me while checking in, if that’s okay with you. I’m available on weekdays around 10am-7pm, as for weekends, I’m only available on Saturdays at any time. I always make sure that I ask if there’s any specific information/instructions that I’ll need while taking care of the pet. I make sure to let them have some fresh air, along with making sure they’re never uncomfortable, and always secure and happy. I love to have fun, play, interact with them, so that they’re never lonely.
About: I’ve been around dogs if all sizes my whole life. I currently have two of my own, one being a puppy. I worked this past summer at a dog groomer/ boarder and it was a wonderful experience. I like to think that I am good with all kinds of animals except any kind of creepy crawly. I am currently in high school but I do nothing outside of that. My weekends are completely free and so are my afternoons unless I have some sort of homework which is rarely. I won’t be doing at home services but if I did, I have a big yard with a smaller portion fenced in. I have a Great Dane puppy who is skittish at first around other dogs but never aggressive and eventually warms up. I also have a 4 year old chiweenie who absolutely loves other dogs. I also have a pet pig!
“This was our first time using Rover for our very skittish rescue dog. Before booking Lee came and sat with Maple for an hour just to let her warm up to him some and learn more about her. We felt very comfortable being several states away and got frequent picture and video updates without having to ask. We came home to Maple lying contently in her bed. I would recommend Lee to anyone looking for a great dog sitter!”

“Jen was awesome!! She house sat for 5 days and followed the schedule I left for my two fur babies. Both dogs are large dogs and she walked them every day without hesitation! They were happy and very well taken care of. I was able to relax and not worry because Jen would send text and pictures daily letting me know what was going on. I will definitely be using her again. Thanks Jen!”

“So glad we found Kristen G! It was the first time we’ve left our beagle rescue overnight and we were anxious about how she might handle us being gone. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Kristen. She’s the best and sent us pictures daily to put us at ease. Lucky loved her and all the attention she received. I’m not sure she missed us at all! We’ll definitely be calling on Kristen again! ??”

“Tyson was awesome, my dogs felt immediately comfortable around him. His knowledge of behavior and training was such a wonderful bonus. My husband and I were able to enjoy our trip knowing our home and large dogs were well cared for!”

Whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them, I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where they can feel secure and relaxed. “Jamie really liked Kimberly from our initial meet and great visit. He was well cared for, Kimberly worked during the day, which quite a distance from my home but still came back every day to spend her lunchtime with him, to get him out and play. Jamie wasn’t feeling well one day and immediately contacted me. She stayed with him and worked from home that day to be with him. Kimberly communicated and sent pictures every day. We found a winner, and I will definitely call upon her again whenever I have to leave my precious boy, who is my world.”

“Riley did a fantastic job with our dog. Not only did she keep us constantly updated with pictures, but she treated him so well and gave him a great week with her. She also kept our house in wonderful shape. We will absolutely book with Riley again!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Clinton
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 253 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Clinton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clinton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clinton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clinton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clinton. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
