“Veronica was a wonderful host for our golden retriever. She gave updates through the time she was with them. Took great care of her. Already booked another stay. Thanks!”

“We loved having our dog stay with Jared! It was so nice knowing she was in good hands. He sent lots of pictures which we loved! She had a great time playing with the other dogs as well.”

“So kind and patient—I’d never left my dog with a sitter before and was very nervous, but I could tell right away that Peep was in good hands with Laura. She and her family were the right fit for Peep—I could tell that he was sad to leave them when I picked him up. ;)”

“Exceptional service! Our little Lulu was spoiled to pieces and loved every bit of her stay. Shayne & Jonathan are so sweet and nurturing, wouldn’t leave our baby any where else. 🙏🏼 So glad they were recommended to me, I too recommend them to anyone looking to board their fur babies. ❤️”

“Joy and her family were fabulous caring for Toby! It was the first time we’ve left him for two nights and from the picture that were sent…he was making himself at home! They let him snuggle up for bed and gave him all the love he needed. I will definitely be using them in the future for any boarding needs. Leaving your pup who has major separation anxiety is huge, and Joy made it easy. Thank y’all for loving Toby!”

“Everyday Kelly made our trip that much better with pictures and updates for our little guy. It almost seemed like he had a better vacation than we did! Kelly was amazing throughout the whole week and would recommend her over and over.”

“This was Cinders first time staying away from us, and he came home happy, despite being a handful. Kelly was a great communicator, helpful and happy to a accommodate our requests. I would recommend her for dog boarding services. Thanks!”

“Madi and her family were so welcoming and loving to my girls. They provided peace of mind and were accommodating to our extra needs due to being stuck out of town longer than anticipated. She sent multiple daily updates with photos showing me they were in the best of care. My girls experienced so many cuddles, walks, and a lot of playtime…they may have even been reluctant to leave Madi’s home! The communication was beyond excellent and I for sure trust her with my dogs again! 🐾🩷💕”

“Our young boxer has stayed with Rusty several times - Cassius is always excited/wiggling his butt at drop off, tired and happy when he gets home! Rusty is very flexible and accommodating, also very prompt with communication. The peace of mind we have when leaving our boy with him is priceless. Sometimes we forget all about him until Rusty sends a pic of him running around like a nut and having fun. Highly recommend!”

“Nikki and her husband were incredibly dependable and kind. My dog, Leeno, had a great and happy time. Knowing that he was safe in their hands really helped me feel at ease. I am so thankful to have had Leeno in their care while I was away 😊.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience caring for all kinds of animals — from goats and pigs to dogs and cats! I’ve been around animals since I was a kid, so I understand their different personalities and needs. I’m patient, gentle, and always make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and pets that need a little extra attention or care. Whether it’s sticking to a routine, giving medication, or helping with basic training, I make sure your pet gets the same love and consistency they’re used to at home. I’m currently a stay at home mom to a 4 year old so I am available at any time of the day and any day or the week! When caring for pets, my main focus is making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable — whether they’re in my home or yours. I always take time to get to know each pet’s routine, personality, and preferences so I can keep things as familiar as possible. In your home, I respect your space and follow your instructions carefully — from feeding schedules to walks and playtime. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, along with updates and photos to keep you at ease. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment with lots of love, snuggles, and supervision. I treat every animal like part of the family and make sure they’re happy, safe, and well cared for at all times.
“Jonathan was a wonderful sitter for our dog. He sent us many pictures and updates. Jonathan was very responsive and we could tell that he truly cares for the pets he hosts. Would definitely recommend Jonathan!”

“Dorothy did a wonderful job of watching our dog at her home. We enjoyed daily updates and photos. Our dog is on a daily medication (3 times a day) and Dorothy insured that each med was given at the correct time. Definite strength is her communication and quick responses.”

About: New to rover, but not new to sitting! I’ve cared for animals my whole life, including many years with my own cat through every stage, into her senior years. We've helped care for dogs for friends and family, focusing on fun and comfort, and are hoping to care for others! Though not current pet owners ourselves, we enjoy having animals in the home and aim to provide a safe and loving environment for every fur-baby we care for. Being home throughout most days of the week allows pet care to fit very naturally into our daily routine. Pets receive regular potty breaks, consistent feeding, playtime, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. We have a family home environment, therefore we only accept pets who are comfortable around children. A structured routine works especially well for pets who thrive on consistency, and we only take one pet at a time which allows for focused attention and care. In our home, your fur-baby will be cared for in a structured, family oriented setting where they can feel safe and settled. We aim to follow each pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and rest. A large fenced yard provides plenty of space for supervised roaming, play, and outdoor time throughout the day. For safety, we ask that pets be up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick prevention before boarding or daycare stays. For drop in visits, the focus is on helping pets stay relaxed and cared for in their own familiar space. Each visit includes attention, fresh water, feeding if needed, potty breaks or playtime, and close attention to behavior and overall well being.

About: Hi my name is Cailin- Kay for short and I love dogs! I adopted my dog, Rico 7 years ago-best decision ever!!! Rico was instantly loved and he quickly became a very spoiled but VERY well behaved little prince :) After getting some experience with Rico, I volunteered to sit for my friends daschund while they went away for the weekend. This was a success and soon enough I was also sitting for friends of friends, family, & aquaintences- dogs of all sizes! (Laberdoodle, Lab, Boxer, Pomeranians, etc). I’m new to SC and work from home so I’d love to watch a local pup (preferably on the smaller size) during the day to keep them entertained and give my pup a buddy to play with. :) Look forward to hearing from you!! I work from home 8:30-5 so I’d love to watch a local pup (preferably on the smaller size) during the day to keep them entertained and give my pup a buddy to play with. :) I have one friendly chihuahua who is good with other dogs. My goal is to find a small dog that just needs some extra company during the day so they're not alone while your off at work, etc.
“Our golden retriever Oakley had the best time during his visit here. They were able to take him last minute and we are so glad they did. We will definitely be rebooking again soon!! Thanks Sarah and Brandon for taking great care of our loved one.”

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
